A Night of Progress

Three years had passed since I began my intense training at Arkham, and now, at 13, I was a force to be reckoned with. My family was astonished by my progress, and my brother, Greg, couldn't help but feel a little insecure about my physique. However, we were still brothers, and sibling rivalry was inevitable. Today, though, he learned not to underestimate me as he felt the power of my training.

"Hey, not bad for the baby of the family," I said with a smirk, wiping off the frost from my body as Greg chuckled.

"Alright, you got me there. But remember, I've got some tricks up my sleeve too," he replied, brushing off the ice shards from his hands.

Before things escalated further, my mother intervened, putting an end to our friendly spar. "Boys, enough for today. You both have your unique strengths, and I'm proud of both of you," she said, giving us each a warm smile.

I was immensely proud of my sister, Cassandra, too. She had surprised the whole family by enlisting in the Army, a decision she made on her own. Her determination had even impressed my strong-willed mother, who initially had quite the dramatic reaction to the news.

As for my training, it had been grueling, but with Alfred's guidance and my dedication, I had surpassed everyone's expectations. My body was in peak condition, and my mind had become a reservoir of knowledge. I had become stronger, faster, and more agile, thanks to the pliability Alfred emphasized. His secret training plan had been working wonders, and even my tutors were impressed with my progress.

"So, how are things going with your tutors, Duke?" my father asked during dinner, genuinely interested in my development.

"They are pleased with my progress, Dad. I've been able to keep up with their training, and Alfred's optimization has made it even more effective," I replied, glancing at Alfred, who gave a modest nod.

"It's a team effort, Master Duke. Your hard work and dedication are the real factors behind your growth," Alfred said humbly.

The family conversation continued, and I felt a sense of pride and fulfillment as they discussed my journey. They were excited about my prospects, and I couldn't help but be grateful for their support.

Later that night, we had a late-night talk, reminiscing about old times and discussing my future. Tomorrow, I would head back to Arkham to continue my training, and they would return to their respective routines. But tonight, we celebrated the bond that strengthened with each passing day.

As I lay in bed, I knew that I had a long way to go before becoming the Dark Knight, but with my family behind me and Alfred by my side, I was ready to face any challenge that came my way. I drifted off to sleep, content with the progress made and the journey ahead.
