" Freebie, meet our friend Alac." Alia said and faced it in his direction, the cat meowed in response and turned back to her.

" Hi Freebie, nice to meet you too." Alac responded, pretending to understand what it said. He wasn't a lover of any animal especially cat. He referred to them as toys. To him, humans were the only real pets.

" Awnnn I never knew you would show up today." She said and picked it up, placing kisses on its cheek while it rubbed body against her face. She felt so happy to see her baby again after the long separation. Malburt had walked in on her crying two days before the party and had caught her wiping her tears off with the back of her palm.

" Are you crying?." He had asked and swing the chair to see her face. He noticed it was red and a bit swollen.

" No, I'm not. It's just that something got into my eyes and I was trying to get it out." She lied, sniffing back the threatening catarrh, her voice shaking.
