"No one knows how magic originated but there are stories that the people of old were gifted an egg by the gods themselves and when it hatched it brought this energy along with it this energy is mana the source of all magic.  The mana mutated all living animals and people around the hatching changing them giving them strange abilities and allowing them to wield magic but it didn't just bring magic. It brought about the Arcenyx monsters made of pure power they crawled out of the egg and began destroying all in their path. The monsters were powerful and ruthless but some were more so than others the first and most powerful ones were able to level entire nations in seconds we called them the arcane ones. They represented the ten fundamental elements of magic water, earth, fire, air, life, death, moon, sun, sky, and darkness. They plunged the world into the first Armageddon but luckily the newfound mutants also harnessed the power of the elements by studying and imitating the monsters. Using this newfound power they subdued the arcane ones and scattered the rest of the Arcenyx. They became the great races and gave themselves names according to their characteristics there were the sirens, elves, dryads, jinn, vampires, changelings, ogres, harpies, chimera, and the gnomes but not all people were changed though, some people remained the same and gathered to form a later faction of humans along with a few factions of mutated to that were too small to form nations. They co-existed but this era of peace was short-lived as the races grew hostility towards each other and eventually a great war ensued that brought about the second Armageddon. The war had casualties and races like the elves and changelings were almost completely wiped out apart from a few survivors. After the war, the races settled down and the great nations decided to form a council to govern each other's affairs and this brought about another era of peace….".

"Lady Elissa is that the era we are in now," said a little girl who smiled brightly.

"Yes Illira now you all need to go to bed you have a lot of chores to do in the morning" Replied Elissa as she started tucking the children in their beds.

"Lady Elissa I can't wait to start magic training" Said Illira.                                    

"Yeah says the elf who can't even create a puff of smoke, I'll be surprised if they let you in" replied a white-haired boy who sat upon his bed.                                                      

"Hey Felix that wasn't nice," said Elissa as she noticed the embarrassed blush on Illira's little face.                          

Suddenly there was a knock on the door then Lady Elissa went to go open it "Lady Elissa the lord summons you" said a maid clutching her neck with her maid uniform stained red with blood  'I wonder why the Lord prefers her blood to mine she's so old' the maid thought to herself while staring rudely at the woman.

"I'll join him right away," said Elissa then turned around to tell the children to go to bed once more she then blew out the candles and shut the door. She then began the long journey to the lord's chambers. When she was done moving through the dark lonely corridors she reached the large ornate doors of the lord's room she knocked to hear him promptly open the doors for her she stepped into the room shut the door and was prompted to remove the scarf on her neck to reveal the scars bruises on her neck and swayed her head to the right positioning herself for him to drink from her "Not tonight"  said the handsome dark-haired man which confused her seeing her confusion he sai,d "Do you know why I favor your blood ".

"You told me it's because I'm quarter elf right" replied Elissa still confused by his question.

"Yes and for that reason I want to preserve you because the council won't let me get my hands on elves to indulge this little fetish of mine and your blood is the next best thing "Immediately he said that he picked up a cup on the table and said " Drink" she took the cup and took one gulp and in the flash of an eye he snapped her neck.
