After all, the young should couse trouble as our below 20 (AS THE NOVEL AUTHOR REMINDS US THREE TIMES PER CHAPTER) years of age Mc does borderline idiotic stuff, but heyyy, it's alright. Power creep is a thing tho. No matter as I try, my opponents are always 2-5 stars higher than me! Even when I reach the "omg so strong, rarely seen elite" there are always dozens of stronger people around every corner! Baffling, really. But it's ok! I can beat them! After all, during the time they cast their mega dao technique I can wait 15 minutes or so as peanut gallery has a half chapter long conversation how awesome my opponent is and how deadly and fast his strike is - history background included. At least, my team waifu is also included in power creep! Hurray! Although, I do wonder how the girls do it sometimes... No matter. There is always someone who jumps in the fight at the last moment! Sometimes it's me, saving people I met once like 5 years ago, or sometimes it's some new enemy to save my sworn enemies I was thiiiiis close to killing. Boy, does this happen a lot, huh. Hope you like to read about fictional plants never before mentioned anywhere before as I throw them to the pot for several chapters! It's a very interesting novel! I like it very much! I want all the novels to move from wuxiaworld to qidian, because it's much more easier to read them here!

BTTH in a nutshell: Here's a girl, there's another girl, MC nearly died here whew, here have another girl, power up, oh no girl A went back to her clan, power up, another girl please, the girl from before that disappeared returned, oh that girl almost died, filler chapters, power up again, girl hates MC but doesn't kill MC even though she wants to, another girl, more pretty girls, girls. I love this novel. A competent MC that isn't hung up on "justice", hard working, who gives back all he receives with interest. Cast of characters is decent, the setting is interesting. Other than dragging out events and the antagonists being repetitive in personality, it's a good read. Just kidding. Kill me. On a more serious note, this novel is bland. The fight scenes are half-assed and the story makes no sense. Please don't get me wrong. The world that the novel is set in is fantastic but the characters and their attitudes make it stupid. The protagonist is a plain idiot, his chick is a Mary Sue character that apparently loves him but doesn't trust him enough to tell him important things (ffs I'd enjoy this more if this novel were NTR), his side chicks are annoying (Yun Yun is stupid - perfect for him, Yanran is a dolt, Yan Fei is plain annoying Medusa is a snake - no pun intended - and wants to *spoiler* but chooses not to; and don't get me started talking about that loli and the relatives). You may find this opinion stupid but take a good and hard look at the story again. Look at the female characters. Are they good characters on their own or do they just serve the protagonist's needs, wants, and desires? Now, the badly written harem is just one issue. The second is how typically cliched it is. Compare BTTH to nearly every other novel on the Chinese web literary world and you'll find at least 20 other works that are similar. About 3 or 4 are translated and can be accessed by foreign readers. This needs no explanation. The third is how it seems to drag on and on without inserting important information within chapters. This led to me skipping chapters entirely without bothering to even go through them. "Oh Cactus but you skip chapters so how do you know whether it is important or not?" Because I've read up to chapter 600+ before putting it on hiatus and reading it from the beginning, and realising how much time I've wasted on a piece of garbage. Then I proceeded to skip chapters entirely even after 600+. Overall, I'm tempted to drop this god-awful novel but then started thinking about how much time I've invested in it. At first I love Wuxiaworld but after so many novels from Gravity Tales moved to Wuxiaworld, it make hate it and sad...........................................................

Well written, but ultimately boring read for me, the pacing of the story sedates me and I find despite my love for this novel (One of my first after CD,) I can't enjoy it especially at this point where it seems like training and school yard squabble take center stage and the parts that made my blood boil are long forgotten. too long forgotten.

This book is sooooooooooooo stupid. And still I keep reading it. The author really has mental issues and has decided a means to make sure we experience it in his work. I've read any book that tortured my brain way more than this book. I've been trying to voice my complaints on wuxia world but I can't seem to log in. This book is just..... No words. Read at your own peril

The beginning chapters was fairly decent. But after ~c281, the translation quality/writing seems to have dropped alot. Stuperfious and unnatural writing style v annoying.

Decent story, even if the main amount of character growth for the MC happened before the story takes place. While not as OP as alot of OP MC, it is still much unlimited money cheat codes with the ability to then p2w growth. Characters aren't 2d but just shy of 3d and fully fleshed out. Main downside is that every woman is "sexy". Not to mention that it seems improbable that in the first 100 chapters that every woman the MC interacts with is roughly described as being an 8+ out of 10. And when talking to these characters it is always "so in so said with her sexy mouth. So in so kicks with her sexy legs, so in so shakes her sexy body." We get it, they are attractive, but this story seems to feel that any womans main quality is how attractive they are, not that she just stabbed someone with a sword made of fire, or that she can even make a sword with fire. If you are looking for an pretty standard world that is decently fleshed out and a OP MC(cheat OP, not broken OP), with alchemy, read this. HOWEVER, if you are sick of bland MCs who are portrayed as the bestest because of their hard word. That looks very similar to greedisgood and pop all the pills, boring enemies, and a power system that describes things as rare that also fall in the MC lap, on top of horny teenager author writing style, avoid this like the plague.

One of the MOST BLANDEST novels ever! Every xianxia novel trope is in here. Totally unoriginal story and characters. Story is pretty much the same plot over and over again until the end.

WHAT A BLAST!! amazing story line although the author really loves the Hun Clan( plot armor too strong). Really loved the romance, but i think that the harem can still be improved. The translations can be sometimes confusing but people can still understand it so its okay. GREAT NOVEL AND I REALLY RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE
