Chapter 32, Reunion and Unification

I stood frozen for a moment before we run for each other and embrace wordless and the emotions of joy, longing, relief and excitement pour over us.

Then, we break apart, tears streaming down both our faces. Haruka is crying, his clear blue eyes now overflown with tears. I brush his hair back and hold his face in the palm of my hands.

"H-Haruki..." His sobbing and he hugs me tight. "W-welcome back."

"I'm back." I held him close. "What's wrong?"

"I've... missed you... so much!" He cried.

"Geez, my brother is so emotional." I said.

After calming him down a bit, we all preceded to enter the city. There we were greeted by a girl. She had silver hair with green tips and white skin with sapphire blue eyes.

"Hello, nice to meet you all. My name is Lina." She bowed her head.

"Oh, Lina, you came to welcome us yourself?" Misha asked.

"I take it she's your younger sister?" Haruka asked.

"Yes. I am." Lina said and bowed her head then hugged Haruka and planted a kiss on his lips.

"L-Lina! What on earth are you doing?!" Misha exclaimed.

"Kissing my future husband." She said.

"W-what are you talking about?" Aishea asked and Haruka and me put it together.

"She must be the last bride." I said with a smile and turned to the two girls beside me. "Are you Haru's thirteenth and fourteenth? I can take it your Haruka's fifth and sixth brides."

"N-no! I-I'm not!!" The two exclaimed.

"Hmm? But I can see it." I said. "Your love for Haruka."

"W-well... I-I do like him." The half-elf said. "B-but!!"

"They are fellow brides alright." Layla said.

"So with them fifteen in all." I smiled.

"Love will grow over time." Rue said as she held Luna's hand. Haruka shared his memories with me and I accepted them.

We headed to the Academy where Athena was. As I walked beside Haruka my hands find his without further discussion. He smiles and I do too. Obviously we go into this as one.

"Ah! That's right. Here. I've kept it for you. We'll aunty and uncle did before they died." Ryu says and hands us a necklace.

It's a pendant necklace with the yin and yang. I wear mine and Haruka wears his. Yang for me and Yin for him.

"Balance is born from union." We said and smiled.

We arrived at the Academy and were greeted by a woman with blonde hair and golden eyes with white skin.

"It's you?!" Haruka exclaimed.

"Oh, you remember me." She smiled.

"Do you know her?" Misha asked.

"She's the one that saved us from Hyperion." He answered.

"How do you do. My name is Athena, the Guardian of Knowledge." She bowed her head. "I saw what was going to happen to you so I just did what I had to do."

"I see. Your ability is precognition." I said.

"Do come in." She directed us to the principal office and had us sit down.

We sat down and began to talk. About what we would do next. According to Athena, she saw that we would only waste our time by going to Poseidon City. Poseidon has returned to help seal the Titans.

"If you can see the future can't you also see how this will all end?" Zero asked.

"I wish it was that easy." Athena said with a real edge of bitterness in her tone. "I can't see the whole future, only glimpse of it. Mostly those that hold the highest probability of being reality."

While they were discussing things, Haruka and I talked via our mind. It's a special ability we share. Twins have the ability to communicate mentally over short distances.

"Hmm..." Haruka and I tried to think of things to do now.

"Haruki if we do 'that' spell think we can endure it?" Haruka asked.

"Maybe. But then we'd need 'that' to help us." I said.

"If we substitute it for this?" He asked.

"Then the output would drop." I answered. "We need to maintain the flow of magical energy too. Hmm... maybe if we did... no that wouldn't be enough."

"What if we share them like this." He said.

"Then we'd be wasting a large amount of magical energy when they meet." I answered.

"What are you two talking about?" Takeshi said.

"Ah, we're trying to figure out how much magical energy is needed to release the seal on the Guardians." We answered.

"What if you used Absolute Order?" Haruka asked.

"Can't. Absolute Order only works on the Familiars. The Guardians aren't Familiars but Servants." I answered him. "Meaning, unlike the Familiars who were made by Tohru-jii-san and Lita the Guardians are Servants, they were chosen to serve the family as Servants not Knights."

"Then how about Domination?" He asked.

"Can't either. They aren't exactly rebelling or doing anything against my power." I answered. "Oh, what about Release?"

"That might work. But... we'd have to gather them together for me to be able to do that." He said. "Think we can pull off Calling?"

"We might." I answered.

"What are you two plotting?" Ryu asked. "I just heard you mention Calling, Release and Domination."

"Is something wrong with them?" Mana asked.

"Domination. The power to dominate all those who oppose your power. Release, the power to go beyond the shackles that bind you. Calling, the power to gather all." Takeshi enumerated. "Their some of the oldest and powerful spells of the Tsuki Family. In fact, they're called the Order Spells."

"In the Tsuki Family, a number of spells has been passed down through the genration. Among them, the Order Spells are used to dominate others." Takeshi answered. "Origin Spells can be used to create things. Gift Spells are spells that allow you to give others powers. They're only examples of the many spells passed down in our family."

"What are you planning to do with the three spells?" Lita asked in a carefully.

"We're going to release the chains that bind the Guardians." We answered. "We need all of them after all."

"Then, if our seal is lifted, we would be able to distribute our power more easily." Athena said excitedly. "The First Borns would also be able to seal them away easily!"

"That's right. That's why we want to undo the spell." We answered. "But right now we're having trouble deciding what we should do."

"What's wrong exactly?" Rose asked.

"Here. This is the base of the spell. The rings around it are the sequences needed to activate it." We presented a spell. A magical gem at the center of a rings of small light orbs. "The center is the base spell, but we need two more pieces to complete it."

"What do you mean?" Alexi asked.

"The base is an Original Spell. The three rings are spells. They are Limit Beeak which overcomes a one's limit. Overdrive which allows a person to continuously release large amounts of magical power." Haruka enumerated. "And the last one is an Enchantment Spell. It will permanently enbue the spell into the Guardians but there's two problems."

"That is?" Misha asked.

"We have no way of connecting all the Guardians continually till the spell reaches it peak." We answered. "It would be easy if they were all together but since they've been spread far and wide we can't connect them properly. We found a solution for that problem but from there a new another problem comes. How to provide the spell with enough magical energy."

"What do you mean by that?" Priscilla-baa-san asked.

"We need to feed it large amounts of magical energy till the spell reaches full power and the spell is embued on all the Guardians completely." We answered. "We don't have a spell that's capable of producing that much amount of magical energy."

"Can't you convert the air into magical energy?" Silver asked.

"We can't. The magical energy that the spell needs has to share the same properties as its caster." We answered. "That means, it has share some of our magical energy and it'll be too taxing to convert air into magical energy continously."

"Can't you just provide it with that much magical energy?" Rain asked and we shook our heads. "Don't you have high magical energies?"

"It's true that we have high magical energy but even with both of us releasing magical energy, it would only make it to about half of the requirement." We answered. "Haru is a different matter though."

"What do you mean?" Clover asked and we took a deep breath before we said it out loud.

"This is good bye. We'll return to Haru." We said.
