Part 11 - Memorial For The Dead

"Ofcourse he's not here when I just did the most amazing thing." Jinx says to a bartender, as she plays with the hextech gemstone with her cup and straw.

"I can let you know when he's back. He should be back soon. Pretty sure he's with Dr. Singe." Replies the bartender, who's washing some of the cups. 

"Hmm." Jinx thinks to herself, before a smile appears across her face. "No thanks, I'll just surprise him!" Jinx exclaims with excitement as she jumps out of her chair, and tosses the gemstone in her hand. Afterwards, the tosses some coins by the cup she was just drinking from.

Jinx proceeds to make her way to Silcos office. Using a key that he made for her, she easily opens the door, and goes inside of it. The guards don't bat an eye in her direction as well. "Let's seeee, maybe I should hide." Jinx questions while looking around the room, and tapping her fingers against her chin in thought.

Seconds after, she walks towards Silcos desk. Because of the giant minigun she carries around at times, she knocks over what looks to be a recording device that was on Silcos desk.

Once the device hits the floor, it immediately grabs Jinxs attention. She look at it with curiosity, before picking it up, and playing a recording from it. That's when she hears a conversation between Silver and Lucy. Her pupils begin to narrow out, and she spaces out once she hears Silvers voice again. "Silver..?" Jinx says to herself, before quickly stopping the recording, and putting the device down.

Suddenly, Silco walks into the room. The two immediately make eye contact with one another, with Jinx staring at him with eyes that beam with maliciousness. "What's this?" Jinx questions. She picks up the device, and walks closer to Silco. "Why have you been hiding this from me? How did you even get this? What else are you hiding? For all I know, you could be lying to me about my sister!" Jinx accuses, as her eyes instantly grow crazier, and her teeth grind against eachother.

"What I do for you, it's always to protect you. Why? Because I care for you." Silco responds to Jinx, though that doesn't change the look on Jinxs face. "Did you listen to the full clip? You'll see why I didn't want you to know." Silco says calmly, as he slowly reaches for the recording device.

Once he has it in his procession, he fasts forward to a specific part. "She's a danger to you. Eventually she will hurt you, maybe even kill you. You should leave her while you can. Just like I did." Silvers voice says, before Silco pauses the recording device. After hearing those words from Silco, Jinxs entire face takes on a sad expression.

Silco paused the device, just before Lucy responded, letting Silver know that she herself can't just leave Jinx.

Jinxs eyes begin to water, but she immediately rubs them away, the second they do. Her sadness takes on the form of anger within a split second as she grabs onto foreher arm, and sinks her nails in the flesh of it. "That's why..that's why Lucy betrayed me. It was Silver! H-He left me! Now he's trying to take everyone else away from me!" Jinx screams with anger and sadness, as she begins to dig her nails so deep into her arm that it starts to bleed slightly. All without her even realizing it.

Silco watches her the entire time, with a calm expression. After her outburst, Silco slowly embraces Jinx. Just as he did when she was young. The pain in Jinxs eyes begin to grow, as the two hug eachother. "Don't lose sight of our goal. Do you remember what I told you when you were young?" Silco asks Jinx, before he stares ahead with corruption in his eyes. That slowly starts to transfer over to Jinx.

"We will show them all." Silco reassures Jinx, who spaces out, and stares at the wall with a painful expression in her dim, blue eyes.

"Silver.."

"Silver."

"Silver!!" Silver suddenly pops awake from his sleep. Sitting in front of him is a younger Lucy, who's 12 years old.

Silver rubs his eyes, before focusing his attention on Lucy. "What?" Silver questions.

"It's Powder. She got into some trouble." Lucy admits to Silver, who immediately grows concerned.

Present day, Silver sits down in a rickety wooden chair, while tied up by his hands and feet. The small room he's tied up inside of is repulsive. The stone walls are stained with some liquid, and the smell is putrid.

And Silver is sitting inside of that very room, covered in his own sweat, and bruises from his fight with the Owl masked man. He slowly starts to regain his consciousness within that very room. The moment he does, he begins to question where he is. Moving his hands and feet are futile, and opening his eyes to see is aswell, as he's blindfolded.

