------2 year after meeting kali--------

I and kali keep on exploring the forest, starting from where the loge house is and heading East with the cliff on our right side.

sometimes I meet animals and beasts but most of them are not intelligent or smart enough to communicate with so we either fight the strong ones or they are weak and run away from our sight.

this also serves as Kali's training in our first couple of hunts and fights he always fights based on instinct so I start to teach him some ways to fight, either in human and hybrid form in material arts or the way to use his full lion body.

and maybe because of my past life experience as a teacher, I start to teach him more subjects aside from training, I start with the simplest, and step by step I end up teaching him some of the very complex subjects like rune magic. that thanks to Kali's smart head and quick learning ability

so as time passed we become quite close and I can say he sees me as his big brother for real.

as for me, I took meditation as a habit every night to revise all the info I had. and if I had to say 'photographic memory' is a cheat on its own.

I can remember everything since birth with every detail, and that helps a lot to retrain what I can do like magic and crafting.

today, we sense a big gathering of life signatures as we investigate around.

we head there to find a pack of wolves count of 8 under the attack of dozens of vultures, and from Kali, I know that vultures are the common enemy of all the species in the 'AF'.

the wolves have dark gray colored furr with the same color eyes but a metallic shade, 5 of them are protecting the rest after closer inspection they are females, almost in the last birth phase. I look at the vultures with disgust.

from the way they attack and how they survey the wolves I can tell for sure they are intelligent to the level of humans or at least smart enough to work together, if not higher.

thanks to the tactics they use I know that their target was the females. and from the look in ther eyes, they are not hunting for food but just for the fun of it, and they not trying to kill them but only wounded them every time they got the chance and do not finish them off, what sadistic bastard birds.

I was and still felt disgusted by the very act of attacking the weak, as I didn't like sneaky and backstabbing fights. what's more, the act of completely killing without reason, and as I used to say

~No honor in an empty win, no honor in the wronged soul, a fight is one that you face head-on to either pass throw or step back of its.

souls all have fated start and end, and we only take the ones that needed to survive or end the ones that have to end ~

that was one of the things that ease my acceptance of the body memory, he used this and the equivalent exchange as a principle to live his long life as if someone program it to do so.

and I bet it has to do with the being that send me here, from some time now I start to gain some of my body's old habits and unconcise movement.

honestly, I am not that worried as the memories dont affect my personality as I tough will do, on the contrary it reinforces some of my traits.

as I was standing there I heard a growl from my side, I look to see Kali glaring at one of the biggest vultures with a big skare on his head and probably the leader of the group (mini-boss)

I look at him in surprise as normally he never shows such anger and blood lust before 'Kali, what's wrong?'

he didn't leave the vulture from his sight but answered after calming down a little as I can still his anger 'Those are the ones that attack me last time'

I nodded while looking at the scene and 'he probably just waiting for me to give order or attack to follow' thinkin' so I was about to attack but I saw one of the defending wolves got a fatal injury in his leg leaving an opening in their defense.

thankfully I erect a mana shield around them on time, the vultures got cautious and start to fly back to higher altitudes, while the wolfs inside the shield look at us alerted and in full defense.

I sighed inwardly and look at the wolfs 'Sonia there any way to make them understand me?'

[Leo, I know that you are smarter than that, you figure that the vulture is intelligent, what are you thinking about the defending party?]

I look at the wolves and sighed 'Who is the leader?' three males flinch but two looked at the one in front as he took a step to the front 'What do you need from us, to even defend us with no reason or gain'

he asked an old man voice cautiously and although he is a wolf the way he talks give wisdom so ages he's quite old, as I nodded 'I have no malice toward you or your keen, I'm only here for the head of those bastards as they almost killed my brother last time " I signal in the vultures direction.
