Fire Dog (Part 1)

Soon, the Fire Dog vanished under the starry radiance.

Within Riley's brain domain, the blank page of the Beast Tamer Codex suddenly illuminated, displaying a vivid Fire Dog.

Simultaneously, on the blank page of the Beast Tamer Codex:

These few lines of clear text appeared before Riley.

Riley was dumbfounded. Did the Beast Tamer Codex even mention these things? He didn't think so. He remembered the Codex only having two functions: making contracts and serving as a space for Spirit Beasts. There was no mention of anything resembling a system.

However, Riley wasn't entirely sure with his own memory, given that the original owner of this body was academically scumbag, with so many knowledge gaps.

But... perhaps, just maybe, this was his golden finger!

He would have to verify everything once he left this place.

Riley suppressed his excitement and made the summoning seal.

The next moment, a white star formation appeared on the ground, and the surrounding starlight converged to reveal an excited Fire Dog.

"Bark!"

The Fire Dog barked towards Riley.

Due to the contract, Riley easily understood his Spirit Beast's intention. It wanted to try entering the Beast Tamer Codex again.

Riley indulgently smiled and used the seal to recall the Fire Dog.

As soon as it went in, the Fire Dog started calling to come out from the Beast Tamer Codex.

Riley couldn't resist and let it out again. The Fire Dog happily wagged its red tail.

"Bark!"

Riley chuckled and returned it to the Codex.

The next moment, he released it again.

The Fire Dog blinked its black eyes.

"Bark!"

Riley's smile froze for a moment, and he paused, but eventually, he put it back into the Beast Tamer Codex.

When the Fire Dog came out again, it looked at Riley with eager eyes.

"Bark!"

It wanted to play more!

Riley: "..."

When Yelena returned, she found her son with a bewildered expression, repeatedly making the summoning seal, sometimes recalling the Fire Dog, and then releasing it again.

Yelena asked in confusion, "Little Riley, what are you doing?"

Riley replied expressionlessly, "I'm playing."

After leaving the Enchantia Spirit Beast Breeding Base, Riley didn't head straight home. Instead, he went to the Beast Tamer Center.

According to the League regulations, all of the Spirit Beasts contracted by Beast Tamers had to be registered at the Beast Tamer Center within seven working days.

In this era, you couldn't just contract a Spirit Beast and just take it directly to home. First, you had to register it; otherwise, it would be considered an unregistered Spirit Beast.

Human residential cities prohibited the entry of wild Spirit Beasts. If a wild Spirit Beast was discovered without proper registration, it would be treated as a threat to humans and taken away by the Supervisory Department.

Wild Spirit Beasts attacking humans was not uncommon. Every so often, the news would report incidents of humans being attacked by these Spirit Beasts.

To ensure human safety, especially for those whose brain domains hadn't awakened, the League strictly prohibited the presence of unregistered Spirit Beasts in cities.
