Jonathan's Determination

No crying, no regret, and no more fear...

That was the mantra Jonathan had been repeating to himself over and over since he woke up in this place. He was scared, so he repeated it again; he felt a bit of pain, and he repeated it again.

He wasn't going to let his weakness dominate him. The monsters that had appeared so far would all be eliminated for him to learn. He needed to be strong and learn, knowing that even though this place was dangerous, the monsters here weren't the strongest he would face in the future. So, he had to learn and be stronger than before.

After applying new bandages to his arms, Jonathan checked his gear, and together with the others, they walked through the hallways, searching different rooms for keys.

Soon, a document confirmed what Jonathan had just said.

In the first document, there was an order for an undercover agent.

The first thing this undercover agent was ordered to do was to lure a S.T.A.R.S squad to the mansion and obtain real combat data from the B.O.Ws, facing the B.O.Ws, experimental subjects that had mutated into incredibly fierce monsters.

The second order was to use two embryos from each mutant as samples, excluding the Tyrant, which was directly discarded.

The third file was to completely abandon instinct, including all personnel and experimental subjects.

After completing everything here, disguise everything as an accidental death, and after completing the above procedures, report to headquarters for further instructions.

After reading the content of the document, Jill said, "You're right, there's an undercover agent in our team. I thought it was Barry, but I didn't expect this undercover agent to turn out to be Wesker..."

In the last hour, everyone had been moving back and forth in the mansion.

Solving mechanisms, deciphering things that not even Jonathan remembered. All this was done throughout the rest of the night, and the passing hours felt eternal for everyone.

The trio finally gathered again in one place and found a secret passage to continue descending in the mansion.

There was also a note from Barry saying that he had left some grenades for Jill to use against the special monster below.

After passing through the iron door, there is a deep tunnel ahead that is difficult to see without a flashlight.

This is the treatment plant where Lisa was disposed of after extracting the G-Virus from her. Although there are torches in the tunnel, visibility is very low, and the floor is full of bumps.

Jonathan moved forward while Jill and Rebecca covered his back and provided support.

After passing several consecutive iron doors and making an indeterminate number of turns, they accidentally saw a person clutching a wound, leaning against the stone wall, with a pained expression on their face.

"Is that you, Jill?"

"Enrico?" Jill hurried over when she saw the Bravo team captain.

"Captain!" Rebecca shouted, immediately starting to hurriedly administer first aid with a first aid kit.

However, at that moment, Enrico lost the ability to move due to severe leg injuries and could only sit slumped on the ground.

Enrico looked at Jill with a slightly pale expression, then looked at Jonathan beside her and asked, "Who is this guy?"

"He's been helping us since I arrived in this forest. Thanks to him, I was able to escape alive from the Training Center, Captain..." Rebecca immediately vouched for Jonathan's trustworthiness.

Enrico looked at Jonathan and, seeing all the wounds on his body, nodded, then said, "The others from Bravo squad are dead... There are traitors among us!"

"Everything happening in this place is a trap set by the Umbrella Corporation..."

However, before he could finish speaking, Jonathan, remembering what happened before, immediately raised his gun toward the dark tunnel and started firing.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

His sudden shots shook the whole group, but just as they were about to figure out what Jonathan was shooting at, a bullet grazed his shoulder, making him stop shooting.

"Enemies in the darkness, we have to get out of here!" Jonathan shouted through gritted teeth as he saw blood continuously flowing from his wound.

He was a complete stranger to Wesker, but also a threat that should be eliminated alongside the Bravo team. Therefore, immediately after recalling what was happening here, Wesker opened fire without hesitation.

"Jonathan!" Rebecca shouted upon seeing the wound on his shoulder, but immediately after, Jonathan continued firing without stopping.

"Quick, fall back with him, Rebecca!"

After hearing Enrico's words, everyone knew that the traitor was Wesker, as he was the only one with the authority to prepare the S.T.A.R.S teams and was the one who sent the Bravo team first with inexperienced members.

Everything made sense; the Bravo team was the weakest in terms of combat power, so except for Rebecca and the captain, everyone else was dead. As for the Alpha team, all but one were alive.

After Jonathan started shooting, Jill also began, and after falling back, they saw a Hunter running towards them.

In the face of the sudden monster, Jonathan continued shooting with no trace of fear in his gaze.

Through the heavy tunnel, he could see wooden crates with ammunition and grenades.

Seeing this, Jonathan knew that the final event was very close.

That was also a warning in the original story because when the collectible materials suddenly increase, it means there will soon be a fierce battle.

And as expected, after opening a door, it was no longer a tunnel.

On the opposite side covered with straw mats, there were spiderwebs everywhere.

And in an instant, a gigantic mutant spider screamed strangely upon seeing a group of strangers entering, so it enthusiastically descended from the opposite upper part.

Looking at the spider in front of him, Jonathan gritted his teeth, knowing that he was injured and now had to face a horrible monster.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

After the group started shooting, the spider let out a strange growl, then sprayed venom over the group almost immediately.

In addition to this, from time to time, smaller spiders on the wall appeared out of nowhere.

This time, Rebecca and Jill had to protect Jonathan, who was injured, and come up with a plan so that Enrico would not be harmed.

"Jill, give me time, I'll open the door next to us!"

Jonathan was confident that Jill and Rebecca could handle that spider, so after advancing, he picked up Enrico and slowly moved to the other end of the room.

"Can you shoot?" Jonathan asked as he looked at Enrico, who seemed to be in very bad shape.

"Of course, give me a weapon," said Enrico, who had used up all his ammunition, so he would support Jonathan while he looked for an escape for the rest.
