Stained by the Man's Blood

I saw a man standing not so far from us.

I noticed that Renji's body temperature is rising. I can see steams coming out from him while he is staring at the man in front of us.

Is he scared or is he angry? Can he sense bad people?

"You're supposed to die back there if that Terra kid did not interfere. Who would have thought he can corner my friend and stop him from reaching you? Now he is dead, thanks to you"

He said those words with remorse. I can feel his hatred but I felt no pain.

I felt anger coursing through my veins.

If it were not for Adam, I could have been dead by now. And I even tried to save that guy from Adam. I protected the man who planned to kill me.

"How ironic. The guy who planned to kill me was killed by me. Isn't that awesome?" I said while smirking.

His facial expression changed. He, now, looked like he is ready to devour his enemy.

I haven't sobered up with my last fight yet. I can still remember the pain I felt when Joseph wounded me. Go on. I am ready.

"Uhm," I looked at the guy I am with. I almost forgot about him!

"What? Aren't you going to help me?" I asked him.

"That's your fight" he simply replied. What?! I can't believe him!

"You are my only target. But I don't mind killing two birds" the man said and prepared to attack.

I looked back at him and raised my brows. He shrugged his head as if telling me that he will not still help me.

Great.

I put my bag on the ground and gave him Renji. I told him to take care of him until I am done. I don't feel like losing right now and I am all fired up!

I distanced myself from them and search for my enemy but he is nowhere to be found.

Did he got scared and ran off?

I looked around but I still can't see him. This place is all white and endless but I can't spot him.

I looked at the dark magic user guy as if I was asking where did my enemy go but he seems unbothered while playing with Renji.

Oh, come on!

I looked around once more and decided to use my sensum but even before I was able to use it, something hit my stomach.

I lost my breath for a while and I can feel the pain in my abdomen. I want to throw a punch at the one who attacked me but he quickly disappeared.

He is using his spatial magic to disappear at his will!

"I can control my movements here. I can easily kill you in here. But that would be no fun." I can hear him talk but I can't see him.

My sensum is not working great due to the punch he gave me.

I can't make the same mistake again. I can't lose again.

I regained my composure after a while and took a deep breath.

I tracked his movements using my sensum but I can only see vague shadows.

My thoughts were interrupted when he attacked me again at my back.

I turned to his directions but he disappeared again.

He started laughing like a lunatic.

"I'm going to torture you until you beg for my forgiveness," he said while hiding in his spatial magic.

"Why would I beg forgiveness to a man who���s coward enough to hide. Are you afraid I might kill you with one strike like I did to your friend?" I teased him.

What happened to his friend was purely unintentional but might as well use it against him.

"You bitch!" he attacked me again in my face. I was able to evade it but not completely.

He attacked me again in my stomach but I blocked it using my hands. I'm not going to let you hit me as you like!

He disappeared again and it became silent for a moment.

I need him to attack a few more times so I can confirm something. My victory will depend on his moves.

"What? You're done? I can't even feel any pain from your attacks!" I shouted making sure he can hear it.

I need him to get out of his hiding place because I cannot defeat him if he keeps on disappearing.

I can feel something coming from my back so I moved my body sideward. I saw him throwing a punch at my back but he missed. I was about to grab his arm but he disappeared again.

Damn! He moves like a rat!

"You are so arrogant yet you can't hit me even once," he said and it became silent again.

My sensum is not working well against his spatial magic. I can't track his movements and I can only see vague shadows moving around.

Anytime now, he will throw another attack.

"Here!" I did not notice that I voiced my thoughts out.

I felt a strong pressure coming for my stomach. But before he can hit me, I was able to punch him in the face with my blazing hands.

He flinched and was not able to disappear quickly due to shock. His face was burned a little and there is smoke coming from it like it was being grilled.

"You can only attack me on my stomach, back, and my head. I know your moves already." I said.

He just glared at me but before he could even disappear again, I lashed my blazing whip and strangle him with it.

The heat from the whip is burning his skin but he did not show any sign of pain. He just stared at me with his hateful eyes.

"It's not my intention to kill your friend," I told him with full of sincerity.

"I was trying to save him but my body released too much fire. I was not able to control it because I can't. Sorry." I loosened the whip so that he can breathe properly.

He stopped struggling and looked down. I feel really sorry for his loss. If I only knew how to control my power back then, I could have stopped myself from exploding.

I was about to make my whip disappear but he suddenly got out from my grip and elbowed me on my stomach.

I was not able to move for a moment so he got the chance to distance himself where my whip can't reach him.

"Save your sorry for later. I'm going to kill you first!" he said and rushed to me.

I quickly stood up but before he could even reach me, a dragon-like creature a little bit bigger than the man appeared in front of me and bit his head off.

The white and endless dimension slowly returned to being a forest and the blood from the man's neck was gushing like a broken water pipe.

The dragon-like creature suddenly disappeared together with the head and I was left there dumbfounded.

My body was stained with the man's blood but I was too stunned to even move.

I looked at the headless body in front of me that is still trembling.

I can't seem to absorb everything so I stared at the lifeless body like I was just looking at a statue.

What happened?

The grass around the body turned red and I can feel my sweats dripping.

I wiped the sweat in my face but instead of seeing clear water, I saw a red one.

I trembled in fear upon digesting everything that happened.

I looked at my hands and my body that is now covered with bloodstains from my enemy. I looked around me and saw the guy staring at me.

His face looked worried and he came rushing to me, covering my body with his jacket.

What just happened?

I can't speak. I can't move. I can't…

"Bloody hell! Freya!" I searched for the familiar voice and saw a tall guy with other people running towards me.

"Adam…��� I was able to utter his name but I can no longer say anything.

When he arrived, he ordered one of his mates to do something and after a minute, I felt cold water pouring above me cleaning the blood around my body.

"I…" why can't I say anything? Why won't my tongue move?

"What happened here?" I heard Adam asked but he was looking at the guy I am with.

He probably noticed that I am still in shock and talking to me is useless.

I heard them talk and he explained everything starting from the hole up to the death of the man that is laying in front of me.

"Can you walk?" Adam asked me and I nodded.

I stood up while he was supporting me, making sure I won't fall.
