Part 12 - Look Closer

While Silver is interrogated by Mylo and Ekko, Lucy and Caitlyn stare at the red haired girl inside of the cell in front of them. Violet. "Vi..you're alive!" Lucy tears up, as she rushes to the prison bars and holds onto them.

Vi quickly does the same. "Ofcourse I'm alive." Vi responds to Lucy, while Vi covers Lucys hand with her own. The two lean their foreheads against eachother, while they smile with tears coming from their eyes.

Caitlyn stands by with an awkward expression. Suddenly she clears her throat, to break up the moment between Lucy and Vi. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but I'm here to ask you a few questions." Caitlyn says to Vi, as she moves in closer to the cell. As Caitlyn spoke to her, Vi seemed to be scoping her out. Looking her up and down, and observing her.

"Who are you?" Vi asks Caitlyn with a non polite tone. "I'm Caitlyn. An enforcer of Piltover. I understand that recently you beat one of the inmates. Why did you?" Caitlyn asks Vi, while looking at her with focused eyes.

Vi turns her eyes to look at Lucy for a split second, before averting her attention back to Caitlyn. "Simple. He was annoying me." Vi responds, though she finds it incredibly hard to focus on the questions. "I'm sorry, why are the two of you together?"

Lucy and Caitlyn make eye contact with one another. Afterwards, Lucy looks towards Vi with sympathetic and nearly saddened eyes. "It's about a blue haired girl we both know.." Lucy confesses to Vi, with eyes of sadness and regret.

Moments later, Caitlyn, Vi, and Lucy walk throughout the crowded areas of the Undercity. Lucy broke down what's happened with Jinx thus far. Now, Vi is dressed in much more comfortable attire. While walking around, Vi has slight disappointment on her face. "I can't believe this place. It's so much different than the Topside" Caitlyn says with a slight smile, as she looks around the area.

Suddenly, her smile begins to drop. "But if you both know this blue haired girl, why don't you tell me who she is so we can turn her in to the proper authorities." Caitlyn proposes to Vi and Lucy, making them stop walking, and slowly turn around to look at her in sync.

Caitlyns eyes wonder off in an awkward manner, as Vi and Lucy stare at her. "Orrr I'll tell you what. You just sit back, relax, and let me talk her." Vi walks extremely close to Caitlyn with those words that come out fairly smooth. "These are Undercity matters." Vi adds.

"Not when people from the Topside are being killed it's not. Why do you want to protect her anyways?" Caitlyn questions, and the moment she does, Vis face drops and so does her head. "She must be someone close to you." Caitlyn adds with more sympathetic eyes, while watching Vi. Not only sympathy, but also conflicted feelings of what to do next.

Lucy slowly walks in front of Caitlyn, and besides Vi. "There's a lot more going on down here than the blue haired girl that we know. The reason I even told you about her in the first place, is because I trusted you to be one of the good enforcers. Either that, or I'm just so desperate and don't know what to do." Lucy speaks to Caitlyn in a soft tone. Caitlyns eyes begin to grow more conflicted, and it becomes clear when she finds it hard to keep eye contact with Lucy.

"When I was following the blue haired girl earlier, I did that because I wanted to stop what she was possibly going to do. It sucks that I was too late. But here we are anyways. Maybe it sucks that it had to be you, but we're here now. You may get in trouble for helping us, but trust me when I say that it's the right thing to do." Lucy says to Caitlyn, and Caitlyns hesitant eyes slowly starts to break.

"Thank you again..for saving me." Caitlyn thanks Lucy, while looking at her with a small smile that appears.

Instantly Vis eyes widen. A teasing smile comes across her face, and she approaches Caitlyn in a fairly aggressive manner that startles her.  "Ah, so my sister here saved you? Well now you gotta do us this favor." Vi demands, while Caitlyn begins to blush out of embarrassment.

"Fine, I will hear you out." Caitlyn agrees, causing Lucy to jump up with happiness, and Vi begins to smile with a raised eyebrow. "But first, you must tell me everything that I should know about this place and the conflict we're dealing with." She adds.

"Well, isn't that sweet of you. I might just have to come up with a nickname for you just for that." Vi offers as she wraps her arm around Caitlyns shoulder with a laugh.

Caitlyn immediately looks off in the other direction from where Vi is. "But first, I'm gonna have to sleep. It's been forever since I've slept in a good bed." Vi proposes to the rest of the group. And with no objections, the three make their way to a hideout where they can sleep.

After that, Ekko and Mylo begin to set Silver free. "We can't let you in yet, until we know that you're on our side. But here, when you want us to find you, use this. We will find you." Ekko says to Silver, as he grants Silver with a cylinder like object. One that he swore he's seen before.

Moments after, Silver walks through the Undercity with deep thoughts in his head. Everywhere his eyes begin to turn in the darkness, young Powders are there. What makes it worst, are the voices that he hears of himself, encouraging Powder. "Do it.." His own words from when he was younger begin to echo and bounce around his head. The very words that he told Jinx before she caused that explosion years ago.

"I told you to stay the hell away!! Mylo was right, you're nothing but a useless Jinx!!"

"Why?! Why?! Y-you left me! I was trying to help Vi!"

Silver moves his head up to his forehead, before stumbling up against the wall, and sliding down it so that he's sitting down against it. The deserted area around Silver seems to grow Darker as he sits with memories of the past haunting him. "..I was the Jinx.. I was jinx." Silver says to himself, as he dwells on everything negative that's been told to him regarding Jinx.

Only a bit before that happened, Marcus was making his way through the undercity. He made his way inside of the restaurant Vander and the kids used to hang out at before Vanders death.

When walking into the restaurant, a bunch of people were inside. It was pretty much packed with people of the undercity. there were drinks, and neon lights flashing all around like a party. Marcus made his way to the back of the restaurant where it was way quieter.

