Arrested

Jean's POV

We were back in Eldia after destroying all the titan serum and now I'm home resting with Mikasa.

"How long do we have together until you go back?" asked Mikasa

"3 weeks, maybe more." I said

I helped her clean the dishes but Mikasa slightly pulled me away.

"You must be tired, I'll do it." she said

"No you need rest, taking care of two kids must have been tiring." I said

Mikasa chuckled and looked at Damian and Joshua playing some games on the TV.

"How are they in school?" I asked

"They're doing good, not causing any trouble." replied Mikasa

"I thought one of them would be rowdy like me." I said

"Huh?! I lost?! How?! You cheater?!" yelled Damian

"Maybe there is one." I sighed while smiling, "Damian looks like you but has my personality."

Mikasa looked at Damion arguing with Joshua who was just confused to how he won the game.

"Well, I guess they have a good relationship though." I said

"You should have seen Ashley and Eren." said Mikasa

"Huh?" I questioned

"They argue a lot, reminds me of you and Eren back then." she replied

"Eren huh..." I sighed

"Did Eren do something again?" asked Mikasa

"Kind of, but Captain Levi let him do it but I don't know his reasoning." I said

"What did he do?" asked Mikasa

"Killed all the military personnel and IMT in titan form." I said

"He killed the bad guys, that's what he wanted to do." replied Mikasa

"But it was just killing, it was slaughter." I said

Mikasa stayed silent for a while.

"Let's forget about it. Eren's home and Zeke's away so he's probably home, want to go visit?" asked Mikasa

"Uhhhh..."

I didn't know if I wanted to see him, the whole reason there's a 3 week break was because of Eren. But Annie might be dealing with some problems with him but I don't know, after all her children are also suffering from it.

"Dad can I go to Brook's?" asked Joshua

"Why?" I asked

"I need to finish a game with him!" yelled Joshua in determination

'Looks like I have no choice.'

Annie's POV

"Brooks, Ashely you're going to have to share your rooms." I said

"I know." said Brooks

Keegan, Emma and Ellie entered the house all awkward since they haven't been here in a long time, it's been about a year since they've last been here.

"Don't be awkward, just go and have some fun." I said

Ashely looked at Keegan and Keegan looked at Ashley, they both looked awkwardly at each other but they waved. I helped the kids drop their stuff off in their rooms and I decided to let Emily know that they arrived safely so I called her.

"Emily, they got here safely. Your children are playing now." I said through the phone

"Okay thank you for taking care of them, apparently this meeting is important for some reason." replied Emily, "I hope they don't become a bigger burden for you."

"Don't worry, I don't have work for a long time now so it'll be fine for me to take care of them now." I said

"Okay thank you, it'll only be for 2 weeks. I hope you can take care of them. We'll treat you to some food after." said Emily

"No it's fine, it's really fine I'm just trying my best to make up all the help I got from you." I replied

"Oh, it's fine but still we haven't met in a long time so I just wish, you know..." she trailed off a bit

"Is something wrong?" I asked

Emily stayed quiet and I could hear her sigh but her sigh was broken, like as if she was sobbing.

"Ajax, is diagnosed with depression, PTSD and has a lot of suicidal thoughts. Apparently he's been diagnosed with those for a long time." said Emily

I felt sad for Ajax but I understand the pain he's going through.

"Maybe I can help with his treatment, maybe there's some advice I can get from a few friends." I said

"Thank you for the help, I hope he gets better." she replied

"No problem." I replied

"I have to go now, I hope we meet soon." she said

"Okay, bye." I replied

She hung up the phone but once I did I got another phone call from a random number.

"Hello?" I answered

"Eren's coming home, he'll be there in 30 seconds." said a voice

The phone call ended and I was confused about what he just said but all the kids came down to the living room all happy.

'Eren's home?'

The door suddenly opened and there was Eren standing with a dull look on his face. All the kids froze in place and looked at Eren and I could see fear in Keegan's eyes.

"What are you doing here?" asked Eren

Eren slowly approached Keegan and Keegan was slightly trembling.

"Ajax and Emily have a meeting, we'll be taking care of them in the meantime." I replied

"I didn't ask you." snapped Eren

I tightly clenched my fists in anger.

"So, your dad is away huh?" Eren asked Keegan

"Yes, he's away." replied Keegan

"But why's Logan's daughter here? Isn't Riku home doing housework?" asked Eren as he looked at Ellie

"Every single one who was an Ajax's squad during the war had to go to a meeting." I snapped

"I wasn't asking you!" snapped Eren

"I don't care if you weren't asking me!" I yelled

Eren glared at me and sighed.

"Kids go to your rooms." I said

They were about to run away but Eren grabbed Keegan's shoulder.

"You and I need to talk about your father." he said

I slightly gasped, realizing that he might tell Keegan his true identity.

"Keegan, if someone killed a person you love, what would you do to that person?" he asked

'What is he trying to do?'

"I would hurt that person who killed the person I love." Keegan replied

'Is he trying to manipulate him.'

"Exactly, wouldn't you want to kill that person?" he asked

"Eren enough." I said

Eren looked at me and glared at me.

"And if someone you loved betrayed, what would you do?" asked Eren

My eyes widened, realizing what he was referring to.

"I wouldn't love them anymore." he replied

"Exactly my point." said Eren

I wanted to scream and cry but I just couldn't even move. I didn't want to make a scene in front of the kids and I didn't want to frustrate myself anymore.

