Chapter 3

Argo stared up at the intruder in surprise as Awerkok growled threateningly at the newcomer. Argo didn't know who he was, but he knew he wasn't good news, the stranger looked familiar to him.

Argo stood, holding onto his bleeding leg. The stranger stepped forward and put his hand on Awerkok's shoulder.

"Leave him alone!" Shouted the stranger in anger.

At the sound of his voice, Awerkok turned around and looked down at him.

"Who are you? You shouldn't be here" Said Awerkok.

Argo looked at the stranger, he seemed familiar too, but he couldn't quite put his finger on where he saw him.

"He told you to leave me alone." Said Argo to Awerkok. "I am not one of them!"

"What makes you say that? Who sent you?" Stated Argo.

Argo ignored him and turned to the man who had saved him.

"You saved me" He said.

The stranger shrugged and said "I didn't know how much damage you'd done to me if you were to try and fight that monster"

Argo turned to Awerkok.

"Please, please leave me alone. What if those monsters come after me?" Said Argo.

"Don't worry about them. They won't bother coming after me as long as you're here to keep an eye on me and the rest of the group" Said the stranger calmly as if he was speaking to a small child who had no idea of what danger she had gotten herself into.

Argo smiled at the stranger. If it weren't for him he wouldn't be able to stand right now, it was like there was a huge force pushing all the energy out of him. It must be because this person is strong, he must have been extremely powerful. Argo admired this man's strength, he could see how easily he defeated Awerkok without breaking a sweat.

"Thank you" He said to him.

He then glanced at Awerkok and nodded. Awerkok nodded as well before retreating into the shadows and disappearing. Argo stood still, trying to catch his breath before looking at the stranger again, noticing he was staring at him with a surprised expression on his face.

"Um..you should go see a doctor" Said Argo awkwardly, shifting uncomfortably from foot to foot.

The stranger nodded and said "Yes, yes, of course, thank you" He bowed slightly in thanks and ran off as fast as possible.

Argo watched him leave before sighing and sitting back down on his seat.
