Bikes, Tikes, and Yikes

I own nothing but my own characters. Stephanie Meyer owns everything Twilight related in my story.

Edward, Jasper, and Bella had gone inside the local grocery store before heading off to Renee's house for a quick visit to grab some snacks for Bella. They went down a couple of aisles before stopping as they found what she was looking for. Bella turned and stood there watching a girl looking at some bottled drinks.

The girl had freckles going across her cheeks and nose. They were barely noticeable but they stood out against her pale skin. Her hair was in a messy bun and had a bit more of a red tint than Bella's own hair. She was wearing a black tank top with a white flowing cardigan and black capri leggings with white sandals. It looked like something her sister would wear. Could it be?

"Beth?" Bella gently called out. Edward stood behind her while Jasper was trying to get a feel of the girl's emotions. Surprise and hope. These feelings confused him. Edward looked to Jasper with a shrug. Jasper figured Edward could read the girl's mind. Edward quickly nodded to Jasper's thought.

"Bella?" Her voice was high and light, like an angel. She turned toward the trio and Jasper tensed when he saw Beth's eyes. A pale forest green stood out against black eyelashes. Her eyes were wide with surprise. Happy waved through him as the girl looked at her.

"Beth!" Bella said with a grin, she went and hugged her tightly. Beth stood there in slight shock. She blinked and shook her head before hugging Bella back. How did they know each other?

"I can't believe it... You're here... Wait... Why are you here?" Beth asked, her confusion taking over her.

"Last minute shopping before heading to your house..." Bella explained, before raising an eyebrow. "What are you doing out here this late?" She didn't want to believe that Renee, their own mother would do something bad to her sister.

"I.. um... I got kicked out for a while... Phil gave Renee a son and she really wants alone time with just him so... I'm grocery shopping..." Beth mumbled, she flushed red before looking down at admitting the truth. Edward and Jasper both held back a growl. Bella sighed.

"Why didn't you call me or Charlie?" She asked, didn't Beth have a phone?

"I didn't have y'alls numbers... Renee never gave them to me."

Bella nodded, mostly to herself. She looked to the guys and grinned before turning back to Beth.

"Finish shopping and grab some snacks for a road trip. You're going home with me back to Forks," Bella told her with some authority, giving Beth no room to say no. Beth smiled a small smile and nodded having no need to say no. This was a way out and away from her mother.

"Before you finish, this is Edward, my boyfriend, and Jasper his brother," Bella introduced the guys to Beth finally. Bella narrowed her eyes as Beth started looking pale and her eyes becoming unfocused.

"It's nice to meet you, Beth..." Edward murmured. Beth blushed a little before looking to Jasper before her eyes finally rolled back. Jasper caught her as she fell forward. Jasper and Bella looked to Edward as he watched what was going through Beth's thoughts as she was nearly unconscious.

"Her blood sugar is low," He told them before going off to get some orange juice and a small pack of cookies. Bella sighed angrily.

"She's not eating like she's suppose to be then. What in the world is Renee thinking and doing?" Bella muttered. Beth sighed has Edward came back and opened the orange juice and let Beth sip it slowly. Beth finally opened her eyes, resting them on Jasper.

"Let's getting the shopping done quickly. Bella, why don't you and Edward grab Beth's cart and I take her outside to the car?" Jasper offered.

Bella and Edward nodded to each other before giving Jasper the small package of cookies and then leaving together to grab Beth's things and a few more things for Bella. Jasper picked up Beth and carried her out of the store. She was blushing about as red as a tomato while being carried.

"Did Bella mean it?... That I would be going home with her?..." Beth asked quietly. Jasper looked to Beth as he loaded her into the back of Edward's Volvo, sliding in beside her.

"If she said it, I would think she meant it," Jasper replied to her. They sat in silence for about five minutes, Beth was still slowly sipping on her orange juice. Bella and Edward finally come out of the store and loaded the groceries into the trunk of the car and then hopped in themselves.

Bella turned to Beth half way through the drive to Renee's house. Jasper had just taken the wrapper from the cookies and thrown it into a empty grocery bag once Beth was done nibbling on them.

"Grab everything you own, I called Charlie while in the store and he agreed to have you move in with us. You'll have to share the bedroom with me, but I think we could do it. We did it before," Bella said with a grin.

"Kinda had to when mom and Phil couldn't afford a big enough house for us..." Beth muttered, looking down at her drink.

"Why didn't you move with me in the first place?" Bella inquired.

"Mom didn't want me going..."

There was something left unsaid. Jasper could feel it as he watched Edward tighten his grip on the steering wheel. Their eyes met and Jasper felt hatred coming from him. Most likely to Renee. Beth was probably thinking about why her mom didn't want her to go. But it also explained how Bella was related to Beth. They were sisters.

Bella looked to Edward and noticed his hands before sighing and pointed to Renee's house. "That's her place right there."

Edward pulled in and watched Bella and Beth get out of the car. Beth lead Bella inside. He stayed right where he was.

"What was she thinking about?" Jasper asked, curious, concerned.

"Her mother wanted somebody to take care of her while Bella left... Since Bella wasn't there to do anything anymore... The position went to Beth. Cleaning, paying bills, cooking, entertaining..."

"Entertaining?"

"Phil would have his team come over... Let's just say she managed to stay a virgin thanks to a right hook and locks on her door..."

