A couple of years ago, I stumbled off the subway in Upper Manhattan, exhausted after a long and stressful day at work, dreaming about the warmth of my bed. I stopped in a 7/11 on the way to my apartment to buy a bag of popcorn (treat yourself!). A man about three times my size stood in front of me at the register buying a pack of cigarettes and turned toward me, telling me I looked tired. I smiled uncomfortably and became noticeably more alert, as a young woman does when a strange man starts talking to her at night. He turned toward the cashier and said that he was going to get my snack too. I politely declined and was already pulling out my wallet, but this man wouldn’t allow me to say no. He handed the cashier a couple of extra dollars to cover my popcorn and told me that he hoped my night got better. He walked out of the store and I never saw him again. The world could use a little more kindness. It’s so easy to get caught up in your own routine and everyday personal worries that sometimes we just don’t remember to tune into those around us. The man who paid for my popcorn has stuck with me and inspired me to pay it forward to others who look like they could use a hand. It feels great to be kind, so it’s a win-win!

Author's Note :) ———————- This piece could not have been finished without my sister a.k.a. Editor, and my inspiration to be a better writer. All the research I did for this piece has made me a better writer and I learned alot from the inspirational rapper/actor/poet Tupac Amaru Shackur. I also learned a lot about myself that I thought I couldn't do. There were some parts of the story I had to come up with on my own, since I couldn't find some information on Tupac's life at 17. I did find roughly enough information, to piece things together, and feel as accurate as possible. For example, I couldn't find exactly who exactly Tupac was staying with in California, so I made up a fictional family Tupac and his family stayed with. All I found is that they were family friends. As well as some of the characters were made up, like Rosé, Willian, Daisy, J Dog, and Mrs. Johnson. Tupac's mother and sister, along with Lelia Steinberg were all actual and important people in Tupac's life. Also all of the places mentioned in the story are also real, and were important places to know during Tupac's life at 17. With nothing to waste time on, Ozai ordered the shameful messenger to be removed from his path. - Fire Lord Ozai. – The soldier knelt, using his strength to prevent him from being dragged. – I deliver an urgent message from Katsu. For a split second, Ozai's angry face calmed down, but he quickly regained his composure, extending his hand to receive the scroll from someone special to him. As he read, his serious expression softened. A small part of his humanity was stronger than the acting, lies and conspiracies. Katsu, a woman who managed to catch his attention at a military party, where several political and military figures from the Fire Nation gathered, was seriously ill, to the point that possibly by the time this message arrived in her hands she would already be with the spirits. However, what overshadowed the news of Katsu's death was the revelation that he had a son, more specifically a first-born son, a little older than his son Zuko. This news impacted his heart, under normal conditions he wouldn't have minded, but the meeting he was in was already lasting hours and his mind was already starting to lose focus. A bomb like that thrown in itself would inevitably affect him and now an anomaly existed in this world.

Selene, a beautiful name that once belonged to a very beautiful moon goddess that now belongs to a beautiful college student with flowing and long shiny black hair and beautiful brown eyes who tries to balance her life as a student by day and as a quick-rising author by night. Although the two may bicker and quarrel from time to time, no one can deny that the two had chemistry. As time passes by, Selene realizes that she somehow got herself entangled in Night's business and that she is now being targetted by Night's Pack's enemies as well, not only that but another revelation has unfolded and Night, his parents, his pack along with the world she grew up in that she's always believed to be normal is not really what it seems and that there is always more to it than meets the eye. How will Selene go back to her normal life? Or can she even go back to her normal life and see everything the same as before now that her life has changed? How will she react now that the truth started to unravel itself? Will she once again turn a blind eye like she did as a child?
