Awakening of the Dragon God

The Dragon God of this world had grown angry and fearful at the same time. His descendants were supposed to reach apex power in the world and suppress all other races into submission! It was supposed to be fun and worthwhile watching everything play along! Yet, every single strong being consisted of only humans in these eras! This was so frustrating! "Alright, that's it. I need a dragon who can display the true power of our race and suppress all the humans that took over the world. I need someone that doesn't have a beast's mind. I need someone that is willing to take risks and blast through life-threatening situations for supreme power. Someone who showcases to the world what a True Dragon is once again." " Time to check out that place and fix what has been once broken." Sam was an assassin who finally got to retire after his arm got broken without any possibility of healing again. His life ended in a sudden tragedy that he actually expected to happen, but before he could go to the afterlife, he was pulled away by a being that spoke about reviving his race. Follow Sam on his journey as a dragon to conquer the human race and reach the apex in a world where people thought dragons were mere useless lizards that were good in nothing. However, an unexpected situation in that not even the dragon god saw it coming occurred, and the strongest system of extraordinary origins chose Sam as its host. The cover isn't mine. Trouble!

Sam was about to say the name he had back on earth when he suddenly remembered that he had a true dragon name.

' He means my dragon name, if I'm not mistaken.' Sam thought as he spoke aloud.

***

Even though he was a baby dragon, he could still speak, think and have a firm grasp on his surroundings.

In other meaning, he wasn't helpless as a baby human that needed to learn everything from scratch, like walking and language.

Obviously, these are only the benefits provided by the ancestors of dragons since every eggshell contains knowledge about the basic of the world, magic, and other things that are helpful for a newly hatched dragon to live alone and get stronger without issues.

Sam didn't find this surprising or weird considering that if such a thing didn't exist, then dragons would have never been the apex race of this world and rule over humans, elves, and dwarves combined.

Indeed!

Humans like Sam, undoubtedly before he died, didn't solely rule this world.

Sam found out from the data in his eggshell that when the dragon god was talking about humans, he actually meant humans in general, which also consisted of elves and dwarves.

Even though he was astonished by such information at first, he quickly digested it and acknowledged that fact.

After all, this world is full of magic.

Dragons existed.

Humans that could practice magic or various sorts of techniques to become stronger existed.

Sam didn't find it surprising that other kinds of humans, like elves and dwarves he once read about in fantasy novels, also existed.

" My name is Arin, the Eternal!"

Buzz!!!!!

Boom! Boom!

The moment his name was spoken, the enormous body of the grey dragon shot back from a sudden shockwave that suddenly hit him and released out of the black dragon's mouth.

A crater that was a few meters deep and tens of meters long was formed on the spot the grey dragon was shot at. While the dragon himself was painted on the wall, his whole body heavily bleeding, and his eyes were full of fear, blood dripping out of them.

The moment Sam saw what happened after he spoke his name, a cold chill ran down his spine, and even his mind went blank for a split of a second.

' I'm dead; I'm gonna die. Why, what happened? All I did was voice my true name aloud as he instructed me.'

' Damn it!' Sam cursed after he calmed himself down and knew the consequences of his actions that were out of his control.

He opened his lizard-like mouth again to speak and ask what happened before he was abruptly cut off.

ROAR!

The dragon roared after he noticed the tiny dragon was about to dare and speak again, killing him on the spot, and he threateningly but barely said.

" Sp..speak no more. Just wait there till I heal my injuries."

The grey dragon hardly uttered that sentence before he closed his eyes.

Soon after, faint layers of blue mist could be seen quickly enveloping his enormous body, covering him whole in a matter of minutes.

Right when the blue mist that Sam suspected to be some healing spell finally covered his eyes and head, Sam's expression darkened.

' Should I wait like he instructed me to do? Or should I attempt to run away?' Sam's thoughts began rapidly spinning as he racked his brain to find the best curse of action he could take to get out of this situation.

He wasn't afraid that he would get killed after he injured the grey dragon since he knew that he was extremely valuable and this dragon would never dare to hurt him, given the fact that he was probably under the orders of the king never to harm him.

What made Sam extremely worried was his freedom and future; if he deduced things right, he suspected that he would never be able to see the light of day again if he didn't fully accept being under the king and follow his every order.

And this is something Sam never wanted to do since that will basically mean the end of his journey before it even began.

Some individuals may question why he is so paranoid and considers such extreme scenarios.

However, people who heard what the dragon god stated and had a bit of intelligence inside of their brains will know why he was so worried and fearful right now.

Dragons are beings that provide insanely strong and pure resources in every novel he reads.

And even though those were all novels that weren't based on reality, he wasn't naive to not believe them.

After all, the dragon god told him that his race ruled the whole world in the past, which means the same thing those novels portrayed.

Right now, after Sam's actions, the baby dragon's value will skyrocket in the king's eye, and he will make sure that his treasure will never be able to escape from under his nose and benefit other people.

If it was a normal person placed inside of this dragon and just saw what happened after they spoke, they would be extremely happy and jump out of joy.

Since they will think that they will be rewarded and heavily nurtured after the king notices their talent or whatever he did.

Sam, on the other hand, was someone who kept the dragon god's every word imprinted inside of his mind.

Plus, he was someone who read countless fantasy novels and was an assassin for more than a decade, which also means that he interacted with all kinds of wealthy people that paid a lot of funds to kill their enemies or obtain something they held inside of their mansion.

Thus, Sam had a lot of experience with people and how they think.

Subsequently, his experience in life was greatly enhanced and rich cause of these two reasons.

Immediately, Sam took the chance when the dragon was wholly covered in blue mist that was most likely healing him and executed reality eyes, creating an identical copy of himself that stood in the same spot.

Even though he couldn't fool the grey dragon for long, he would surely be able to win some time before he could find out that the baby dragon in front of him was a fake and not the real deal.

Sam wasn't pushing his luck here since the information provided by his reality eyes on the first technique, which was his illusion, clearly stated that he could fool anyone if they weren't using any form of skill to check what was wrong with him or do a throughout check out on his body.

Even though the grey dragon was bound to use that after Sam's copy doesn't react or respond to his actions or words. When that time came, Sam expected that he would be far away from this place.

About the dangers he will face or people he will come to stumble upon outside of these walls and inside the castle, he was confident he could do something about them using his illusions.

Moreover, he doubted that such a place that contained the precious resources of the king like the grey dragon told him will be surrounded by people all around it.

In fact, he even suspected that the grey dragon was the only guard situated in this area given his strength and loyalty.
