CHAPTER SEVEN

When they got home, her father helped her to get down from the car and they both walked slowly to the large mansion's living room.

"Anna!"

Her father called as he slowly made Paige on the couch. Paige looked at her father as he placed her things on the floor and went to the kitchen and out he came with a glass of water and Anna on his tail.

"Take the water."

He said handing Paige the glass of water.

"Welcome ma'am."

Anna said and Paige just nodded as she drunk her water.

"Take her thing in her room and make some food for her to eat okay."

Anna nodded picking up Paige's things and leaving the father daughter duo.

"Pa?"

Paige called when he saw his father lost in thoughts. Her father turned and looked at her and she motioned him to sit next to her. Her father slowly walked to her and made himself comfortable next to her.

"what are you thinking?"

Her father smiled.

"You mother is holding one of her big fancy dinners here next Friday and I am not ready to have the house filled with people I hate."

Paige laughed. Her father would start holding the same types of meeting a few months after she dies.

"Why are you laughing?"

Paige looks at her father.

"Nothing, I hate the dinners too but there is nothing we can do."

She said and her father smiled.

"Let's get you to your room."

"One more question dad."

She stopped him as he tried to help her stand up. He sat back down looking at Paige waiting for her to ask the question.

"If let's say mum accept the divorce will you abandon us."

She said meaning her brother and herself.

"of course not baby…you and your brother are the best thing you mother could ever gift me."

He slowly held her hand and Paige jumped on him engulfing him in a tight hug.

"Thanks pa, for everything."

Her father smiled hugging her back.

"That accident definatly changed something in you."

He said as the hug came to an end much to Paige's disappointment.

"I know."

She simply said as her father helped her stand and walk to her room.
