2 years past since the day I meet the sea people, and today will be 7 years since I found myself here.

the day of the meeting becomes a festival day in a way, and the resident like to call it "the lake and land" festival.

our village...town, took quite the change as we now had rules, thanks to me, Kali, Loyed, and Elesabith, our ability to pass the shifting ability came in significant part.

turning the whole resident into shifters, so we forbid the beast shape inside the village except in some places and some cases, like the arena and such, but that is for later.

now all you can see are humans with a variety of animal tails and ears, and we also put a treading system with our money system.

thanks to all the new ideas and fields we have or started to pop around, all types of shops, proficient, items, and even new markets appeared.

now instead of trading goods, we put a price for everything and so the money was taking a good root inside 'AF'. we also made a Guild, yup like in the adventurers guild, for 3 reasons:

first, to organize the exploration and the things my people need, for example, we have people who learned how to smith and can do quite well, instead of mining themselves they just put in a request and wait, the same can be said for other jobs, and if they searching for something they will explore some part we didn't and map it, earning a bonus, at the same time the % of me clearing the exploration mission raised so win-win.

the second reason is 'AF' started to change, yes, a year ago, some new species started to pop around, but the difference is that they are born from negative mana, and in simple words, monsters.

and sadly they have no chance of gaining wisdom or understanding them, as scans clarify.

their only use was their high magic contained part depending on the type, that can be used (in medicine, forging, clothes...) so in this case:

"a good monster is a death monster."

and every time I ask Sophia she answers that I have NO Clarification to know until the end of the trial.

back to the change part, the lack bottom became a large city, mermaid city to be precise, and I have to say we did great work in building it, the design was created by Elisabeth.

we integrated the cave system by sealing the opening with doors from both sides, and we also drew a map for it, as to prevent any surprises in the future.

but that cave system was something else, it extends all over the inner region of 'AF' and if I had the manpower and materials, I would have used it to make a water subway train system.

sadly we need a whole other level of energy and materials, so it's on hold for now.

but I don't think we will need it, back to Lake City, or Fate Lake City as we call it, it becomes the center of transport and the reason, the mermaid uses ther natural control over the water, they travel along the underground rivers and start to open exits around the forest and mountains, I heard that they got this idea from the train talk before, it was great and time shorting transportation so it's all good.

and today I am sitting on the shore along with my family while watching a race happening on top of the lack.

on this subject, if something the residents around know how to do well, is enjoying themselves, they said picked from me, but I don't know.

from surfing, all the way to dancing and singing, and many other arts and entertainment fields bloomed around, you should have seen my face when I got to a clearing in the forest to find some of the Wolf people using giant stones as platforms to do motorbike HILL CLIMBS! and with so much proficiency level at that. Kali, by the way, became a surfing master, no joke he even won me a couple of times.

back to the event in front of me, today's festival Has 4 events, starting with the Lake surfing race.

I look around at the people who are screaming and sharing, it gives a fantasy world feel, and to think I was one of the people who created it?

I laugh and look back at the race, it's a simple game actually, as long as you do not get out of the race track and directly interface with the other racers, all allowed.

for example, if you blow the water in front of the others is no problem, and so on turning the race into an indirect fight.

that's what makes watching interesting, back to the race, we have one lap left with Kali, and Viola in the fight for first, and Rebeca in second, while the rest are not far from them.

I looked at them and sighed at the same time with Elesabith, then we started to laugh, the reason being the never-ending rivalry between them.

although Kali and Viola's relationship is over the moon, both hate losing, especially to each other, they even start to keep scores in everything they compete on.

but it's not a good thing this time "Looks like it's a tie this time too"

I smirk hearing Elisabeth "Nop!" saying so Eli was confused but I pointed at her second daughter with a small smile.

looking she sighed and said "So that's what she was disappearing to do these days."

looking at me with a mischievous smile mirroring mine "I can't wait to see their faces after."

laughing at her words and looking back at Rebica who the moment they entered the last straight part before the finish line kneeled with her hands in front like sprinting ready, then pushing the surfboard underwater.

the audience thought she had an accident but to their surprise, the moment she divided her speed accelerated to the point of leaving a booming voice behind, passing under Viola and Kali like a shadow wining the match.

and no, she wasn't cheating, it's all good as long you don't leave the track 'the water track'.

the moment she passed the finish line she slowed down and resurfaced raising her hand and screaming in joy.

the audience who was frozen for a moment, was woken up by that scream and started to sheer and congratulate her.

I nodded at her and looked at the second and third to blow in laughter as they were not Kali and Viola. because the moment Rebeca passed underneath them they were thrown out of the track by the turbent wave.

Elisabeth looked at them in the lake and started to laugh and hit me in the shoulder "HAHAHAH, good one, but to think that they didn't even notice her coming, how much they got heated in their rivalry. HAHAHAHA"
