Luckily, or unluckily, because of me making the situation awkward, Penn didn't try to test out Heatblast's abilities, so the forest isn't being set ablaze. Though, just as a precaution, I did start making ice wherever I walked, as she walked behind me, to not run the risk of her feet starting a fire.
"S-So... um... do you really think I'm hot? L-like this I mean!!" And hello the consequences of my actions. I could feel my ice spread a bit more as my emotions went haywire. Turns out my abilities are linked to my emotions, if my emotions aren't stable, neither are my abilities when I try to be precise.
I'll just try and avoid the question for now, 'cause I still don't know how to feel about this situation, hopefully the rest of her aliens aren't like this too, or fighting Zs'Skayr is going to be even freakier.
"Well... Yeah, you are literally made out of fire, and I'm more used to the cold, so of course I would think that." Even if her flames are only slightly warmer than an average person, with her being literally made of the fire, she shouldn't realize that I'm technically lying.
Hm? Her steps slowed down a bit, and it sounds like her flames aren't as excited right now. Looking back at her the first thing I noticed was her pouting face, and it looks so cute- Wait.... THE FUCK?! AM I SOMEHOW ACTUALLY RELATED TO MAX?!?! WHY DO I FIND HER CUTE RIGHT NOW!?!
My ice began to climb up the trees that we passed, while my face became as red as some of the rocks that currently made up Penn's body. I quickly looked away from her, and started to move faster to the Rust Bucket, the faster we got there, the faster I could grab my bag, get my headphones, and calm myself down with some music before I cause an early winter in this summer.
Penn noticing my fastened pace, and the larger amount of ice under her was surprised, and happy. You see, whenever I found out something new to do with my ice, or something that affected it, I would quickly share it with one of the girls, in most cases Penn, so she knew exactly what the wider spread of the ice meant. It doesn't matter how good of a poker face I have, my ice will always give me away the second I start making it.
Luckily, before she could say anything, I began to see the RV, and the small campfire that Max started earlier, past the trees. We were getting close to it, soon this embarrassing event can be forgotten, and I can get to fighting that giant robot that's most likely already on its way down to Earth on Vilgax's orders.
Wait, why does it look like they're running in our direction now? Because of me, Penn didn't start a forest-..... Oh! Shit, right, I forgot the watch is still active, so she's still on fire.
Running towards I saw Gwen, and Grandpa Max holding fire extinguishers in their hands, while Lucy held a massive water gun, that she most likely packed to prank someone, all pointed towards us. Now that I think about it, could I make a fuck ton of snow to snuff out fires? I'll have to try that at some point.
"NICO! THERE'S A FIRE BEHIND YOU!" Oh, fuck, right, focus Nico, think about snow tsunami's later!
"MORE LIKE A MONSTER GRANDPA!" Gwen, I know you and Penn don't get along well, but don't- ah, right, Pyronite Penn is here, not regular Penn.
I could feel Penn's flames flare up a bit behind me. I guess she didn't like the monster comment. "Everyone chill! It's just Penn!" I yelled at them while placing myself between them and Penn.
Her flames flared up more behind me, I guess she liked me calming them down, or something? Either way, I looked back at her and gave her a warm smile, she may be a tomboy, but she's not exactly the same as Ben, so she could be scared right now for all I know.
"Wait... WHAT I THOUGHT PENN WAS HUMAN?!" Yeah, Lucy, that's not what's going on, it's not like she suddenly found out she's half Pyronite or something.
"Lucy, she is! But this weird watch thing came down in a metal pod, and then it latched onto her arm. When she tried to take it off she turned in to this." I said as I pointed towards the flaming girl behind me. I expected her to do the explaining, but she might actually be too scared to do it, I think.
"Y-yeah! He's telling t-the truth!" Ah, there we go, she finally managed to speak again! I was scared that this entire event might have traumatized her, wouldn't want that to happen before the story really begins!
"What, how is that the dweeb!" Really, Gwen? You could accept that Lucy and I are both aliens, but you can't accept a possible piece of alien tech changing someone's appearance? Actually, now that I think about it, that does sound pretty odd.
Soon after Gwen's comment, the Omnitrix started to beep, and flash red, then after a bright red light, Penn was standing where her Pyronite form once was. I guess the watch decided to time out earlier than it did in the show, maybe because we aren't in a really stressful situation, or something?
"See, Gwen, I told you- Penn, why are you blushing?" No, seriously, why is she blushing and staring at me right now?

At the moment we were all sitting at around the campfire, Penn had finally calmed down her blushing, and I managed to calm down my emotions. Turns out I can make snow, and I'm currently sitting on a fuck ton of it to hopefully calm down MY emotions.
"So, this watch, just jumped up and clamped on your wrist?" Can you really not trust either of us? We both already told you that Max!
"This time it wasn't my fault, I swear! Nico can even vouch for me!" She said while catching the marshmallow that grown just threw at her.
