Mission (Part 6)

As if to prove its existence, the Little Cosmicub appeared on Riley's head and let out a chirp.

The old lady looked momentarily distracted by the sudden appearance of the Little Cosmicub and lost in thought about something.

After a moment of silence, she picked up a photo from the bedside and handed it over to Riley.

Taking it, Riley saw a girl wearing a floral dress, smiling with dimples visible on both cheeks.

The blue lantern-shaped spirit beast she held in her arms was none other than a Pokai.

The old lady only handed over the photo without saying a word.

Riley felt it necessary to ease the atmosphere and spoke up, "The girl in this photo looks really beautiful, do you know her?"

Normally, a photo handed over at a time like this would be of the person involved.

Although the girl in the photo smiled so sweetly, she didn't resemble the old lady in front of him at all.
