- Prehistoric Chicken?

I start bringing myself out of the groggy state the evo left me in, and see the sassy screen in front of me.
"Prehistoric chicken?"
[That is the nickname of the Velociraptor. The creature you were thinking was the Velociraptor was actually a Deinonychus. The Velociraptor is very small and covered in feathers]
"You're lying to me. Where's the nearest mirror?"
[I do not recommend going to any human towns or cities. At least not now]
"Why not? What's the worst that could happen?"

A blip appeared on the map that was thirteen kilometers away from me. I immediately start running, noticing I'm even faster than I was before.
"Hey, system, whats my top speed now?"
[You can move at approximately 100 mph or around 160 kmh]
"So I'm the fastest land animal ever?"
[No. The beast kings before you were very much so faster than you]
"Well whatever. I'm the fastest alive now!"
[For land animals that are not avian yes]
"I'll take it!"
I keep running for a good five minutes and see a small town. It was then that I realized that instead of getting bigger, I actually got smaller! This freaks me out a little bit as I'm afraid I may be lower on the food chain than I was before!
I look around for any people that would be able to see me, and bolt towards the mirror the second I can't see anyone. I come up to a dumpster behind some kind of store and see a broken mirror laying up against it. I look at myself and am shocked when I see what looks like… A prehistoric chicken!
"YOU WEREN'T LYING!!! I'M JUST AN OVERGROWN CHICKEN WITH HANDS! OR AT LEAST CLAWS!"
[Exactly. This is why you always ask to see the details of extinct beasts, as they may not be what you think they are. The Deinonychus was one of the choices you would've had]
"... I think I learned my lesson… Can I re-evolve?"

I look at the ground in a dejected manner, feeling the stupidity I had when evolving. Damn you Hollywood for making me think Velociraptors were awesome...

I immediately take off, trying to get back to the woods, however the second I come out from behind the dumpster I see a woman standing in front of me.
"AHHHHH!"
She screams and drops the trash she was carrying, and runs off toward the door at the back of the shop. As I look at the door, I notice a camera pointed straight at me.
"You gotta be kidding me."
I start running off towards the forest ignoring the shocked gasps and screams around me. I eventually run off into the forest and keep running until I get back to my den.
"System, why didn't you tell me to hide!?"
[I told you that there was a human very close by. It was your fault for not checking the map]
I can feel it turning its head and puffing its cheeks.
"Fine, but from now on when you mark something on the map can you tell me?"
[That is fair]
"Well, that's gonna be a news story. I guarantee you someone recorded me with their phone."
[Then you should hurry and evolve soon]
"I agree."
"Got any quests for me?"

"Damn, that's not a lot of mod points for that amount of hunting."
[Just hunt them]
"Okay… Rude…"
I ask the system to mark the coyotes on the map for me and make my way towards them. I get to a small pack of 7 coyotes. I run in front of the biggest one and claw its eyes before it gets a chance to react. They then start freaking out, running in all different directions while the one I blinded is biting at the air around it and growling. I get behind it and jump onto its back. I then start clawing at its neck, realizing that it feels even easier than cutting paper with the sharpest pair of scissors. I guess my mutations are doing work.
I then reach towards where I guessed the jugular is and cut as deep as I can. The coyote starts freaking out and running around as it experienced a lot of pain all at once. It starts running with me still on its back, leaving a big trail of blood behind it. It gets about ten meters before collapsing. I hate seeing animals in pain, so I jab it in the brain with my claws, feeling pretty confident they could go in.
[Coyote killed and ingested]

"Alrighty, now to get the others. System, mark the next biggest one on the map."
I start running towards the blip on the map and immediately pounce on its back, forgetting that my size goes up with every level. I land on the back of this poor coyote and hear a cracking noise. I look down at the creature and see it coughing up blood. I'm now double this poor things size!
I quickly end it just like the other one, gaining another 3 levels! I spend the rest of the day hunting down the remaining pack members, the rest of these only give a small amount of energy, granting me 4 levels.

"Alright, upgrade my claws again"
I feel a tingling sensation again near the place where my claws and arms meet. This feeling quickly subsides as my claws grow longer and sharper, rivaling the sharpest swords while being more durable than them. Growing more confident from my new size and claws, I ask the system;
"Hey, do you think I'd be able to take on a mountain lion?"
[Yes, with some minor injuries if you are careful]
"Damn, how strong are these things?"
[For reference, they are at the level where they could easily kill a human]
"So I should gain a few more levels before fighting one? Alright then, mark every coyote within 5 kilometers. I'm hunting all night!"
