Break-in

Belial couldn't help but be captivated by the dark coat hanging in the treasure room. Its black fabric was ornate with intricate golden embroidery, and it seemed to emit a peculiar energy that drew him in.

Belial stood lost in thought, fixated on the dark coat hanging on the wall of the treasure room when his companion, Xin, approached him.

"You've been staring at that coat for a while, Bel. It would look great on you,"

he said casually, as he picked up a nearby stone and began tossing it in the air.

Xin's suggestion caught Belial off guard, and he turned to face him with a look of astonishment.

"What? Me? Wearing that coat?"

he asked incredulously, his gaze still fixed on the alluring garment.

Xin chuckled and said,

"Sure, why not? With your build, you'll definitely stand out in a crowd."

"There's something about that coat that just doesn't sit right with me,"

Belial shook his head.

"It's like it's beckoning me, but in a way that's not quite...normal."

Xin raised an eyebrow.

"Not quite right, eh? You're not scared, are you?"

A sly smile appeared on his face.

Belial scowled and shook his head

"Of course not! I just think we should be careful. There's more to that coat than meets the eye."

Xin shrugged indifferently.

"Suit yourself, Bel. But if you change your mind, I'll be right here with a stone in my hand, ready to toss it at anyone who comes near you."

Belial paused, uncertain if he should take the risk of putting on the potentially cursed coat. Despite his reservations, he couldn't deny the pull he felt towards it, as if the coat had a will of its own.

Taking a deep breath, Belial lifted the coat from the wall and slipped it on. As he did, he was enveloped in a wave of power. The coat seemed to fit him perfectly, as if it had been designed just for him.

Belial grinned as he caught his reflection in a nearby mirror.

"Would you just look at that,"

He exclaimed, admiring how the coat fit him.

"It really does suit me!"

Xin's grin widened.

"See, I told you so. Now let's get out of here."

Belial nodded and followed Xin to where the rest of their group was gathered in the center of the room. There were six of them in total. They were tired and bruised from the dungeon, and they had just succeeded in their mission.

As they made their way towards the exit, Sora muttered,

"Hail the supreme monarch ."

Belial's eyes narrowed, suspicion rising in his mind. He knew something wasn't right about Sora, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

Suddenly, Sora launched an attack towards Belial, but Troxl was quick on his feet and jumped in front to block it. Belial watched in horror as Troxl got zapped by Sora's laser and was knocked out cold when he hit the wall.

Belial wanted to go after Sora, but

"We can't leave him here!!"

Xin reminded him standing beside troxl

"Tch". He clicked his tongue

They hurried back to help Troxl

"Damn he's heavy"belial complained.

Belial's mind was racing as they ran. He couldn't believe that Sora, one of their own, had turned traitor. He wondered what other secrets Sora was hiding from them.

"We need to find out everything we can about Sora," Belial said, his voice cold and determined.

Xin nodded in agreement. "But first, we need to get out of here before this place crumbles down on us."

As they emerged from the gate, they saw Sora and his accomplices disappearing into the distance. Belial gritted his teeth, frustration and anger boiling inside him. He had never been one to take things too seriously, but this betrayal had hit too close to home.

"We made it," Xin said, panting heavily.

Belial looked around, taking in the destruction and chaos around them. He knew they were lucky to have escaped with their lives.

But as the gate collapsed, a wave of golden energy washed over the room, knocking Belial and Xin off their feet. They slumped against the wall, panting heavily from the exertion.

"Is he still knocked out?"

Belial asked, referring to their guild mate, Troxl. Xin nodded, still trying to catch his breath.

"We need to wake him up. We have to get out of here."

Belial rose to his feet and approached Troxl, slapping him multiple times to wake him up.

"Ouch! Will you get off of me brat!"

Troxl snarled, as he finally regained consciousness.

"Looks like the sleeping beauty finally awake, we need head back to the guild let's take the train"

Upon reaching the guild, Natalie, the receptionist, greeted them and upon seeing their tired and disordered appearance, led them straight to the president of the guild's office.

Cole paid close attention to their story, his expression growing more serious with every passing moment. Belial's heart raced as he recounted the events of the previous night, the vicious attack leaving him shaken and disoriented.

"I had my suspicions about Sora for a while now,"

Cole said, his voice low and dangerous.

"And I'm now a hundred percent sure he's working for Lex.."

Belial felt his mind racing as he tried to process the information. Sora, one of their own guild members, working for their enemy? It was almost unbearable.

"We still have a scout team in the forest and we still found nothing, but this makes it the second time he attacked you he must be targeting you for something.."

Cole continued, his tone serious.

" I just came to this city just last week, what could he possibly want from me?"

Belial replied, Belial said, his confusion evident. The three of them sat in silence for a few moments, each consumed by their own thoughts.

Cole's words were resolute as he sat up straight, his eyes blazing with purpose.

