Essex: "Reconsider it?" "Does that mean then that this is a peaceful and pressure-free negotiation?" Asked Essex, who as an old villain understood the way of talking that Darkseid was using,

Everyone was waiting for Darkseid's answer.

Darkseid: "Mmmm... you weren't listening to me in the previous words when I said...

His intentions had been made clear, and they weren't exactly peaceful. So everyone, just sigh. become ready for an imminent battle... of words.

Someone who had managed to do the unthinkable impossible and who seemed to know more about them than themselves... someone who seemed impossible to defeat despite having what they have. 

Darkseid: "Hahaha, as I expected

And soon he was sweating like hell, breathing very hard for him as he had some horrified looks, and if something didn't happen soon, he would die of suffocation. There's blood coming out of his eyes, and you can hear cracking sounds from time to time. 

On the other side, Darkseid just ate without even glancing at Charles, and he was not alone as Laura and Madelyn just ate in peace, and just like their lover, both didn't even look at him, but Domino was somewhat different. 

She looked at him and wanted to stand up and help, but she stopped herself. As she ate Emma, Erik, Raven, Nathaniel, Wanda, Pietro Sebastian Shaw, Harry Leland, and Mastermind Jason Wyngarde, Trevor Fitzroy, Blob, Pyro, Avalanche, and Black Tom, Mastermind, just like Domino after a glance and a heavy sigh... they continued to eat. 

As they can only blame him for outrage, as when Mother Fucking Cosmic Being is sitting with them and answering their questions in the ways so they all could understand why he had to be a hero and scream the word freedom in front of someone who doesn't give a shit. 

Logan, Scott, Jean, Kitty, Rogue, Kurt, Alex, Ororo, Bobby, Angle, Xorn, Forge, David Alleyne, Moira, and every student wanted to stand up and help him do something, but they felt pressure on them that had them sinking even deeper in their chairs.

And just before he lost consciousness, he found he could breathe, even if the pressure was still on his body. He could finally draw some breath.

And you were not the one who would be sitting in front of me talking all this through; there would be someone else who got the offer. It doesn't matter what you choose, as you would be under me now. The question is, do you want this with or without a leash? And you should feel lucky to have me, as I am someone who likes to talk if possible, and as you speak a lot about freedom, you should understand what the word means even though I am not free. 

Darkseid said he was not sorry at all as he hurt their pride, self-care, self-esteem, and self-confidence, and everything just got destroyed with just a few words. Their whole world came crashing at them, knowing full well they were not alone, nor were they any special. Only a few words showed them the true face of reality, and this was enough to create self-doubt and a deep understanding of their lives and the circumstances. Just a few hard and cold truths were enough for them to change the way they think...

I'm terribly sorry for last few short chapters, I know both quantity and quality on their worsts but I was really tired as you know the year is coming to an end so we literally have to handle ten to 20 tenders per person. while writing this chapter. We Will get back to normal chapter length when we had less work to do.

It would have been so easy to write this on laptop but you know it's not a small thing lest for a middle-class family Sigh forge that see you hope you all are well and soon I would hold a QNA you could ask anything and I would try my best to answer it.

Hope I still get powerstones... Sigh...
