CHAPTER 7, THE GIRL'S UNREQUITED LOVE

"Hey Haru, couldn't sleep?" Neph asks when I get out to the deck gazing at the stars.

"I wanted to look at the stars a bit." I said and look up. "There all so beautiful."

"Are you familiar with any of the constellations?" A girl says, she has yellow hair, green eyes and white skin but what stands out is her large breasts. "Are you familiar with any?"

"Y-yes!" I answer, I was distracted by her large breasts. "Um, you are?"

"Oh right, my name is Chrysoberyl Magnolia, Alexi's older sister. Feel free to call me Chris." She says. "So which constellations are which?"

"That one over there, it's called Ursa Minor, that bright star is called Polaris." I say pointing at the star, among the memories with Pisces were memories of the stars and of certain things. "It's called the Northern Star, it's always at it's place that's why it's called the Northern Star."

"Are there any more?" Jade says appearing out of nowhere.

"Let's see, Lyra is over there. That bright star is Vega." I say pointing to the bright star at Lyra's tip. "There are lots of bright stars but they can't be seen all at once. Aldebaran of Taurus, Sirius of Canis Major, Regulus of Leo."

"You know a lot about the stars, don't you Haru?" Aria says jumping out behind me. "What about that one over there."

"That's Aquila, the eagle and that bright star is Altair." I say following the stars she's pointing at. "My grandparents used to take me out for star gazing when we had free time or so the memories tell me."

"Come to think of it, Haru where are your parents?" Chris asks.

"They died when I was still young or at least I think they did." I say. "I only have vague memories of them, my dad would pick me up and carry me while mom would sing a lovely lullaby."

"Haru..." Neph looks at me with a sad expression.

"Haru, sorry if we made you feel sad." Aria says.

"Don't worry, I'm not." I say looking at the skies with smile.

"What do you mean, wouldn't you be sad if someone suddenly mentioned something sad like that?" Jade says.

"My grandparents and parents are always with me, in my heart. 'Don't stop in place, move forward with a smile on your face so that the ones who are no longer by your side may be happy.' was what they said." I told with a smile. "My grandparents told me, no matter how much we want, we can't go back in time. So instead, move forward with a smile so that the people who are no longer with you can be happy knowing you are moving forward with a smile."

"Your grandparents were wise." Jade says placing his hand on my head. "My old man told, if he keep the people we love close in our hearts then we will never be apart from them."

"Wow! What's that?" Aria asks pointing to the glowing plants in the water.

"Luminescent Kelp, a rare type of kelp that can be used to heal severe burns and cuts but usally they are found in warm waters, that's strange." I say. "It's wierd, they grow in warm waters, I should know I have a few in my small aquarium at home."

"Cool." Aria says but I feel like I forgot something about them. They grow in warm waters but there was something else about them...

"Hey what's that in the water?" Neph asks pointing to something.

"I didn't see anything." Aria says

"It was there, something huge, that had weird glowing scales." He says insisting.

"Neph, I never taught you to lie." Jade says, and just then I recall what I forgot.

"Neph isn't lying." I say with a trembling voice.

"What do you mean?" Chris asks.

"Luminescent Kelp is food to one specific sea creature, when those creature grow large they become extremely dangerous, some have even found giant ships and whale corps inside their stomachs." I say. "They're called Ocean Terrors and can range from Crackens to Guantic Sharks, they grow proportion to the Luminescent Kelp that is around them, with the amount of Luminescent Kelp we see around us, an Ocean Terror can grow to become the size of 5000 ft. and easily devour the ship we're on. We need to alert Master."

Jade runs down to the lower level and brings the bell and soon everyone is up and at the deck. Some are asking why they were woken up and finally they see the glowing figure in the water and Master takes the wheel and tries to stir us out of the glowing water. "Wouldn't it just follow us out of the glowing water?" Alexi asks.

"It won't, it sticks close to the Luminescent Kelp since it can't see in the dark." I say. "If we can get out of the area of glowing kelp we can surely get to safety."

"There's a large figure in the water, it's scales are about the size of a person." Chris announces, just then from the water a giant figure appears, it's a kraken, it's tentacles are huge about five meters wide, that thing can bring us down in a second.

"Come, The Paired Fish Familiars, Pisces." I say and summon Pisces. "Please keep it busy while we try to get the ship to a safer place.

"Understood." The say and charge at it, even in their fish form they're still only half as big as the thing.

While the two fight off the large tentacles most of the members are helping the Master with the ship, those who use wind magic are using wind to push the sails, water magicians are using water to push the ship but just then, when we're nearly out of the glowing waters, a tentacles reaches us. It's taken a couple members as hostages. "Crystal Sho-" Chris starts chanting but us stopped by Jade.

"You might hit them." He says.