"We need to find out what he's after,"

he declared, his voice firm.

"And we need to do it fast, until then you two stay safe."

Belial and Xin both nodded in agreement, and they quickly began making their way out of the guild.

As they ambled down the busy sidewalk, Xin caught a glimpse of Belial checking his reflection in the shop windows. Something was off.

"Hey, didn't you have a moon-shaped hair clip or something in your hair?"

Xin asked, eyeing Belial curiously.

Belial hastily swept his fingers through his hair, but they came up empty, causing a wave of panic to wash over him.

"Nononono, crap,"

He muttered, his eyes darting around frantically.

"Is it that important?"

Xin asked, sensing Belial's distress.

"Yeah, it is. And we need to find it,"

Belial said, his mind racing as he ran off.

"Bel! Wait up!"

Xin called after him, his heart pounding.

The two of them searched the city for hours, scouring every corner and alleyway, but they found nothing. As the sun began to set, they returned home, exhausted and defeated.

Belial sank onto the couch, his head in his hands. Xin perched on the arm of the chair, watching him.

"What's so important about that hair clip?"

Xin finally asked. Belial hesitated for a moment, then sighed.

"I.. I can't tell you, It's.. it's a secret"

he said hesitating with every word he spoke

"But I can't just buy another one. That's why it's so special."

Xin frowned, but he could tell that Belial didn't want to talk about it any further. He decided to change the subject.

"We can look again tomorrow,"

Xin said, stretching his arms.

"I'm going to take a quick bath first, though."

"Sure,"

Belial said absently, lost in thought.

He went up to the balcony, looking at the city lights and enjoying the view. The hustle and bustle of the city was always calming for him. He took a deep breath of the fresh air, taking in all the sounds and the beauty of the night. However, his peaceful moment was cut short.

As he saw a silver figure jumping from building to building heading south from where he was. He quickly grabbed his coat but paused for a bit he felt a familiar energy on it but it felt like it was his even before he got it from the raid, he shakes his head and grabbed his katana and jumped off to a roof stealthily following her.

The figure was fast and agile, but he managed to keep up with her. He watched as she moved gracefully through the city, jumping from one rooftop to the next. He had never seen anyone move like her before. He wondered who she was and what she was doing.

As he followed her, he noticed that she had something in her hand. It was small and shiny, and it seemed to be very important to her. He watched as she stopped on a rooftop and examined the object closely. It was then that he realized what it was. It was his.

"So it was her that took it," Belial thought to himself as he followed the girl through the city streets. He had been searching for her ever since his hair clip had gone missing. He had scoured the markets and questioned everyone he could find, but it wasn't until now that he had finally caught up with her.

As he watched her stop at a mansion and land on the glass rooftop, Belial couldn't believe his eyes as she pulled out a small blade and cut the glass like it was butter.

He knew he had to be careful if he was

going to catch her.

With cat-like agility, she used the edge of the hole to swing herself inside the edge of the hole to swing herself inside the mansion, perfectly landing on top of a small statue. Belial knew he had to act tast.

As the girl sprayed the floor with a substance that revealed lasers, Belial released a small blast of dark energy and knocked the spray on the floor.

The girl turned around, and Belial was surprised to see that she was wearing a blindfold. "Oh, it's you," she said with a sly grin. "I was wondering when you'd show up."

Belial raised an eyebrow. "You know who l am?"

"Of course," she replied. "You're the rookie hunter , who lost his precious hairclip."

Belial's eyes narrowed. "You stole it from

me."

The girl shrugged. "I prefer the term

'borrowed without permission."

Belial's eyes narrowed as he felt his own power surging within him. "I don't want to fight you, but I will if I have to," he said, his voice low and dangerous.

The two stood facing each other, the tension between them palpable, as he prepared to fight her.

Suddenly, the girl burst out laughing, her blade clattering to the ground.

Belial was taken aback by the sudden outburst. "What's so funny?"

"Seriously, you're too easy," she managed to say between fits of laughter.

Belial stood there confused . "What do you mean?"

The girl composed herself and wiped away a tear. "Here, take your stupid hair clip back," she said, tossing the clip at him.

"By the way, the name 's Luna . I'Il see you around, handsome~."

Belial caught the clip and watched as she disappeared into the night. He had a feeling that he hadn't seen the last of her, but he pushed the thought aside.

Moments passed and a guard came up to the door and saw Belial.

"Hey! What are you doing here!" said the guard as he was getting ready to draw his weapon.

The sound of the gunshot echoed through the corridor as Belial's body instinctively reacted to the threat. He felt the bullet strike his jacket but it repelled off harmlessly. Belial's mind raced as he assessed the situation. He knew he had to act fast to escape.

Without thinking, Belial quickly jumped up to the hole that he had dropped in from. The guard, startled by Belial's sudden movement, fired another shot. But it was too late, Belial was already out of sight.
