Vol. 05 Ch. 10 – Yellow Monkey

An admiral is a second-highest rank in the Marine organization, senior to Vice-Admiral and junior to fleet admiral. Only three admirals were serving at any given time, and as the strongest Marine officers, they were among the most powerful characters in the Three Great Powers. The three admirals are Sakazuki with the code name Akainu (Red Dog), the second is Kuzan with the code name Aokiji (Blue Pheasant), and the last is Borsalino with the code name Kizaru (Yellow Monkey).

What made the three admirals quite tough was that they all had the power of a Logia-type Devil Fruit, Akainu with Magma-Magma Fruit, Aokiji with Ice-Ice Fruit, and Kizaru with Glint-Glint Fruit. All of their powers were extremely destructive, even when compared to a typical Logia user. They are all strong enough to fight Whitebeard alone even though they can't win from him.

The last time Arthur met Aokiji when he was still a Vice-Admiral and was able to defeat him because Aokiji didn't know about Art-Art Fruit and he was off guard. And this time, when Arthur broke into Impel Down, Fleet Admiral Sengoku ordered Admiral Kizaru to arrest Arthur.

Magellan: "Don't let him escape!"

Guard: "However, Chief Warden Magellan, we can't do anything in this body." The guards who turned into LEGO-men could do nothing at Magellan's orders.

Arthur: "No need to thanks me because I didn't want to take many lives at will because you guys weren't strong enough to make me pull my sword out of its sheath." Arthur continued walking leaving LEGO-man running around in panic.

Nothing could stop Arthur's footsteps until he finally reached the surface and saw the gate when he first entered Impel Down. Without Arthur touching it, the gate opened with a light that dazzled Arthur's eyes. And Arthur knew that trouble had come, Admiral Kizaru finally arrived before Arthur.

Borsalino: "Fuh ... looks like I made it in time." Borsalino stood straight and smiled with both hands in his trousers pockets.

Arthur: "Finally you came, I've been waiting for you. I think this is the first time we've met, Admiral Kizaru, Glint-Glint Fruit user. Sengoku will definitely send you because of your speed." Arthur also smiled seeing Borsalino who was standing casually with a smile.

Borsalino: "You waiting for me? Actually, the one who really wanted to come was Sakazuki, but because Sengoku-san wanted reinforcements to come quickly he ordered me. And it seems that Sengoku-san is not wrong, I'm almost too late if I don't bring the Eternal Pose. Fuh ... "Admiral Kizaru sighed with an expression like he was very tired.

Arthur: " Will you let us leave here in peace? I have good tea and some delicious snacks for you if you want." Arthur joined Admiral Kizaru's lazy nature.

Borsalino: "Oh… that's a nice offer. But unfortunately, I have to catch you now and we can have a casual chat after that. Have you ever been kicked with the speed of light? " Admiral Kizaru asked with raising his shining legs.

The Glint-Glint Fruit is a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create, control, and transform into light at will, turning the user into a Man of Light. Thus, Borsalino is able to take advantage of light-based attacks. Such attacks range from firing laser beams from his hands, fingers, or feet which capable of causing massive explosions to partial transformations that allow physical attacks linked to the speed of light, which can cause devastating damage.

After the light at Admiral Kizaru's feet became even more dazzling, he suddenly disappeared from his place because he was moving fast. But Arthur swiftly raised his hand coated with Busoshoku Haki and parried Admiral Kizaru's kick in a relaxed manner.

Arthur: "Oioi, it hurts." This was the first time Arthur had fought someone so fast, but he could still overcome it with his Kenbunshoku Haki.

Borsalino: "Don't lie." Admiral Kizaru felt that this kick could not break through Arthur's Busoshoku Haki defense.

Arthur: "My turn." Arthur immediately hit Admiral Kizaru in the stomach where he immediately turned into light and reappeared a few meters from Arthur.

Borsalino: "Fuh~ ... It hurts." Admiral Kizaru easily moved at the speed of light to avoid Arthur's attack.

Arthur: "Don't lie, but sorry, I can't stay with you a long time, so I have to get serious now, [Art's Room]."

Admiral Kizaru, who must have mastered Kenbunshoku Haki, felt something come out from Arthur's body and moved rapidly to spread around. Arthur's devil fruit has also been discovered by the Marine through Rosinante. Except for full-body Busoshoku Haki, just by avoiding the clouds is the way to overcome the Art-Art Fruit ability. Admiral Kizaru was forced to retreat and fly out to avoid Arthur's [Art's Room]. Admiral Kizaru was also forced to use long-range attacks that might damage the Impel Down building.

Borsalino: "[Yasakani no Magatama]" Admiral Kizaru crossed his arms in front of him and used both hands to shoot a blast of deadly light particles at Arthur.

Arthur: "Hem, it's Muda! Muda! Muda!" Arthur with his Kenbunshoku Haki can avoid all attacks from Admiral Kizaru.

Borsalino: "[Yata no Kagami]"

Seeing that long-range attacks are useless to bring down Arthur, Admiral Kizaru must use his speed to attack Arthur without stopping because if Arthur gets the chance then he will be the target of Art-Art Fruit. Admiral Kizaru formed a light between his hands and reflected it in the air where he then turned into the light to arrive behind Arthur.

With a light-speed kick making Arthur thrown into the sea which will be very dangerous for Devil Fruit users. Arthur was thrown far enough but before falling into the sea, Arthur created a foothold so that makes him able stand on the water, much like Admiral Aokiji's ability to ride his bike over the sea. Even though Arthur received the attack but that was precisely what Arthur had been waiting for.

Borsalino: "Oyah ..." Admiral Kizaru immediately noticed the appearance of the handcuff bracelet on his leg and he couldn't use his devil fruit ability.

Arthur: " I still don't want to kill you besides I just want to test my speed with yours. I definitely don't want to fight you when I board Athena. I'm not sure I can protect the others while we have serious battles. That's why I'm waiting for you here." Arthur balanced his footing on the sea and cleaned his clothes while glaring at Admiral Kizaru.

Borsalino: "Oi, this is bad." Admiral Kizaru knows that without his devil fruit his strength is only equivalent to that of Vice-Admiral because he is too dependent on his devil fruit.

Arthur: "I know that you weren't alone coming here, so I had to go after give your present and because the others were waiting for me. As a farewell, [Nitoryu: Cross-Hatching]. " The flying cross slash shot towards the entrance of Impel Down where Admiral Kizaru was.

Arthur runs with the foothold line he creates on the sea surface to return to Athena. He knew that Fleet Admiral Sengoku would not be sending Admiral Kizaru alone and that there must be a fleet of battleships heading here. Even though he had already made preparations at Impel Down, he didn't want to regret it so he wanted to return to Athena immediately. As long as those who follow Admiral Kizaru are only normal Vice-Admiral or Rear Admiral, Robin and the others can hold on until Arthur returns if the marine managed to overcome Arthur's preparations sooner than he expected, but Arthur hopes that it is not Vice-Admiral Garp who comes.