"Come, my Lion Familiar, Leo." I say and Leo appears, sword in hand. "Cut its tentacles."

"Understood." He says rushing to the the tentacles to help our friends.

"Haru, you summoned two familiars, will you be fine?" Aria asks helping me since I've fallen on my knees.

"I'll be fine, I just need to keep them present for a little longer." I say and just then Leo cuts of the giant tentacles and the members are free. "Leo; Return."

With a little more we finally reach the outside of the water and everyone can finally take a breather. Pisces returns and I sit down exhausted, maybe summoning two Zodiac Familiars all at once is too much for my body. "Haru are you okay?" Aria asks.

"I'll... be... fine..." I say but I lose consciousness.

ARIA'S POV

Poor Haru, he must have been exhausted, he had to summon familiars multiple times today. It must've really exhausted the poor guy. I along with the rest of the guild take turns watching him as he rests up in his room. "Aria time to change shifts." Neph says knocking at the door.

"Oh Neph, alright." I say and go outside while Neph sits down beside Haru.

When I moved to Goshenite Town, Haru was the only person I could open up to before joining the Guild. He helped me out a lot, teaching me all sorts of stuff. I admired how he could be brave and stand up to anyone, but before I noticed it, my feelings had turned to love. I couldn't bring myself to tell him I love him so I vowed I'd keep my feelings to myself.

It's already high noon, he's been asleep for a while now. I decide to help the others cook lunch while some are above deck keeping their eyes up, the others are resting while Master is busy plotting where we'll head. After last night's incident Master wants us to be on high alert, Haru was exhausted after all the work he did. What's more, Luminescent Kelp.... Haru siad that they grow in wanr waters, but the waters from Port Aquamarine to Goshenite Town are cold, meaning we might have gone the wrong way. It was time for cooking so the cooking team for lunch is me, Alexi and Dia. "Hey, how do you feel?" Dia says placing her hand on my head, she has crystal blue hair was tied in two braids down her shoulder with bangs cover her left blue eye and white skin.

"I'm fine, why do you ask?" I answer her.

"You haven't had any sleep at all since last night." She says. "The Diva can't overwork herself you know."

"Haha, that old nick name never gets old does it?" I answer her with a sarcastic voice. "And where was the Queen of Gems last night?"

"Helping Master with the wheel." She answers. "How's the new guy?"

"He still hasn't come to." I answer with a frown. "I'm really worried."

"Don't force yourself to work okay, it isn't good for your health." Dia says with a gentle smile. "If you get sick Storm will be worried twice as much."

"She's right you know." Alexi says tapping my shoulder. "You get some rest."

"Okay." I say and head back to my room and rest.

If only I could use healing magic, I could help Haru recover. He helped a bunch of times back in Goshenite Town. From wounds to burns to infections, he's helped me a bunch so I want to help him too. He was always so kind before I knew it I had fallen in love with him. Every Saturday I'd look forward to talking with him at the beach but now the two of us are members of the same guild. I hope he hasn't noticed my eyes following him everywhere. I lie down on my bed and get some rest, it's twelve o'clock at the moment.

I feel someone shake me awake, I open my eyes to see Haru by my side. Is this a dream? "Haru? What re you doing here?" I ask him.

"I came to wake up the guild's one and only Diva." He answers with a gentle voice. "Come on, lunch time. If you can't eat I'll feed it to you."

"W-why would you do that!?" I exclaim.

"That's because, I. Love. You." He says and kisses me and I jump awake.

"It was just a dream." I say looking around my cabin and I see Storm. "What are you doing in my room?!"

"Just about to wake you up, it's lunch time." He says dragging me out of bed. "Come on, Haru woke up a while ago and is already t the dining table."

"What?!" I exclaim and run out the door. "Why didn't you say anything?!"

I rush to the dining room to find Haru and Dia talking happily. "Haru! How do you feel?!" I exclaim from the door.

"I'm fine." He answers, just then Storm grabs his ear.

"You need rest, go back to your room and rest, I'll bring you your lunch." He says.

"I don't want to trouble you Storm." He answers.

"No buts, go to your room and rest." Storm says.

"Go on and get some rest, Haru you worked really hard last night, please get some rest." Rose says placing her hand on his shoulder.

"Okay." He answers and head backs to his room.

Storm grabs a tray and places lunch on it, roasted fish, salad and sashimi. I volunteer to bring it to Haru so Storm gets me another tray with the same foods on it. I then go to Haru's room and there I find him sit up on his bed, his blue hair and light pink eyes are beautiful basking in the might of the sun. "Haru, time to eat." I say and sit down beside him. He tries to pick up the spoon but his hands don't have any energy to hold it.

My feelings for Haru, I don't think they'll fade in the lightest, but that's okay. I'll hold on to them, till they day I die.
