Fire Dog (Part 2)

Spirit Beasts came in various forms, each with its own mysterious abilities. Beast-like Spirit Beasts were easier to be spoted, but fairy-like and Spirit-like Spirit Beast could easily hide from people sight.

Hence, the League established the Supervisory Department to deal with such matters.

From the Enchantia Spirit Beast Breeding Base to his home, it was convenient to make a detour to the Enchantia Beast Tamer Center.

Just at a corner before reaching the Beast Tamer Center, his mother rode off on her Furhound back, and saying she had something to attend to, and left behind a Dovestruk for him to use.

Riley arrived at the Enchantia Beast Tamer Center at 11:32 AM, with only 28 minutes left before closing time.

Unlike brain domain registration, which had only one counter, there were 16 counters for information registration at the Beast Tamer Center.

Riley took a number and found a place to sit.

Dovestruk stood quietly beside him, and the Fire Dog was cradled in his arms, its eyes darting around, clearly curious about its surroundings.

"Number 06556, please go to counter 12."

"Number 06556, please go to counter 12."

Riley glanced at his number, 06557, then checked the time: 11:52 AM.

It seemed that Riley wouldn't be attended to this morning.

"Number 06557, please go to counter 12."

They skipped number 06556 and called Riley's number directly.

Riley stood up with the Fire Dog in his arms; today seemed to be his lucky day.

At counter 12, he was greeted by a young man with a crew cut.

"Hello, may I help you?" he asked.

Riley took out his information card from his pocket and handed it over, saying, "I'm here to register my Spirit Beast."

The young man took the information card and placed it on the scanner. After examining it for a moment, he said, "Hello, according to our records, you're not a Beast Tamer yet, so we can't register your Spirit Beast."

Riley was momentarily stunned and replied, "Then let's register me as a Beast Tamer first."

The young man requested, "Please provide your Brain Domain Certification."

Riley, unfamiliar with the process of registering as a Beast Tamer, didn't know he needed Brain Domain Certification.

"I don't have it with me," Riley said, feeling helpless.

He then raised the Fire Dog in his hands. "Can't this prove that I'm a Beast Tamer?"

The young man glanced at the computer's clock, which read 11:58 AM, and replied, "No."

"Why not?" Riley was puzzled.

"Hey, are you done yet? If you don't have everything you need, step aside," an impatient voice came from behind.

Riley turned around to see a girl in a uniform from the Hearthome Beast Tamer High School standing behind him.

The girl had narrow, slanted eyes that could make people feel uncomfortable when looked at from above.

Seeing that Riley didn't respond, she passed directly over him and handed her number paper over. "I'm number 06556, ahead of him. Please process mine first; I need to change my Spirit Beast's information."

Riley frowned but choose to stood up and give away his seat. Although the girl's attitude was unpleasant, he was indeed have an incomplete information.