Jasper growled and almost got out of the car when Beth and Bella walked out of the house. Bella was screaming at Renee.

"If you ever, EVER, come near her again, I will make sure the crows won't find you!"

Beth had a bag flung over her shoulder, her hair had fallen out of her bun and curtained around her face hiding it from their view. Edward growled lowly to himself before getting out of the car and pulled Bella to the car before Bella started back at Renee. Beth slid in next to Jasper and placed her bag by her feet.

Bella got into the Volvo and slammed the door shut, Edward was right behind her, getting into the driver's seat and pulled out and raced back towards the highway. Back to Forks, Washington.

"Beth..." Bella started, turning in her seat to look at Beth.

"Don't Bella... I doubt she'll follow... She has her son. It wouldn't surprise me if she left Phil now..."

"Edward, stop at the nearest gas station, we need some ice..." Bella murmured as she sat back normal in her seat. Jasper looked to Bella before looking to Beth. It was hard to get a emotion from her. It was like she was beaten into submission. Nothing was there.

He tensed when he smelt saltwater and then heard a small sniffle. Beth was crying... Or trying not to cry. He sent a wave of calm to her, hoping it would help. In fact... It didn't. She let out a quiet sob and curled up into herself. Edward looked to Jasper with a shrug. Maybe it was helping? Letting her get it out of her system? Edward nodded to him as he pulled into a gas station. Bella went into the building with Edward and came back out with a small bag of ice and Cola Icee.

Bella handed them gently to Beth. Beth took the bag of ice and held it to her right cheek and sipped on the icee drink trying not to flinch at the coldness to help her cheek. Jasper held back a growl when he saw the mark. It was bright red and welting. He took a unnecessary breath and let it go, closing his eyes, he leaned back into his seat.

Edward pulled out of the station and back on the road heading towards the airport in Houston. The drive was almost 3 and a half hours long but with how Edward drove, they made it there in 3 hours. Edward got together with Jasper as Bella sat with Beth while they got everything set up to go to Seattle.

"I'm sorry about Renee, Beth... If I had known any sooner I would've came and gotten you," Bella said quietly with a sigh. She drew Beth into a hug. Beth hugged Bella back, laying her head on Bella's shoulder.

"Are you sure Charlie is okay with this?" She asked her older sister, pulling back to look at her nervously. Bella smiled.

"Of course. He's excited to be honest. He doesn't know what happened with Renee, but he does know that you didn't want to be with her anymore and is more than welcoming you to our house. Your house now too, silly."

"Do you remember how to braid hair?"

"Not really... But I can put your hair up in a bun or ponytail."

"Could you do a bun? You did it better than I could... And it's sad because I can't do my own hair."

Bella giggled at Beth's pout and had her turn around to start working on her sister's hair.

Edward and Jasper grabbed another ticket for Beth and stood a few feet away from the girls talking in hushed tones.

"She's feeling better the farther away we get from Renee..." Jasper commented.

"I agree. She's beginning to realize that she won't be a parent to Renee and a entertainer... She can be herself. I wonder if she'll be anything like Bella." Edward told said after getting a glimpse of Beth's mind.

"Clumsy and strong headed?"

"Clumsy? No. Strong headed? Yes." Edward grinned.

"What is it? I can barely get a read on her emotions..."

"She thinks you're cute and doesn't know how to talk to you... She's afraid she'll make a fool out of herself... She's wondering if we go to school together or if we have already graduated... She doesn't want to go to school without Bella..."

"So nervous and scared," Jasper murmured to himself. He wondered about this trip back to Seattle. Edward and Jasper went and sat in front of the girls. Beth was now holding a mountain dew bottle and Bella was finishing up Beth's bun. Jasper pouted in the inside. He liked Beth's hair down. It had a bit more curl to it than Bella's and looked good down.

Edward chuckled at Jasper before looking over at Beth.

"What grade are you in Beth?"

"Oh... I'm a senior..."

"How are you a senior? You're a year younger than me," Bella asked quietly.

"I skipped 11th grade. I took an advancement test and they said I could skip 11th. I'm actually suppose to graduate in December since I have all my credits..."

"What were your classes?" Jasper asking, hopping into the conversation. Beth looked to Jasper and blushed lightly.

"Oh..Um... Calculus AP, Civil War AP, English AP, BioChemistry AP, music and workshop..."

"Workshop? What did you work on in there?"

"Motorcycles mostly. Cars got to easy for me," Beth said with a smirk, taking a drink from her mountain dew. "I had a bike once, but Renee got rid of it saying it was too dangerous. Got herself a minivan with it." Beth pouted.

Their flight was called to board and so the conversation was at a pause. They got up and loaded into the airplane one at a time. Beth's bag was small enough and light enough to be a carry on which saved time. Beth looked around in surprise when she realized that they were in first class once they were fully on the plane. It was just the four of them and sat in her seat. Jasper sat next to her while Edward and Bella were in the two seats across the aisle.

Once seated, buckled in, and relaxed, the plane took off after everyone was accounted for. Beth sighed in relief once up in the air. She was going home.

So this story here is a story I've already written. This is just a more updated version. I am in the works of turning it more into an actual story with all my own characters and different scenarios. I hope you all enjoy! Let me know what you think of it!
