Ghost's POV

1 day later

"Everyone stay put, blend with the environment." I said

I'm in civilian clothes, back to the medical mask and hat. It was hot in Orlando, Florida so I was sweating with the wind breaker hoodie. I approached the house with Phantom and Marksman as casual as possible. I knock on the door and an old man around his 60s answers the door.

"How may I help you?" he asks

"You were the 46th president, am I correct?" I asked

"Oh that was a long time ago but yes I was." he replied

"We have some questions for you, do you mind us coming in?" I asked

"Sure, come in." he replied

He allows us in and motions us to the kitchen table. We take a seat and he hands us some coffee.

"So what kind of questions do you have?" asked the former president.

"Sir I-"

"Just call be Timothy, Timothy Anderson." he cuts me off

"Mr Anderson, I'm Lieutenant Colonel Ghost. Well I was a Lieutenant Colonel. This is Sergeant Major Phantom and he's Captain Marksman." I said

"Ahh, you are the heroes of the war." he said looking excited

"Well, kind of but while you were President my father and mother worked for you as a National President Security." I said

"What were their names?" he asked

"Kairos Kan and Sarah Kim."

He looks at me with a faint smile and a bit of sadness in his eyes.

"You must be Ajax, the son." he said

"Yes sir that's me." I replied, "I need to know about the operation they both took to kill the scientists of the NHEO."

He get up and walks up to a shelf next to us and takes out a file and hands it to me.

"These are the records of the American scientists." he said, "They were criminals, mad scientists. We sent them to an asylum but they must have broke out. We didn't hear from them until the NHEO. I sent your parents to kill them and the others scientists in order to shut the organization down."

"Thank you, that's all the questions we had."

"Your father was an honorable man. I can see your mothers eyes in you." he said

We get up and shake hands before we leave the house and leave.

"So, the Americans were all killed, now what?" asked Marksman

"We figure out who released this information." I replied, "We need to tell the world the truth."

"But the world already does." said Phantom

"They don't know that they were criminals who went against the country, plus it also shows how Russia helped out fugitives." I replied

"So what are we then?" asked Kit, "Are we fugitives too?"

"Yes, for now." I replied

"An entire world against a team of 8 people." sighed Phantom

"Recon is back too." implied Kit

"Should we take her out first?" asked Marksman

"She's probably the one who released the information." I said

"So he take her out and that's it." said Kit

"I don't know, I think we're dealing with something way bigger than we think." said Phantom

"Looks like we need to stay in Eldia for a while undercover." I said

Eren's POV

"Going live in 3, 2, 1."

Historia was broadcasting about the incident that happened and how war may be on the horizon.

"All, we are asking is for you to turn yourself in." said Historia

"We don't even have pictures of their face." I whispered to Annie

"I know." whispered Annie

Jean taps on both of us and motions to us to come over to check something out. We quietly leave the room and follow Jean through the hallways.

"We located Ghost." said Jean

"How?" asked Annie

"Armin was able to hack into the cameras all over the US." said Jean as he opened a door to a room filled with computers.

Scout team 104 were examining the computer screen and other things.

"Where was he last seen?" asked Annie

"Orlando, Florida. He entered a house today if we're talking about US time, at 3 pm and left the house 15 minutes after that." replied Armin

"Okay, lets go check it out." I implied

"Well, Recon already sent a squad to check up on the house." said Armin

"2 squads." corrected Jean

"Well we're still sitting ducks here." I said

Recon enters the room followed by a couple of Russians. We all stop working while Recon checks the intel we grabbed back at Ghost's house.

"He has kids huh." said Recon

"That's what we found." said Levi

"Well, looks like we got ourselves something helpful." replied Recon, "Hunt down the kids and bring them to me."

"What?" I asked, "You're not going to use the kids as baits."

Recon looks at me then hands the photo the babies to the soldier behind her and speaks in her language before he turns and leaves.

"What the hell did you tell him." growled Jean

"Ordered him to find the kids." replied Recon, "What else?"

