Awakening of the Dragon God

The Dragon God of this world had grown angry and fearful at the same time. His descendants were supposed to reach apex power in the world and suppress all other races into submission! It was supposed to be fun and worthwhile watching everything play along! Yet, every single strong being consisted of only humans in these eras! This was so frustrating! "Alright, that's it. I need a dragon who can display the true power of our race and suppress all the humans that took over the world. I need someone that doesn't have a beast's mind. I need someone that is willing to take risks and blast through life-threatening situations for supreme power. Someone who showcases to the world what a True Dragon is once again." " Time to check out that place and fix what has been once broken." Sam was an assassin who finally got to retire after his arm got broken without any possibility of healing again. His life ended in a sudden tragedy that he actually expected to happen, but before he could go to the afterlife, he was pulled away by a being that spoke about reviving his race. Follow Sam on his journey as a dragon to conquer the human race and reach the apex in a world where people thought dragons were mere useless lizards that were good in nothing. However, an unexpected situation in that not even the dragon god saw it coming occurred, and the strongest system of extraordinary origins chose Sam as its host. The cover isn't mine. Second Question!

The Dragon God went silent for several seconds before he finally answered, his voice sounding quite troubled as he hardly uttered the words.

" To be honest, that's entirely up to you; I can't help you with that question, but no worries, you can ask something else as your second question."

Sam frowned after he heard his reply; this was not something he expected. At the very least, he expected some kind of guidance throughout his journey during his early years, like a way to increase his strength safely or more efficiently, something that he could rely on and know that it surely worked.

Yet, it seemed that he had high hopes for this Dragon God to ask such a question, but he wasn't quite surprised since he knew that he really had no way of answering that question.

He isn't ignorant; before being forced by the people, his parents were indebted to become an assassin and repay them with work instead of money; he was someone who loved to read fantasy books about similar stuff.

Which is the main reason why he calmed down real quick.

If this wasn't a dream, then the only thing it meant was that it was either the afterlife or reincarnation, but he quickly shoved the former thought since he was told about another world from the get-go. Hence, he deduced that it was some form of reincarnation.

This led him to understand why this Dragon God was unable to answer his second question.

' If he knew of a way to suppress these humans, he wouldn't be caged in the first place, which means that even he doesn't know how to grow stronger than humans, and all the information he will provide for me are only necessary for a dragon to end up below humans.' Sam furrowed his brows as he thought about the next question.

Even though that knowledge could still help him get stronger at first, it will only ruin his path and make him reliant on it, which might lead him to become inferior to humans anyway, which is something that will probably kill him, given the fact that dragons of mediocre strength and beyond were killed as soon as they were detected.

He recalled his life before he became this person. At that moment, he was only a teenager who had a carefree life, devoid of any responsibilities and worries about his surroundings. His main hobby was reading novels, which made him lessen the stress he had about his school grades and family problems.

However, these scenes disgusted him, and he quickly moved to the parts of the fantasy books he had read during his years as a teenager, which will surely help him in his following questions.

' Think, think.' Sam glanced at the gigantic glowing eyes in the void right in front of him, but seeing no reaction coming out of that place, he continued thinking.

' Seems like he is okay with wasting some time since it was his fault that he was unable to answer my question. But it is really surprising he actually admitted his weakness without getting enraged by it, or he probably just doesn't care since I'm only a lowly life form in his eyes that didn't have a bit of strength.

After a few minutes of racking his brain to find the most valuable question that might aid him in his potentially dangerous journey, he opened his eyes, raised his head, and asked in a neutral tone.

" Tell me about the world you sending me to."

The Dragon God snickered. "Sure."

"I already told you a little bit about his world," the Dragon God said. "To repeat, his world allows someone to reach supreme power by increasing the power of your body and mind."

"There are innumerable ways to supreme power. You can use the inherent energy in the air to increase the power of your mind. This strengthens your soul, and the more powerful your soul gets, the more powerful your mental abilities become. You can crush mountains with just your mind or move the energy of the world in such a way that it creates powerful destructive forces."

"However, you can also focus on strengthening your body. By absorbing the energy in the atmosphere and fusing it with your body, you can become so fast and so powerful that the other person that trains their mind wouldn't even be able to react to an attack of yours."

"You can also fuse with some ethereal concepts and summon them."

"You can also concentrate on weapons, which allows you to split reality with a move of your weapon."

"You can also comprehend the concepts of how the world works and manipulate the energy in such a way that it imitates these concepts. You would gain control over fire, gravity, time, space, water, metal, life, and so on."

"You can even just purely absorb Energy without end, becoming a walking disaster that could unleash many years of accumulated power in a single strike."

Sam listened intently.

All of this sounded too predictable for him.

In fact, it was as he expected; it sounded more like those fantasy books he used to read, a lot of paths that all led to supreme power, fighting between each other to reach the apex of the world.

The Dragon God laughed. "Yes, it is quite similar, but keep in mind that this is reality, and you won't be sent in a body of a human. You gonna become a True Dragon."

Sam nodded.

"So, in short, there are innumerable ways to power, but If I'm not wrong, these paths are mostly meant for humans; you still didn't tell me about dragons." the man said.

Then, he paused.

Sam looked at the young man as his brows furrowed.

After that, his nose wrinkled in disgust, but Sam couldn't see it since he was hidden far away in the darkness of the void.

"Anyway," the Dragon God said as he looked at Sam, not as chipper as before. "all these different paths that humanity discovered and made use of to reach supreme power are indeed related to humans. Which is the same reason why my race began losing its grip over the world till they finally got suppressed and all the powerful ones and even the mediocre dragons got ruthlessly killed; even their offspring weren't sparred."

" Well, to put it simply, humanity kept evolving and reached that point where it could take down dragons with the different paths that they created. Dragons, on the other hand, didn't improve in the slightest, they were beasts after all, and even though their intelligence was on par with humans and even higher in some cases, they were too arrogant and proud to try and evolve, making them think they will be mimicking the lowly beings they always thought of as mere ants."

The Dragon God paused for a second as he helplessly sighed. Even he made that same mistake, which was the sole reason why he was reduced to this state, a mere prisoner kept behind insanely powerful energy gates that made him trapped for all eternity.

But he quickly regained his calm and controlled his emotions as he continued." In short, humans evolved, but dragons didn't; their path was only about improving their magic skills and creating new spells, which is something that all humans have been doing since forever. They ignored their body, thinking that it was inferior for them to train hard to increase their defense. After all, their body was beyond strong and nearly impenetrable."

"Thus, their path didn't evolve, and they kept on using magic without improving any of their other aspects, and here comes your role and my reason for choosing a human. Your way of thinking is like the other humans and can even be said to be superior since you came from that world he created, and this is also why I didn't answer your question earlier because I don't want to see you take the same path, and end up dying in the process, helpless to resist the humans."

The Dragon God changed his tone to a serious one as his gigantic snake-like eyes narrowed and spoke again.