With much worry and concern in his heart and throughout his body, a door infront of him begins to open. He hears what sounds like two people approaching the chair that he's in. "I don't know who you people are, or what you want, but you need to let me go." Silver says to the two people in front of him.

Suddenly, the blindfold is removed from his eyes. When he slowly opens them, he freezes immediately. His body and face doesn't move a muscle, as he still can't believe his eyes. He quickly remembers seeing one of them when he fought the masked men on the rooftop. Standing before him are two people from his past . One of which he believed was long gone. Mylo, and Ekko. "Mylo..I thought you were dead. When I saw you on that roof, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. And Ekko, you've grown a lot. You were the one with the Owl mask." Silver confesses to the two.

Both of them look fairly similar, except Mylo has facial hair, and scars all over his face, which Silver assumes was from the explosion that took place six years ago. Ekko also looks the same, except his white hair and toned body. "I know you haven't seen us in awhile. You probably don't even know how Mylo is alive." Ekko says to Silver, before leaning up against a wall, and crossing his arms. "After the explosion that Jinx caused six years ago, I managed to make it to the scene and rescue Mylo. It was hard. There were enforcers everywhere. And unfortunately, Claggor was gone." Ekko confesses.

"After that, Silco pushed his shimmer production like crazy. He started selling it to people in the  Undercity for money, and also power. That money would be used to fund for weapons, supplies, and more soldiers for his army..but why am I telling you this? You already know all of this, since you're one of his lackeys." Mylo says to Silver, with an angered expression on his face. However Ekko takes a closer look at Silvers face, and he picks up on the fact that Silver is extremely confused.

"Wait.." Ekko says to Mylo, causing Mylo to take a closer look at Silver as well. "You didn't know what Silco has done? Didn't he adopt you, Lucy, and Jinx?" Ekko questions.

Silver faces his head down, and he searches in his head for any memory regarding what Mylo and Ekko are talking about. "It was mostly Jinx..but I don't know. Now that I think about it, I realize that I don't remember really anything from back then. Everything after the explosion six years ago is a full blur. All I remember are bits and pieces of things. But that explains why the people around where I live are the way they are. Mindless zombies." Silver responds to Ekko and Mylo.

Ekko and Mylo look at eachother with slightly confused faces, that begin to grow less hostile. Mylo on the other hand, continues to look at Silver with hostility. "Well you should be able to piece together why we tried to attack Lucy. We know she's been close with Jinx. And if she's close with Jinx, then she's close with Silco. And our goal is to bring down Silcos empire." Ekko confesses to Silver, and it immediately all starts to make sense.

Silver shakes his head as he looks up at Ekko and Mylo. "Lucy and Po-I mean Jinx are still close. But Lucy doesn't support anything that she does that's harmful. She even told me recently that I should try to talk with Jinx and bring her back to how she was before. So whenever she is, you need to let her go-"

"Lucy isn't here." Mylo steps forward while staring deeply at Silver. Silver looks shocked, but also confused on where Lucy might be. "And there's no bringing her back. If Lucy truly thinks that, then she's too far gone. There's no middle ground either. You're either with us, or against us. Who's side are you on. And who's side will Lucy be on?" Mylo forces Silver to make the decision of who's side he's on.

After Mylos response, Silver begins to space out. He looks towards the side of him at the stone wall, and starts to see a young Powder. She's slapping the wall, while screaming and crying with agonizing tears. Suddenly multiple voices of Powder screaming and crying in distress begin to overlap in his head.

Silver suddenly shakes the voices, and images out of his head. Mylo and Ekko watch him with confusion that begins to rise.

Silver stares at Mylo, before turning to also look at Ekko. "First, let me see Jinx for myself again..After I see who she is now, I'll give you my answer." Silver says to Ekko and Mylo, who's shocked at Silvers response.

Silver continues to stare at Mylo and Ekko, after giving his answer. With the look in his eyes, it becomes clear that Silver is serious, but also deeply troubled by something from within.