"I can, and yeah, she's telling the truth, also if she didn't reach for that watch I might have. So, either way it would've been stuck on one of us." I wouldn't really even think of reaching for it, just touching that thing for a bit turned Kevin into a mutant, imagine what would've happened if I actually wore that thing?! There would be no going back after that!
"I believe you too." Oh, now you do?! Dude, if it weren't for my existence you wouldn't have even mentioned the plumbers to them until everyone's lives were in danger?!
"Well, in my opinion, I'm kind of sad that she didn't stay living briquette monster." Screw that, Gwen, I'm glad she won't figure out the Master Controls for a while, I don't think I could handle the mixed emotions more than I'm already gonna have to this summer every time she turns into Heatblast!
"She wasn't a monster, she was an alien." Everyone, except me, looked at him with a look of confusion/curiosity. Only reason I wasn't, was because I was remembering how Penn looked as Heatblast.
"I-I mean, well, what else could she have been?" Smooth Max, smooth. You pick up alien girls with those skills?
Penn started to try to pull the Omnitrix off, I'm surprised she waited this long to do that. But, as you guessed it, the watch didn't budge a single millimeter.
"Still can't get this thing off!" Wait, it should be around now actually that the robot comes down! Ah, fuck, I should have grabbed the pod, any metal that could easily enter Earth's atmosphere without any damage is worth getting, and using.
"Better not fool with it anymore until we know exactly what we're dealing with. I'll go check out that crash site. You four stay here until I get back." Most likely in space right now, the robot has just been launched off.
While Max went off to check out the most likely destroyed pod, Penn went towards the back of the Rust Bucket, probably mess with the Omnitrix, against Max's instructions.
"Hmm. I wonder what this does?" Yup, she may be extremely different from Ben, but the two do tend to think similarly.
"Whatcha doin?" I said popping up to her right. What you really think I'm going to let that watch out of my sight? I still need to touch it to get the DNA of two aliens.
"N-Nico! Crap, don't scare me like that, man!" Hm? That's odd, do people normally blush when they're scared? Oh, wait, I must be too close into her personal bubble!
"Didn't Max say not to mess with the watch?" Gwen wasn't the one who came over here, so I might as well say the line.
"Yeah? But, I need to know more about this thing. We literally know nothing about it." Another difference between her and Ben, she actually does have genuine reasons for what she does, and not just, 'well it's my watch, so I get to do what I want with it!'.
"*Sigh* I mean, fair, but if you're going to do that, at least let me help." Even if it wasn't the Omnitrix, I'd still want her to ask for help, after all I want to be useful.
"O-Oh… okay, sure then." She moved the watch towards me, I was about to touch, when a certain red-head, and blonde girl decided to interrupt before I could absorb some DNA.
"Hey! Grandpa said not to mess with that thing, and Nico, don't help her!" Gwen, I am usually really calm around you, but not the time woman! I'm trying to widen my arsenal a bit!
"Gwen, Max is just going to do the same thing I'm going to do. Whether he does it, or I do it, it doesn't matter. What does matter is figuring out if this watch is somehow dangerous to Penn, or not!" It's not like Max will even be able to properly figure out what it is in the first place. After all, he still thinks that the 'Mythical Omnitrix' is just an old wives tale.
The three of them were shocked at my words, most times I would agree with one of them on a subject, or give a thorough reason for my actions, and this was the first time I was completely against one of them. But, because I knew the robot was coming, the first sign of Vilgax starting his attack, I was in a bit of a rush, I need to get stronger, and fast.
I gently grabbed Penn's arm, just because I was in a rush, doesn't mean I'll hurt someone I care about just to get things moving faster. Moving my other hand to the Omnitrix, I focused on taking just the Kineceleran (XLR8 Species) and Galvanic Mechamorph (Upgrade 'Species') DNA.
The second my hand touched the dial of the watch it felt like I was making direct contact with an ocean's worth of energy, which makes sense, considering how much DNA is stored in the Omnitrix. But, what I needed was essentially two cups out of the enitre ocean of energy, so I searched through it, looking for what I needed, and ignored the rest of the energy.
It was long before I found what I needed, but I began to feel like I was being pushed away, it looks like the security measures in the Omnitrix have already kicked in, fuck. I quickly 'grabbed hold' of the DNA that I wanted, and the next second the watch erupted in a burst of energy that threw me into a tree, away from the others.
"FUCK!" I yelled out as I made impact with the thick tree, I think something broke. I couldn't even see the girls reactions, because I soon fell to the ground, my face making impact with the dirt. Though, I did manage to get the DNA that I wanted, I could feel it deep inside of me.
"NICO?!?" X3. I heard the three of them yell, which was proceeded by the sound of quick footsteps coming towards me. Honestly, I hoped the blast wouldn't be that strong from the watch, though, no pain no gain, but damn that still hurt a fuck ton.
They got to me, and tried to help me up, but I began to feel something warm go down the back of my head. Even though I was now out of the dirt, my vision was funny, and everything started to turn dark. I think I hit my head when I made contact with the tree earlier. Then everything went black, I don't know what happened after that, but hopefully nothing too bad happened.
