"I am here"

I looked at the guy whom I entrusted Renji with but he just shrugged when he noticed I was looking for Renji.

I took a deep breath to calm myself from what happened earlier. My body was free from the man's blood already, thanks to Adam's companion who is an Aqua.

I freed myself from Adam's grip and walked started to look for Renji. I can hear Adam calling me but I did not look back. I need to find Renji or else my mission will be compromised.

"Where are you going?" the guy who uses dark magic came to me and asked.

"I need to find the baby dragon or else I can't go back to Aspiera" I simply said and continued walking.

He went to the other direction but I don't know what he will do. I don't have time for him.

Few moments later, I saw Renji cleaning itself under a tree not so far from my spot where the man's head was bitten off.

I carried him and noticed that there are blood spots in the area where he was cleaning himself.

Did he… did he turned into a bigger dragon and bit someone's head and turned back into being a baby?

I returned to Adam with Renji sleeping in my shoulder. I saw the other guy and I saw him exhaled after seeing Renji.

I took my things and Adam's mate took care of the headless body. He covered it with a cloth and it suddenly disappeared. I don't know where it went but I don't care anymore.

Few minutes later, we saw the entrance.

It's hard to spot it if you are not using your sensum. Maybe that's the reason why I can't easily spot it earlier.

"What happened earlier? Before we came?" Adam asked me.

He kept quiet so I can easily calm myself. But maybe his curiosity is bothering him.

"When we spotted abnormalities in your area earlier, I gathered all the mage who were near you and we hurried to know what's happening. The only thing we saw is you bathing in blood and a headless man and also Drew" Who is Drew? The dark magic user?

"You made me worried. Your face looks so horrified so I rushed to you quickly" who wouldn't look horrified seeing someone's head being bitten off? I saw the blood spurting like a shower! I was just glad I did not puke.

"Remember the guy you fought before meeting me?" I asked him.

We are already inside Aspiera and we are now crossing the bridge.

"The one you accidentally killed?" he asked.

"Yes."

"I remember him of course. Why?"

"The headless man and the man I accidentally killed are friends. He came here to take revenge on me." I explained to him.

"Bad guys have friends too? That's surprising!" he sarcastically said.

"Sorry. I was just… I was so worried about you. I thought you were badly injured and the blood was yours. I don't know what I would do if I see you losing your life. I can't even imagine it. I don't want ti imagine it." I looked at him and I can see in his face how much he was worried.

"I am alive. I am not badly injured. And I am here" I said while smiling.

He stopped and hugged me so tight even though I am soaking wet from earlier. A hug from a brother. I did the same and tears came flowing in.

I was so scared earlier. seeing someone die in front of me made my flesh tremble. The moment he was decapitated and the warm blood reached my skin, my body froze.

"Shhh. I am here. You are safe already. Sorry for letting you suffer alone" he said in a very calming voice.

I just cried in his shoulder without caring about anyone. My emotions burst all at once.

We stayed at that position for a minute and decided to go to the Elder's House to report for my mission.

Adam left when I told him that I am already fine and I can do it alone. He also has his duties to attend and I don't want him to care for me the whole day. I am not a baby.

I gave the documents to John. I also presented him Renji who is now playing with Drew. He is also here to report his mission.

Everyone in the room seemed distant to Drew and won't go near him. Why?

"Calm down everyone, that little dragon is tamed" John suddenly said.

Oh. So, it was not because of Drew but Renji?

"You are afraid of a baby dragon?" I asked John in surprised. He is also maintaining his distance from Renji.

"Who is not? He can transform into a bigger dragon if he can sense harm and he will start biting everyone near him" he explained.

That just answered my question about the man's death. So, it was Renji who saved me.

"Fortunately, you tamed him" it was not me. it was Joseph. You know that.

John sealed the documents with the Aspiera's logo and put it on one of the shelves.

I gave him Renji but he refused and said I can take care of him for a while until they can return Renji to his family.

He also told me that Renji got separated from his family who is living at the foot of a volcano because he wandered too much. But I don't remember Aspiera having a volcano.

After everything was settled, I got out of the house together with Drew who is still holding Renji.

"You showed mercy earlier" Drew suddenly said after stepping out of the house.

I smiled bitterly.

"I guess I am just naturally kind-hearted" I said to him.

I told myself not to make the same mistake again after my fight with Joseph. I told myself not to pity my enemies because they might have killed many innocent people before. But I guess I can't. For now.

"I am Drew. I don't actually talk to people except my childhood friend Astrid" that is probably the longest sentence he said since we met.

"You are talking to me now" I simply said.

"…and except you too" he added. I looked at him and smiled widely. I feel honored!

"I am Freya."

We shook hands and continued walking.

"Hey, I still can't forget that you did not help me earlier," I said while glaring at him.

"It's not my fight and you are strong enough to defeat him. I don't want to interfere unless you are in the brink of your death"

Wow. What an honest answer. I don't know if I should be happy with the compliment or I should be alarm with his last statement.

"I got to go. I've been away for a few months and all I want to do now is lay in my bed" he gave me Renji and went ahead.

I went home as well to have a shower. My body looks clean but I can smell the blood in my body.

When I arrived, I saw Avah with her parents waiting for me inside. They felt relieved upon seeing me without any injuries.

"Adam told us what happened and you got me all worried! I can't believe someone brave and foolish enough tried to ambush you in front of the entrance!" Aunt Marie scanned my body once more.

"Were you hurt?" Uncle Andrew asked me but I just shrugged my head and smiled at him.

Avah came to me and hugged me but she quickly stays away.

"You stink!" she complained while covering her nose.

We just laughed and they let me take a shower. They told me to visit their house to have dinner so I obliged.

I wore the most comfortable clothes I found in my closet and hurried to their place.

It's already seven in the evening and I am starving since I forgot to eat lunch before going back here.

When I reached their house, I can finally smell the delicious meal they prepared.

"You don't feel like crying anymore? I still have my other shoulder" he teasingly said.

"Ha-ha! Funny!" I sarcastically said and pushed him out of my way.

I went to the kitchen when I saw Avah preparing the table. Aunt and Uncle hugged me the moment the saw me.

After everything was prepared, we started digging in.

Nothing can beat a home-cooked meal with your loved ones.
