The Fall

Its the year 2023, after suffering from 3 years of the pandemic, I, Agent DJ, a scientist for the government have contributed to developping a defenitive vaccine for the virus. I was a young man less than 30 years old, gradute with a degree in microbiology, i dedicated most of time lately for research and testing formulas to help create a stronger vaccine against the virus with my fellow scientists.

To tell you the truth i loved my job, i loved the fact that me and my co-workers are trying to help humanity, but one man among us that i respected a lot around that time, whenever he enters, tall and straight posture always wearing black suits, a man around my age with a smile that never left his face. Mr.Tahan, the Health Minister that is funding and directing this project to develop a vaccine for the virus, he is always cheerful and wants us to keep going forward, a man around my age in such a position and with a good sense of leadership, i can't help but respect him.

But what i never thought about is his true intentions, thinking he was just a man with a big heart trying to help save humanity from a threat, but the day that will change everything, the day that was foretold in the books, the day where the tables will be turned, the day where human enslaves human gets normalized again, where humans turn their weapons against their own kind, that day that some call judgement day, the day that i had no idea will come in my time and i wish it need not have happened in my time.

It started when we finally came up with the perfect vaccine, one that could help humanity against this virus, one could understand the joy we had when we finished this project, happy to be able to create more and distribute it to people all around the world. And so the production of the vaccine began, a short while after came the destrebution of it.

Mr.Tahan organized a small ceremony to celebrate this achievement we made and and to take shots from the vaccine we made, he insisted that we that made it shall take it last as a selfless act . It was quite nice at first, just a happy ceremony to celebrate with scientists and other workers invited. Mr.Tahan called us to gain our attention to give a speech " My fellow men that have dedicated their time to help me develop this vaccine for the sake of the human race,i would like to thank you all for your contribution, but i would like to say that i took the liberty of adding something to what you have created..." everyone else was confused and started talking to eachother concerning what he said.

"While you were developing a vaccine for the virus, i funded another project that was also my idea to help humanity even further" he did a hand gesure calling someone out, and approached from the side one of his assistants dragging another man.

"This is a normal man that took the vaccine..." he slapped him really hard on the face and kicked him to the groin, but the man did nothing but cower in fear, everyone including myself were in shock, this is the man that we respect the most? i asked myself... "Stand up" Mr.Tahan ordered the frightened man, and he indeed stood up, "turn" and turn, he did. Whatever Mr.Tahan asked this man did with no hesitation like a well trained dog, but we are still very shocked and cofused not sure what is happening and why is he showing us this.

"The Project that just mentioned consists of a set of microchips, these chips when injected inside the human body and activated will influence the mind according to a certain program and the said person behaviou and desires, and as a thank you and a reward for your hard work, you will all get a special chip similar to mine that will not have an effect on you but rather allows you to have a sort of controll over these lower microchips"

I was angry, i was furious, i clenched my fist "Where did your humanity suddenly go Mr.Tahan?" i shouted, but he replied "Oh kind sir DJ, so smart and passionate yet so Naive, doesnt it look obvious?" still angry and confused, not sure what is he trying to mean.

"If you can't attain power enough to become at the top of the world, make the entire world weaker than you, the vaccine has already been distributed worldwide so there is no going back a step or two, only steps forward"

With a finger clap from his hand, more of his assistants showed up with carts that have shots of said vaccine, handing them over to us and asking us to take the shots, and the bastard told us "Now its up for you to decide, take the shot and maintain a high position in the future, otherwise you will put yourselves in a critical position that you have no chances of recovering from"

I had no choice that moment, i let my instinct to survive and remain to take actions, so i took the vaccine with that microchip and so did everyone else, Mr.Tahan took out a control device "Wisely done everyone, and wisely done Mr.DJ, with a press of a button, the earth shall be in my control, id say quite the nasty work you all contributed to im really impressed"

They didn't lie when they said that the devil will be the most beautiful being you'll ever see, one we loved and admired the most in our workplace has rejected their humanity for their lust for power and i wasn't able to do anything but watch as humanity falls.
