Simon Lawrence, the CEO was once again sitting between the two hostile parties. His secretary whispered something in his ear and he nodded.
"Mr Westbury. Mr Jade. Miss Fox has arrived and I have to take my leave, "Simon Lawrence said.
Knox nodded his head but Violet said in protest, "Mr Lawrence, what's the meaning of signing an eighteen years old app developer for such a big project?"
"Mrs Westbury, the project is already signed, "Simon Lawrence replied with a smile. "Now if you will excuse me."
"Mr Lawrence, would you mind if I ask Miss Fox a couple of questions while she signs the contract?" Knox asked him.
"Of course, "Simone Lawrence said. Not just Knox, even Asher and Violent followed. When he saw Ivy waiting for him in the meeting room, the girl greeted him. Knox asked her some questions which she quickly replied and impressed him.
However, at this time Violent was burning with anger. Even without waiting for her husband's opinion, she announced, "We are not signing the contract with her."
Asher didn't say anything. Knox raised his brow in amusement. Simon Lawrence was again expecting a war between Westburrys and Jades.
Ivy, on the other hand, just shrugged. "Okay." Why would she care? She would just shop around and make more apps. Then, a money-minded fool would come and give her a rare to buy the simple app that couldn't make.
"Miss Fox?" Simon asked, horrified. "Mrs Westburry, the contract will be signed today."
"Yes, Mrs Westburry, "Knox laughed.
Asher glared at the man. "The Westburrys veto this decision."
"Mr Westbury, please do not force me to contact Mr Ethan Westbury, the acting CEO of the Westbury industries, "Mr Simon Lawrence said.
"I'm Asher Westbury!" Asher said with a smirk.
"I know but it's not the Westburry family that owns the shares of the company but Westbury industries. If you want us to cancel this deal, you will have to give us a proper reason and the signature of the board of WJ Technology, " Simon replied.
"So, can I leave?" Ivy asked amidst the drama.
"You want to leave just like this? Aren't you fighting for your rights?" Knox asked the girl.
"I'm hungry, "Ivy replied, blinking her eyes.
"Huh, "Knox was left bewildered. When he recovered from his initial shock, he looked at Simon and said, "Mr Lawrence, I will be with Miss Fox while you deal with this."
"Are you kidnapping me?" Ivy asked, walking beside him completely willingly.
"No?" He looked at her as if he was confused.
"Oh yeah, I forget Jades can't kidnap Foxs. It's always the other way around, "Ivy mumbled.
"I don't recall any Fox kidnapping a Jade, "Knox said as a matter of fact.
Of course, Ivy just sighed at his naivety. The Jade family is just too pitiful.
"French or Italian?" Knox asked her.
"Huh?" Ivy looked at him in bewilderment.
"There are two restaurants within a two minutes walking distance. One is French and another is Italian, "Knox told her.
"French, "Ivy replied. She wouldn't eat home food even in restaurants. She had eaten so much pasta and pizza in her life that she wanted to take a break. Plus, Americans didn't cook delicious Italian food. So, it's better to avoid it and have her sister cook it for her.
When she ordered food for herself, Knox got interrupted by a call. His face bloomed into a smile as he heard the other party.
"Where did you say you are?" Knox asked as if he hadn't heard her right the first time. "You came out with your brother. He went to Simon's office while you decided to explore. I'm at the French restaurant near the office with a client."
A few months later, an extremely beautiful young woman entered the doors of the restaurant with a huge smile on her face. When she saw Knox she ran to him and hugged him.
"Damn, Selene, why do you look more gorgeous every time I see you?"Knox whispered in her ear and pecked her cheek.
Selena turned crimson and averted her gaze. "I told bro that I will help Miss Fox convince to sign the contract."
Knox sighed as he looked at the girl who was looking at them with utter curiosity while sipping on the fancy drink.