He was greeted with two big guys guarding a wooden door with graffiti on it. "Its Marcus, I have some serious business with Silco." Marcus sated before holding a card up of identification.

The guards nodded before opening the door and allowing Marcus in. When walking into the room, he saw a large chair facing the wall behind a desk, as well as Sevika who was sitting on the couch with a drink in her hand.

"Marcus...what business do you have with me.?" The man behind the chair questioned before turning around and looking at Marcus.

Marcus sighed in frustration then sat in the chair in front of Silco. "My business is Jinx. She came to the topside and destroyed lots of buildings and killed over 10 guards! I've been trying to bargain with you, but there's only so much that I can do if she keeps doing this!" Marcus yelled in deep frustration to Silco before Sevika stood up and placed an intimidating hand on his shoulder.

"Don't talk to the boss like that.." Sevika demanded with a deep stare at Marcus, causing him to sit back and relax.

Silco was silent before sighing and responding. "I will talk to her. After all, we are in this together, right? I keep Jinx off your streets, and you keep your enforcers off of mine." Silco said calmly before lifting his head up and injecting shimmer into his eye.

"I don't know how we manage that. Because of what you did, there will most likely be enforcers, my men down here tomorrow morning. At this rate we will end up going to war and there will be blood on both sides." Marcus suggested, while Silco stared deeply at him.

Meanwhile, Jinx lays down with a book and metal stick in her mouth and hands. "Well this is boring..booooring..boooring." She suddenly jolts up, and stares at the metal Mylo and Claggor who are sitting down on the couch that's on the larger turbine of her hideout. "Something mathy, something magically. Blah blah."

"Even still. You're proud of me aren't you? I got the gemstone?" Jinx says with a smile, as she taunts the gemstone in metal Mylos face and laughs in a taunting way. "I told you I could do it! Y-you should believe in me more often."

With Jinx talking to the puppets of her dead friends, she suddenly stops, and stares ahead at them. "What about Silver and Lucy?" Mylo suddenly whispers into Jinxs ears from behind. His eyes are glowing this bright white, and his mouth is open as if his jaw doesn't work.

"What about them?! Who cares? I don't. I won't lose sight of our goal. I'm better than that!" Jinx lays down on the turbine while twirling the end of her braid with one hand, and playing with her device with another.

Moments later, Silco ends up in Jinxs hideout. He watches from behind, as Jinx writes some things in her notebook. "Marcus told me what you did today at the Topside. Why would you do that?! Destroying the capital building and killing over 10 enforcers?!" Silco yells with obvious anger, while Jinx begins to smile and lay her head down on her desk as if she's proud of herself.

"I know. I know." With each recollection of the chaos she caused, it makes her smile proudly, while Silco is obviously angered. She also draws in a notebook, as if she has no care in the world about it. "You won't be so mad when you see what I got from it!" Jinx jolts her head up from the desk with a smile, as she pops the gemstone directly into Silcos face. Once he sees it, the anger he had immediately begins to fade away.

While Silco stares at the gemstone, his eyes widen. It's as if he's watching the future within that crystal. "Are you serious?" Silco questions in disbelief, as Jinx starts to smile. "You..you have to get started on a weapon for this immediately." Silco insists.

"Already on it. But I had to make it up to you for screwing up the operation earlier today didn't I? Guess it all worked out!" Jinx says to Silco in response, while laughing slightly. Suddenly she skips off, while Silco smiles and stares at her. Jinx then sets off a bunch of fireworks inside of her hideout, filled with purple, green, and pink.

"Plus, now Silver needs to pay. He's trying to take people away from me, and I'll show him what'll happen when he does that." Jinx says to Silco, but more towards herself, as her eyes twitch slightly.

Silcos smile slowly fades away, once Jinx says those words. "I thought we were keeping our eyes on our goal?" Silco says to Jinx who brushes it off with a forced smile.

"Silver Pilver..I just need to get Silver out of my head, so I can really focus. You.." Jinx moves in closer to Silco, while Silco looks down at her with a calmed composure. "You got that recording from somewhere didn't you? Was it the place that Lucy always randomly runs off to? Was it Silvers home? Or maybe both?" Jinx interrogates Silco with her trembling voice, and without blinking even once.

"Tell me..tell me where you got this recording, and how to get there. After this, I'll be in complete focus. I promise." Jinx demands as she smiles slightly with a tilted head. Silco stares down at her, and the two stare at eachother for a bit like that.

After that, Silver finally starts to make his way back home. Once he's in the area of his home, he begins to pay closer attention to his surroundings. He quickly grows conscious of the fact that this is a terrible place to be. Filled with drugs, no hope, and no light.

Regardless, he decides to ignore that for the time being. He walks up to the little shack that he lives inside of, before opening the door. Though the moment he opens the door, he faces someone who he immediately recognizes.

Jinx, who's sitting down in his chair, and attending to her handgun on his desk. "Jinx..?" Silver questions while he closes the door behind him, and moves in slightly closer to Jinx.

Jinx stops attending to her guns, the moment Silver called out to her. She slowly turns around to face him. Her eyes almost instantly grow in sadness. Her eye lids begin to flicker, her lips part slightly, and her eyes water as well. though the longer she stares at Silver, the quicker that sadness alters to anger. "Yes?" Jinx says to Silver, with a tilted head.

It immediately becomes clear to Silver, that this isn't the Powder that he once knew. His face fills with regret as he stares into Jinxs eyes. Her blue eyes weren't the same, and she had black rings around her eyes, as if she doesn't get sleep. Though Silvers isn't much different.

Initially Silver wanted to see Jinx for hisself. But he wasn't prepared to reunite with her this soon.
