Assassin from Abyss

Kei, a former Yakuza, transmigrates in this universe of mayhem as a humanoid beast and finds himself entangled in a labyrinth of conspiracy and malevolence .He embraces his inner darkness and fights evil with evil using his criminal mind and previous life experience as he hones his domain abilities. Ruthless and sharp as a dagger, he cuts through enemies and obstacles in his way as he pierces through layer after layers and delves into greater depths to seek his goals. He is helped in his journey by Epoch , an artificial intelligence installed in his brain , who is both an asset and a liability. A ticking time bomb .. He is a true rogue at heart. ) Author here : I am a fan of world building and character caricature so if you expect action at initial chapters you wont find any until you read a bit more . Domain Affinity
The audience cheered and clapped at the announcement and the affinity testing ceremony initiated .
The rakshasa adolescents who had successfully awakened their bestial bloodline and were now seated on the first, second and third floors of the amphitheater were called one by one as per their room allotment number .
Marat from the nobility , of room one, walked up on the glass platform through the stairs.
" Place your hand on the skull and focus your mind on it " a council guard standing near the stairs said .
As Marat kept his hand on the crystal skull it started to shine, and a full golden circle emerged on the glass floor on where he was standing . It was visible to every eye on the amphitheater.
" Marat has shown his affinity in martial prowess , he is to join the temple of Bellicus, located at the center of our capital, one week from now ." Cecil, a high priest's voice echoed .
As Marat left the stage , Nessa from the nobility of room 3 was called upon .
As Nessa kept her hands on the crystal skull , two concentric circles one blue and one white formed on the glass platform .
"Nessa has shown dual domain affinity , the inner white circle shows her core affinity in air domain and the outer blue circle shows her water domain affinity . But she can choose any one temple for now . She will be permitted to join both temples once she attains master level in any one domain.
If Nessa chooses to join the Temple of Auran located at Whistling valley or if she chooses to join the Temple of Aquan located on the Unda Island, she has to report to the council within two days and we will arrange for her transportation . She will be escorted by council guards who will safely escort her to her training temple . " a voice of one of the high priests echoed .
Cheers and applauses were heard from the audience as Nessa left the platform . Some adolescent female rakshasas, sitting on the 1st floor, looked at Nessa intently with jealousy .
The affinity testing ceremony continued on.
" Zakhar from the nobility, room no 25, has shown his affinity in the fire domain. He is to join the Temple of Ignan located on the Impes Valley on the jagged mountain range . He will also have to report within two days to the council from where he will be safely escorted to his temple by the council guards. "
" Yaakov from nobility to Temple of Bellicus .."
" Yuri from nobility to Temple of Ignan .."
" Mellor from nobility to Temple of Aquan ..
" Ardalion from nobility, room no 52, shows affinity in Earth domain , he is to join the temple of Terran located on the Creta Valley at the foothills of the jagged mountains . He is to report in two days…"
Kei was curiously absorbing in all that was going on in front of his eyes , he had grown accustomed to expect things defying reasonable logic in this world and had started to enjoy it .
Still, his mind remained tensed as his turn was slowly approaching and instinctively he looked for escape routes and devised escape plans to flee ,if he failed .
" Rurik from nobility has shown affinity in death domain , he is to join the Temple of Inmortui located on an islet on the screaming sea . He has to leave tomorrow morning with the grand cleric of his temple, failing which he will not be further granted entry into the temple . "
Rurik looked towards the sitting grand clerics and the cleric in dark purple apparel ,who was previously eyeing Kei , stood up and sat down . Rurik nodded and left the platform .
Kei also noticed this .
"Marat from the commoners, now from the nobility, has shown affinity in shadow domain . He is to join the Temple of Caedis located at the outer regions of the Cruentus Rainforest at about two weeks from now. He has to come to the training temple alone without any help from any guards or mercenaries . This is a prior condition for admittance inside the temple ,failing which he will not be permitted entry ." Cecil's voice echoed.
Kei felt quite surprised hearing this condition but he was able to guess the reason from his experiences of past life .
" Ulyana from nobility to Temple of Inmortui ..
"Rada from nobility to Temple of Caedis….."
" Kaiser from room 100 , come to the platform and test your affinity ." All eyes turned towards Kaiser as he slowly approached , the sharp jade piece hidden in his left hand like a weapon.