"They're just little toddlers." said Annie

"Which will make Ghost come here." said Recon

"You're really testing him aren't you?" said Mike

"Oh, this is just the bait." replied Recon

Ghost's POV

6 hours later

We started heading back to the former President's house but when we got there something was wrong. Outside his house on his porch were a couple of people who seemed to be on guard.

"Russians, they must have tracked us." said Marksman

"Secondaries only, bag their bodies afterward." I said, "Suppressors on."

I park the car at the end of the block and get off the car. Juggernaut parks his car behind us and we approach the house. I signal Juggernaut to take the back door, so Juggernaut, Bomber, Hacker, and Javelin separates from the group.

We begin to approach the porch and I immediately shoot the first two and the rest of the Russians were popped by Phantom, Marksman and Kit.

I take position leaning on the wall next to the door. I slowly open the door and Marksman and Kit enter the living room, popping the Russians inside.

I signal the others to secure the first floor while we move to the second. I walk up the stairs quietly and I heard noises coming from the room from downstairs.

I quickly turn the corner to the hallway and pop all the Russians in the hallways. Phantom, Marksman enter different rooms, taking out any Russian while I walk towards the room where there was a lot of noise coming from inside. I kick the door open and inside were 4 Russians and the President tied up to a chair.

I kill the three Russians but I shoot the leg of the last Russian, he tries to pull out his gun but I kick it away and point my gun at his head. He raises both of his arm in surrender and the others start coming inside the room. Kit helps the President out of his chair, luckily he wasn't that hurt so he was able to get up by himself.

"Who sent you?" I asked him

He doesn't respond, sweat dripping down his forehead.

"Do you speak English?" I asked him

He nods in response,

"So who sent you?"

"Commander Recon." he replied

"She's still in Eldia?"

"Yes." he replied

"What's her next plan?" I asked

He looks around so I cock my gun just to scare him.

"She ordered a couple a squad to capture kids." he blurted out

"Kids?" I asked

"Two specifically, two toddlers." he replied, his body shaking

"Who's kids?" I asked

"Colonel Ghost's children." he replied

"What?!" Phantom grabs the Russian and pins him against the wall, "When the fuck are they going to take him?!"

"They already sent a squad 30 minutes after I was sent here." replied the Russian, barely speaking in a whisper.

She lets him go and he falls down onto the floor.

"We need to go back." said Phantom

"Don't worry I got that covered." said Hacker

"Huh?" asked Phantom

"I'll tell you later but for now," I turn to look at the Russian, "Go back, tell Recon that we're coming for her."

"Who are you?" he asked

"I'm the one she's hunting for."

We leave the room with the dead bodies and we get in the car. We drop off the President somewhere safe and we head back to our safe house.

"What did you mean by they're safe?" asked Phantom

"I asked Hacker to tell your dad to move somewhere else and he moved somewhere are literally no one can find him." I replied

"Where?" she asked

"With my foster parents." I replied

"As long as they're safe then I'm fine with it." replied Phantom

"They're fine, right now, Hacker is going to give us fake IDs and passports for the airport." I said, "We're going to Eldia."

Eren's POV

Recon was going crazy as she beat every member of the squad. We were outside the field, only one man from the squad sent to the house came out and the squad who went to hunt down the kids came back empty handed.

"Ghost you fucking little rat." snarled Recon

"We have to find him before she goes mad." I tell Armin

"Waiting for Erwin's command." whispered Armin

"Why are we always here when Recon loses her shit?" asked Connie

"I have no idea." replied Jean, "But I feel bad of the Russians under her command."

I left the group and went back into the computer room. I watched as I saw Ghost team enter the house and kill the Russians. Armin was able to follow them for a while up until where we saw the team drop off an old man. Erwin secretly ordered us to find the old man and see what Ghost wants from him. We set out in 5 minutes so I quickly left the room and met up with the others and took off to Florida.

"This will be a faster ride since Florida is faster than going to Colorado." said Hange, "The American allowed us to roam around the streets but without our primary weapons. So we're going to change into civilian clothing and talk to this man."

"1st squad will be inside while 2nd squad will cover the perimeter." said Levi, "And leave the interrogation to me."

