WELCOME TO A NEW WEEK AND DONT FORGET TO INTERACT WITH THE CHAPTER!

Since they had gotten a date for their flight, Adriana and her father hadn't stepped out into the public eye.

They kept mute and stayed hidden, as they thought it would be bad to have people's eyes on them.

Their flight date finally arrived, meaning Adriana and Dave could leave the country very soon.

As expected, their flight date only got closer and closer, and Adriana decided to start packing the last few days before they boarded the plane.

The night before, Adriana was packing the last few things when her father walked in.

"Adriana!!", Dave called.

"I'm inside the room dad!",she replied.

The door opened soon after, and Dave walked in, leaving the door to her room open.

"I just found out that some properties weren't only in Paula's name!", He said in hushed tones.

"First off dad, we are the only one's here, and second, what we were able to get our hands on is just enough!", Adriana said, really feeling like they had just enough!

"What do you mean just enough. Most of the other properties are in Trisha's name, especially the tiled mansion. I thiught it was all in Paula's name!", Dave said.

"What really?! But, how couldnt you have known?!", Adriana asked, triggered by her hate for Trisha.

"Well, as you said we got just enough, pack your things so we can leave on time. That friend of Paula's, the lawyer, she's got scary connections and she can find us easily!". Dave said, helping Adriana to get her briefcases to the living room.

That way it would be easily accessible the next morning.

Trisha's POV.

Like Elle suggested, we got ready to have dinner over at Elle's place.

When Elle and I went downstairs to wait for my mother, I automatically knew she was very affected by what happened.

Normally, she would not waste an opportunity to wear her very many clothes, instead, that was the excuse she got to wear them.

When I heard her descending the stairs with no makeup, a simple gown and simple slippers, I felt really really bad.

Elle must have noticed it too, because, she gasped, only to my hearing before she looked at me.

"Alright, since we're all ready, let's get going!", Elle said, immediately walking up to mom and talking about funny subjects to lighten her mood.

We got to Elle's, her parents waiting at the door step, expectant of our arrival. My mom and Elle's mom were best friends, just like me and Elle, and so when we got to their place, Elle's mom took it as her personal duty to cheer mum up.

When we had dinner, it was lively because, mom was willing to move past fresh bruises and enjoy the nice meal the Crawford had whipped up for us.

It was a Sunday, meaning j hadn't been to work for three days. I wondered how I was going to call in sick again.

I hope my boss understood, I mean, my business, was all over the news, rumors and facts mixed together. Since it was late, I decided to call my boss the next day, nobody would answer her work phone anyways.

We spent the night at Elle's, her father, leaving the room for the ladies after he consoled mom in his own way.

We just spent the night talking and laughing before we chose our rooms and retired for the night.

PAULA'S POV.

So maybe going over to the Crawford's was a good idea, like always, Giselle and her husband were hospitable. They never made me feel like I had just lost my entire world.

When we retired for the night, Giselle showed me to my room, and it was the perfect opportunity to ask her to drive me there.

I didn't want to impose on the girls, I really didn't, they'd been with me for the past few days. It was only fair they returned to their lives.

"Come on in Paula!", Giselle urged as she opened the door to my room.

"I have arranged for everything. The scrub you like, all the clothes I don't have the figure for, and every other thing. Oh no, I didn't stock the head scarfs!", Giselle went on, a smile on my face as I watched her.

"It's alright Giselle, it's all okay. Even if I need anything, I'll come to you, alright!?", I said, holding Gisele's hand.

"Come let's sit!", I said, guiding her towards the bed.

"I'm really grateful that you took us in when we didn't have any option!", I said, pausing as I really didn't want to tear up.

"It's okay Paula, I really don't mind. I really don't!", Giselle said.

"I will have to inconvenience you on Thursday though, Martin, his death anniversary, and I need someone to drive me!", I said, hoping she would assign one of her drivers to me.

I should have expected she would insist in driving me, silly Giselle, she was too sympathetic.

"I'll drive you Paula, I'm free and then maybe after that we can go watch a movie or something!",

I agreed, embracing her for what seemed like minutes. She didn't say anything, even when I broke down, she still continued to pat my back.

She tucked me in, waiting till I slept off.

GISELLE'S POV.

My dear friend!

Poor Paula, she was always vibrant, alwyas cheerful. This divorce took quite a toll on her and Trisha too!

She deserves all the love she can get, and I really don't mind hosting her.

My best friend, I feel so bad for her
