Chapter 8, Moonlight Cafe

I need to hurry and earn more money, so that I can go to where Haruki is. I've been taking lots of quests and trying to earn enough but I'm still not getting anywhere. What should I do? Besides getting a part time job I don't see another way to earn money. Maybe I'll get a new job?

"A job besides adventuring?" Jason asked.

The four of us are currently having lunch together in a restuarant in town.

"You could open a shop here. Any service you can offer is fine." Veronica said. "Something from your homeland might get the people here interested."

"Oh, I know!!" I snapped my fingers. "A small cafe, I'll sell dishes from my homeland."

"You'd need a permit first." Misa said. "Just go to the Merchant Organization and register."

"Thanks." I said.

After lunch I ran off to the Merchant Organization and at their counter I met a young lady with green hair and white skin with amber eyes. Just as we were about to talk old woman who was apparently the head of the Merchant Organization descended from the staircase beside her.

"I'd like a business permit." I said as the young lady, Elsha-san asked what I wanted.

"What kind of shop are you opening?" She asked.

"A cafe, it'll have things from my homeland." I told her and this caught the old lady's attention.

"You aren't from our nation?" Elsha-san asked.

"No. I'm from the Heroes's Nation, Tsuki." I answered her and she tilted her head.

"I've never heard of that nation before." She said.

"I suppose you wouldn't have." I said. "So about my permit."

"Here you go." The old woman handed me a permit.

"Thank you." I said.

"You've got the spark of a merchant in your eyes. If you need help, come on down here. I'm the Merchant Organization's Head, Fray." She said. "If you need employees you know where to find them."

"I understand." I said and bowed my head. "Thank you."

"So are you looking for a property as well?" She asked with a grin.

"Pretty much." I answered.

"Then I have the best one possible." She said with a smile.

She along with a few other helpers showed me a lot about a hundred meters squared. It's actually really nice, you get to see a large view, it overseas the forests and the mountains in the distance. There aren't many homes though but I think it's good since there aren't many competitions here.

"How much?" I asked her.

"Ten gold coins." She smiled.

"Here." I handed her the gold coins.

"So, when will you open?" She asked.

"Tomorrow." I said with a smile.

"Hohoho? Really now, you'll open tomorrow?" She asked with a smile.

"Now then. I better get to work." I said.

"You know where to go when you need workers." She smiled and I nodded my head.

I checked the area and it seems fine, there aren't any problems with the lot as well.

Now then, I want to make it special, so maybe if I make similar to the homes back home? That seems like the best.

I created the house in a day, literally. Using Creation Magic I was able to make in less that a day. It's a large cafe with a second floor that has a terrace. The house is similar to the ones back hime with a slight adjusment. The roofs are tiles, the doors are sliding doors and the inside seems more like a house.When you open the sliding doors you'll enter a large room, straight ahead is the counter. There are books from my homeland here, all made by creation magic. Outside there's a pond with koi and water lilies in it. A path made from small stones lead to the entrance, a cherry blossom tree outside. I even made a dorm at the back of the area that will serve as my home and area for the future employees to use.

All that's left is the cooking. I'll have to go and buy ingredients right now and decide on what I'm selling. I know I'll be sellings sweets like cookies and ice-cream, maybe tea and juice or coffee. Wait, do they even have tea here? Well, for now, I'll go buy the ingredients, mainly flour, eggs, milk and the like.

Oh right. I think a kimono or a yukata is needed. Maybe a cross between the two? Like the ones Yuri were wearing. I can make them all with magic so that'll be fine but the bext question is the workers. Hmmm... I don't want to hire anyone until I know that everything will go fine. So maybe I'll use golems?

Hmmm... ah! For now I'll just use the golems. I went to the back and used creation to make humanoid golems. Two for now, a male and a female. They're actually similar to Yuri and the rest.

The male has silver hair and eyes with white, his hair is long and tied in a tail down his back. He is dressed in a white dress shirt, a black vest that is buttoned up infront and black formal pants with black shoes. He has a slender build with a handsome face that I'm sure will attract costumers.

The girl has golden hair and eyes with white skin. Her golden hair is tied down her shoulder in a braid. She is dressed in a short skirted black dress with a white apron upfront that was frilly. She had large breasts that should drawn in male costumers.

The next question is what I should do about their personalities. I know that Yuri and the others shared a piece of the Zodiacs personalities and a bit of the Hero's Protection. To imbue them with a personality of the personality I want I need something that contains their DNA. Since I don't have anything, I'll give them my DNA. That should work.

After placing a strand of my hair into their "hearts" I stepped back and activated them.

"Greetings, Master." The man kneeled down. "I shall be in your service from now on."

"How do you do. I shall do my best to service you." The woman said. Hmmm... I need to name them.

"Taiyo and Tsuki." I said pointing to them. "You'll be Taiyo and you'll be Tsuki."

"We understand." They said.

"Now then. Tomorrow you'll be working here. I want you to ask the customers what their order is and if they have any complaints and bring their orders to me." I said. "Do you understand so far?"

"Yes." They answered.

"Hey master, should I clean the shop before and after we open?" Taiyo asked. He is the man.

"Yeah. Can you do that?" I asked him.

"I understand. " He answered. I see his starting gain his personality. He seems to developing the elegant and vibrant butler personality.

"Ar~a ar~a, this seems worrisome. Nee-chan may need to do a lot of service." Tsuki said. Ahahaha, she gained the older sibling personality.

"Master, what is the name of the cafe?" Taiyo asked.

"Moonlight Cafe." I answered him.

"Nee-chan will work hard." Tsuki said.

"You two, make sure you do your job properly." I told them.

"Yes." They answered.

We spent the rest of the day handing out flyers and spreading word about our cafe. I also sent some to Hestia Village and to Ver-san and Elias-san. I hope someone comes tomorrow. I'm going to do my best for Haruki.
