UNANNOUNCED VISIT

"Are you going down stairs with your robe on?" Abigail asked as she walked out of the closet, now she was putting on a big plain white top and a loose joggers. She had her hair tied up in a bun but a few strands fell off time to time.

"Yes" Xavier answered as he got up and walked towards her, he placed his hands around her waist and pulled her closer to himself.

"Why do you get to walk half naked and I have to change?" Abigail asked, complaining as she placed her hands on his chest and tried to free herself from his grip but Xavier's hands were firm.

"You ask too much questions" Xavier said as his hands went behind her head and he skillfully loosed the knot that held her hair up, her hair dropped down to her waist as Xavier used his hands to comb them.

"This is better" Xavier said as he looked at her eyes for a while and then she made another funny face. 

"What are you looking at?" Abigail asked but Xavier didn't say anything as he pulled her even closer again, he was about to kiss her when he heard the sound of her tummy growling. 

"Shit" Abigail cursed under her breath, she was really looking forward to that and now her hunger had to ruin everything.

"Come on let's go eat" Xavier said as he held her hand and they both walked out of the room. 

"If you don't use the elevator then why do you have it?" Abigail asked as she looked behind, the only time she had used the elevators was when her leg was injured, ever since then no one else had used it. 

"I use it occasionally, do I have to use it everyday? Who knows I might have used it the day before yesterday while you were sleeping" Xavier said as they began climbing the stairs. 

"That's not true" Abigail said as she carefully placed her legs on the stairs. "You just don't want to loose to an argument, and who told you I was sleeping, I did sleep though but I was half asleep okay, I'm not a deep sleeper..." Abigail stopped with her ranting when she saw that she was the only one walking on the stairs. "Hey!!? Abigail said almost yelling as she looked behind to see Xavier standing a few stairs away from her. 

Xavier had his eyes on the living room as he looked at his visitors, his fist clenched and as his eyes dimmed, he didn't want to move at first as he stood there and watched them but Abigail's loud voice had already caught the attention of the guests. 

"Your parents are here?" Abigail asked as she looked towards them but they were already looking at her, Abigail smiled shyly as she moved backwards to hold Xavier's hand, she didn't know if she was scared but she didn't want to walk there by herself. 

"Xavier" Elder Quinn called out as he got up, he had a smile on his lips as he head for the stairs, his eyes were fixed on Abigail as he had never seen her in person before.

"Big bro" Sophie called out as she waved her hands to them. 

Xavier sighed as he walked down the stairs, he didn't try to hide his disapproval, it was clearly showing on his face that he didn't like this unannounced visit.

"Oh..this must be Abigail" Elder Quinn said as he stretched his hand out for a hand shake, Abigail first looked at Xavier to get his approval but the man had his eyes on someone else in the room.

"Don't be shy dear, after all I am your father in law right?" Elder Quinn said as they both shook hands. "I knew if I told Xavier to come visit then he was going to give excuses so I thought a little surprise won't harm him" Elder Quinn said as he galnced at his son before returning his attention back to Abigail.

" Come lets go eat, we have all been waiting for the both of you to come downstairs so we can all eat as a family" Elder Quinn said 

Hearing the word family from that man's mouth enraged Xavier more and a scoff escaped his lips. He didn't see the need to hide his emotions or feelings towards them, it was clear now that Xavier didn't like any of them, Sophie being an exception. 

"Big bro" Sophie called out again when they got down the stairs, she quickly rushed to him and hugged him tight with a smile before she turned her attention back to the girl of the hour. " You must be Abigail right?" Sophie asked as she hugged Abigail tight. "You are my sister in law now, oh this is going to be fun" Sophie said, now Elder Quinn had gone to the kitchen to tell Vivian to bring out breakfast.

"Mum isn't she very pretty in person" Sophie said as she turned to her mother but the woman only smiled and gave a nod. 

Xavier took note of this, he was just waiting for her to rush and touch Abigail then he would release but it's like she already knew that was his plan, it's like she's getting smarter by the day, good for her.

"Breakfast is ready" Alfred announced and was about to turn back and return to the kitchen when Xavier called.

"Alfred?" His voice was cold as ice as his eyes were fixed on the old man, Alfred should have come to inform him about the arrival but he didn't and Xavier didn't like that. 

"Yes master Quinn" Alfred answered as he walked to him, he knew what was coming for him, he knew his faith but like he had earlier told Vivian, his job was to serve the Quinn family and that was what he did.
