Mysterious Teacher

Smiling I said "Well, something came up and I couldn't finish it" Coughing "If you could give me a till the middle of the week am sure I could finish it"

"Are you asking for special treatment?" he asked lightly laughing. "You should know better than anyone how fair I am its part of my policy except you've got a good excuse as to why you couldn't finish it within the given time Ayo".

Usually whenever he starts laughing he's more serious than ever and I didn't know what to say, the thought running through my head was should I tell him about it; Nah he'll probably just look at me like some crazy psycho and send me straight to the principal's office for wasting he's precious time.

I couldn't help but recall the look on his face when he was looking in the direction Michael usually sat, it got me thinking what if he had encountered one of them or if he was one of them, I had thousands of thoughts racing through my head but I couldn't just push the only chance I had at finding out more about who and what I truly was so I was stuck in-between whether I should tell him or not.

"Well, you'll probably say am crazy even if I told you the reason why I couldn't finish it" I said with a light laugh.

With an expression that said it can't be anything worse than what I've seen he said "Try me".

I told him about Michaels and his goons sudden disappearance while hinting at the fact that I saw that they were not exactly human since from his expression when he looked around and the fact that he was the only person that seemed to remember them, but of course to stay on the safe side I didn't mention the sensitive parts like fighting and killing them and then summed it all up as being over exhausted like the nurse said.

"Hahaha kid you must have a pretty imaginative mind" he said laughing. "What do you mean by they just disappeared". He turns to look at the class then asks them if anyone knows about Michael and his goons,

"Well sir, we think he's still not feeling alright after all the time he used to rest but a couple of weeks when you were on leave there was the destruction of the wall behind the bleachers and he was found there in an extremely sorry state, not to mention he was the only one there when he woke up he kept on rambling about some imaginary guys and what not"

The whole class starts laughing saying am truly the school psycho since am still insisting about the whole imaginary Michael and his goons.

"Well, I'll give it to you you're the first person to come up with such a bizarre tale" He said enjoying his laugh. "See me in my office later".

While laughing "Everyone settle down, lets thank Mr. Ayo for saving you guys from a Pop quiz this morning" the whole class suddenly quiets down from the mental shock they received from hearing about the surprise cancelled pop quiz.

The morning went relatively well except for the fact that the whole class had started looking at me with gazes filled with amusement. I felt like a monkey in a zoo.

"Hah, well I guess I can only wait for the holidays to find any information about them without making a fool of myself" I thought. The bell for lunch went off, stepping out of the classroom I run into a student who was sent to find me.

"Are you Ayo?" He asked

"Yes, any problem" I replied

"Mr. Boyle said you are to meet him in his office" He said while running off

I guess he was not joking when he told me to meet him in his office that morning, I continued walking towards the cafeteria to have lunch, I decided to take my time since I didn't know what awaits me. I quietly finish eating my lunch and decided to look for Mr. Boyle in his office.

Standing outside his door, I take a deep breath then I knock on his door, before quietly arranging my hair.

"Yes, Who's That?" He answered from the comfort of his office

"It's me Ayo sir." I replied

"Well hurry up and come inside there's no need to keep standing outside" he sounded quite anxious which was not normal. I hurried inside only to find him walking towards me, before checking outside the door as if making sure I wasn't followed or that there was nobody who would be listening in on our conversation. Locking the door, he asks me to sit while looking at me he says tell me everything you remember from that day and not leave anything out because that will decide whether your safe or not and you better not lie to me like you did in class.

Dumbfounded I stare at him like a fool, "What?" that's the only word that was able to escape my lips. "We don't have a lot of time, so you better hurry up" this time he was clearly anxious.

"Why should I trust you or what you say?"

"You don't have to trust me" He said.

"Fine if you say so but how can I guarantee that I'll be safe if I tell you about what happened" I asked another question

"What you say is of great importance, and why would you think you were not safe with me" This time he seemed to have caught on to something and was sure that I definitely knew something I shouldn't have.

My big mouth always has to ask so many questions, I should be more careful with what I say since I don't know who's side he's on.
