Chapter 9

The car parked in front of the mansion, Abigail's eyes were still filled with tears as she looked out the window, still lost in her thoughts. She didn't realize that they had now arrived at the mansion until Xavier walked to her and gently tap on the windows.

Abigail Looked at him from where he stood outside, he had a neutral expression on as the wind carried his hair all over the place. She remembered the words Xavier told her, that she should own up to what she did, No, Abigail had tried owning up to it for the past few years, that had been of no help to her.

Crying on the other hand had somehow help her to release some of the emotions inside, at least now she could breathe without crying.

"Stop it Abigail" Xavier warned again as he opened the doors, he could see that she wasn't ready to come out yet and so he helped her down and when Abigail felt her feet touch the floor, she waved but Xavier was quick to catch her.

He carried her inside the mansion princess style, Abigail clung to his neck as she looked away from him, she didn't dare to look him in the eyes, she just focussed her eyes on the door of the mansion as they both walked in.

Styles had noticed everything, he was surprised with the whole situation, of course he wasn't suprised that there was a new lady in the mansion but what surprised him was the treatment she was receiving. He had Never seen his master act so kind to anyone before, the fact that he had helped her down from the car and also carried her inside the mansion. He was beginning to doubt if this indeed was the same man he had dropped off at the event this evening. He thought wether or not he should report this to elder Quinn, well the year was ending and if he was hoping to get some holiday bonus then he should share the good news.

With a huge smile on his face, he brought out his call phone and made a quick call.

 .....

"She's pretty" Sophy couldn't help but comment as she watched her brother standing next to a lady with dark brown hair. She knew the lady had to be his wife since he had just made the announcement.

The whole thing looked funny to Sophy in a way, few days ago her brother came to visit and her dad had said that there will be a marriage between Xavier and Isabelle but now Xavier was announcing his marriage with someone else.

Sophy didn't want to be the one to start the chaos, she knew the kind of man her father was, he didn't like his words being disobeyed. She watched him closely to see if he was angry about this news but the man just continued to stare at the TV with no expression on his face.

It would have been better if he was angry, or happy, not that he could ever be happy but still, anything beats a neutral face. Now she couldn't possibly tell what the old man was thinking as he watched his son announcing his marriage to another woman he had not chosen.

"Dad, wouldn't it be nice if we all travel to visit Xavier, it would be a chance to see the new bride" Sophy suggested carefully, she knew any small mistake from her side was enough to set the house burning so she had to play her cards right.

"she's on the Tv screen, haven't you seen her enough?" Elder Quinn asked without sparing a glance at her, he got up from the chair as he moved to the table and poured himself a glass. Just in, a call came in that had him stop his movements, he looked at the caller ID for a few seconds with disinterest before he finally picked up the call.

Sophy tried to eavesdrop on the conversation but she knew her dad too well, he wasn't the type to put the call on speaker, he would always keep it private.

Her eyes darted back to the television as she stared at the girl 'Abigail Williams' the name sounded off in a way, Abigail was pretty no doubt, she had blue eyes and long brown hair, she had a pale white skin and perfect facial features.

Sophy remembered the time she had gone shopping with Isabelle, Xavier had showed up that day to buy a dress for a lady, she wondered if this was the lady, well it had to be her since Xavier wasn't the type to fool around with women.

"Sophy?" Elder Quinn called after he ended the call, he now had a new look on his face.

"Yes father" Sophy answered and turned to face him.

"Inform your mother that we have a trip to attend tomorrow, 7am sharp" Elder Quinn ordered and he saw a smile slowly form on Sophy's face before she quickly rushed out to inform her mother.

Now he had his attention back on the TV screen as he stared at the girl, yes she looked exactly as the driver described.

"Abigail " He called her name softly as he watched them climb down the stairs to return to their seats, he reached his hand out and picked the TV remote, without waiting any second longer, he turned off the TV.

.......

Abigail stood in front of her room door with her hands stretched out, she had been standing there for a few minutes now. Xavier was still downstairs eating but she couldn't bring herself to eat and so she left saying she was feeling sleepy. Now she was standing in fromt of the door with her hands stretched out, she couldn't go inside, she couldn't open the door.

It felt like she was stuck in that position again, memories came flooding her mind like she was reliving the same day again. But only this time it's like ten times as much as it did the last time. The last time she only could guess and wonder if they had a child but now she knew that they had a son, someone she had really come to like these past few days.

"Can't move anymore?" A voice asked from the other side of the hall.

Abigail wanted to turn to look but she already knew who it was, what was the point of her checking she didn't even have the strength if she wanted to.