"You can go now." said Eren

Keegan nodded and left to go to Brook's room leaving Eren and I to stare at each other.

"Am I wrong?" asked Eren

"What are you trying to say?" I asked

He suddenly approached me and I slightly backed up against a wall and he slammed his hand next to my face and leaned in.

"Exactly what I'm trying to say, traitor." he whispered

My eyes widened in fear and guilt started to swell all over me.

"Eren, what are you doing?" I heard a voice to my right

I look to my right to see Jean, Mikasa, Damian and Josh standing at the door. Jean looked pissed off at Eren and Mikasa looked shocked and surprised.

"Why are you here?" asked Eren as he backed up from me.

"Do you really hate her?" asked Jean

"You can say that." he replied

My heart shattered into so many pieces that I fell onto my knees and started sobbing.

"You son of a bitch!" yelled Jean

I heard him punch Eren and a whole fight broke out, Jean punched Eren and he stumbled back but Eren punched Jean in the stomach and then in the face but Jean did a spinning hook kick hitting Eren's jaw and he crashed onto a table.

"Stop it both of you!" I yelled

Mikasa helped the kids up the stairs then Mikasa pulled Jean away from Eren as they were both bruised from the fight.

"Fuck you, you little dipshit." growled Jean

Eren wiped the blood off his lips as his wound healed.

"Why would you do that to your wife?" asked Jean

Eren chuckled and it scared me.

"Think about it Jean..." said Eren

Eren rubbed his knuckles and pointed at me.

"If Russia didn't show up that day, the day when we nearly won the battle of Trost, she would have continued defying me." he said

Jean looks at me then back at Eren.

"Think about it, Marco would have died." said Eren

When Eren said the name Marco, Jean's eyes widened.

"And no one would have known." said Eren, "How many more people would have died if we weren't rescued?"

"That was too long ago." said Jean

Eren scoffed in disbelief.

"Jean, you're as retarded as always." said Eren, "How many things would have happened if they didn't rescue us, they would have came after me for my attack titan powers."

Jean began to get more agitated.

"And who knows what would happen, Reiner, Annie, Bertholdt, any of those traitors could have died by our hands and someone would have taken their powers." said Eren, "Who knows, maybe Armin would have gotten Bertholdt's colossal titan powers."

"Why Armin out of everyone?" asked Jean

"Think about it, I would have sided with Armin if he was one of the people who were to take someone's powers." I said

Jean's fists clenched and he glared at Eren.

"And if Armin does that, maybe I wouldn't have ended up with Annie." he said

"Stop trying to change this into a fucking story, there are a lot of people who would have taken someone's powers. But being saved by the outer world is inevitable." said Jean

"It was inevitable, but timing can't always be the same." said Eren

"Eren, Jean?"

I turned and saw Armin standing at the doorway looking at the destroyed furniture.

"What happened?" asked Armin

Jean stood up straight and wiped the blood off his lips.

"We had an adult talk." replied Jean

Mikasa looked worried and I got back up and wiped my tears away.

"Why are you here?" Eren asked Armin

"I wanted to check up on you." replied Armin

"For what? I'm fine get out of my house." snapped Eren

I didn't want to see Eren like this anymore so I went upstairs and checked on the kids, all of them were in Brook's room so I opened the door and all of them had worried looks on their faces.

"Everything's fine, we're just having some adult talk." I said

They all nodded so I closed the door and went back downstairs to hear Jean arguing with Armin and Eren. Armin was trying to defend Eren but Armin has too much faith in him, even though I'm losing faith in him.

"Armin get this through your fucking head!" yelled Jean

I was about to jump in but then people in military gear barged into my house. All of them pointed their weapons at us except at Eren.

"What the hell is this?" asked Jean

"All of you are under arrest." said a voice

Floch came through and looked at Jean.

"For attacking a commanding officer." replied Floch

Jean's eyes widened but they also arrested Armin.

"Sorry sir, Eren's orders." said Floch

"Since when?" asked Armin all shocked and confused

"Since yesterday." replied Floch

"Eren..." I whispered

But then they handcuffed me as well, they have a huge arm cuff that covers your entire forearm and hands, preventing you from biting yourself. They also put a metal mouth cuff where it prevents you from biting your tongue. I looked at Eren with wide surprised eyes, not understanding what he's trying to do.

"Annie Leonhart, you're under arrest for a crime you did 22 years ago." said Floch

"Then that means you have to arrest the King!" snapped Jean

"He's in his own chambers under custody." said Eren

Armin's eyes widened and Mikasa was also arrested.

"Eren what did you do?" asked Mikasa

"What must be done." he replied

'The kids, who's going to take care of the kids?'

"Who's going to take care of the kids?" asked Jean

That's when the Scouts went upstairs and dragged all the kids out.

"Mom? Dad?" questioned Ashley

"Dad what are you doing?" asked Brooks

"I don't think I've told you this before." said Eren

He approached Brooks who was being held by a Scout.

"Your mother is the reason why my mother was eaten by a titan, Bertholdt broke down two walls, Reiner broke down another wall and Annie led the titans in." said Eren

Brooks' eyes widened and he looked at Ashley.

"You won't be seeing your mom for a long time." he said

I tried fighting back but then someone smacked the back of my head and I began to fall into darkness.