"Rules of engagement?" asked Mike

"Innocent civilians are around so try not fire in open area." replied Levi, "There's most likely going to be hostiles inside the house so we need to be careful."

We set off to find out what was really going on.

Ghost's POV

7 hours later

"This is so stupid." commented Javelin

I had to dress differently since our fake IDs and passports had false info about us. I'm a stupid photographer who's going on a trip to Eldia with a group of friends.

Hacker has a friend who'll bypass the security making it look like we have other materials in the bags but in reality it's bags filled with weapons and our gear.

We're all at the airport and we start to put our bags down through security and we all handed our passport.

"Mr Timothy Dick?" asked the TSA security guard

'You're fucking joking.'

"Yes that's me." I replied

"You're all set, have a nice flight." said the TSA guard while smiling

"Thank you." I replied trying my best to smile back as casual as possible.

"Well, someone smiled." teased Phantom

I shake my head at her as we grabbed our bags as it successfully passed through security. We made our way to our plane and took our seat.

"How long do you think this is going to last?" asked Phantom

"If we're able to stop this from happening, probably just a month." I replied, "But if not, a whole another war is going to start."

"Another war will be devastating." said Phantom

"The next war won't be about who's right, but who's left." I said

"Sir." whispers Hacker, "Take a look at this."

He hands me his computer and on the screen was camera looking at a group of people in Orlando, Florida.

"Eren?" asked Phantom

"They must be there for the President." said Hacker

"Notify him, tell him if he cooperates with them, he'll be fine." I said

"You still trust them?" asked Marksman

"I know they'll do the right thing." I replied

Eren's POV

"Move up to the house." said Levi

I move up to the front of the house as 1st squad moves up the porch. Levi knocks on the door but a woman opens the door.

"How may I help you?" asked the woman

"Is there an elderly man here?" Levi asked

"And who are you?" she asked

Levi just rolled his eyes and kicks the door open. The woman falls down and we quickly enter the house. The woman pulls a gun out from a drawer and points it at Levi but before she pulled the trigger an old man comes out.

"Wait, they're not here to hurt us." said the old man

The woman lowers her gun and turns around to face the old man.

"Sorry sir." she apologized

"You know who we are?" asked Hange

"Let's just say, I remember those who help the war." replied the old man

Jean closes the door behind us and we all sit down on the kitchen table.

"We saw that Colonel Ghost was with you yesterday." said Hange, "What are you to him?"

"Oh, his father used to work for me." he replied

"And who are you?" asked Moblit

"I'm Timothy Anderson." said the old man, "I was the 46th President of the United States."

I look in shock as he chuckled.

'We just barged onto a former president.'

"Why was Ghost here?" asked Hange

"Oh, I don't think I should be telling you this." replied the former President

"Then who are we supposed to learn it from?" asked Hange

"You should ask Ghost himself."

"Please we need to know." pleaded Mikasa

He sighs and nodded at the woman. She leaves the table and comes back with a file.

"NHEO." whispered Annie

"These are the 10 American scientists who were part of the NHEO." said the former President, "They were fugitives, we were able to capture them and lock them up in an asylum. But somehow they were able to escape and were never heard from again. Not until NHEO was founded and we learned that they were the ones who founded it and Russia was helping fugitives."

"Where are they now?" asked Jean

"I ordered an operation to kill them." replied the former President, "Ghost's father and mother took on the mission and killed every last one of them."

"And one of the Russian scientists were apparently Recon's parents." said Hange

"Recon?" questioned the former President

"Someone sir, but is that it?" asked Hange

"Yes one more thing." he added, "Don't tell this anyone, don't trust anyone cause you don't know who revealed this kind of thing to the world."

"Understood sir." replied Hange

"Remember, know who your true enemies are." he implied, "This world is full of dark secrets, and Ghost is going deeper and deeper into it. He can't do this alone, but at the same time he can."

He chuckled at what he just said and sighed.

"There might be someone else who can help you with this." said the former President

"Who?" asked Hange

"You should contact Ghost's foster parents." he replied
