Chapter 1: Aria Reid

"Huff, huff….how did things go so wrong" Aria said as he stared as the large beast in front of him. It was over 50ft tall with red scales running down from its head to its tail, spikes protruded from its arms and legs making it look like shoulder pads, its large mouth made Aria look as small as an ant, fur was found on its arms and legs, it had four arms with a weapon in each arm, a sword, a shield, a spear and a gauntlet. One eye had been removed and it was glaring at the figure in front of him with 6 bodies littered around him. It then started to gather fire in its mouth as rage seethed through its eye. The ground began heating up and the flames left its mouth. 'How the hell do I get out of this mess' the figure thought as he looked at the flames approaching him?

*5 years and 3 months ago*

Ever since earth discovered aliens and formed countless pacts with them, Humans slowly advanced in technology slowly surpassing those who were considered above them, but due to the constant mining of newly discovered resources such as Salendrium Earth slowly crumbled away making humans result to mass relocation to a new planet called Crotatia. But on arriving on that planet, we discovered something truly horrifying, those things where called Krillians, rabid beasts that survived purely on instinct.

They were larger, stronger and even our advanced technology stood no chance. We were almost driven to the brink of extinction until one human started developing traits that gave him super human abilities.

It was unknown how we started to develop such traits but from him, it spread like a virus to the remaining humans. With that new found strength we were able to fight back against those dreadful creatures. We called those special traits Specialties. But with each confrontation, they got stronger and smarter until they ended up surpassing us, even developing twisted forms of specialties.

At some point the Krillians just left Crotatia and moved to a neighboring planet. Humans thought we were finally at peace but once in a while they send few batches of Krillians to attack us. This has been going on for thousands of years, and the humans where able to bring back their old population with each one having a specialty. Due to this we ended up reaching a standstill with wretches as we were equal in strength. Even till this day no human has ever been born without a specialty, and that is where I come in.

My name is Aria Reid. This empty and dark apartment is where I live. Life wasn't always this hard though, I had parents and though they were both specialist, there specialties where considered basic in this world. Though to me the where the most powerful people I knew. I was expected to get a specialty at the age of 5 but life is so unfortunate that I ended up being born without one. Because of that I always bullied by my age mates who saw me as the weakest in their stupid group.

So because of this particular issue I decided to train my body instead, while I did that dad will always make sure to take his time to teach me martial arts at the age of five. I was able to master all the martial arts this world had to offer at the age of 9. My life was indeed a peaceful one until…

*beep* *beep*

"Honey we just got a call from headquarters that we are to head out, krillians have attacked the city" Juliet said as she stared at her husband with the phone in her hand.

"Krilians…I thought they weren't to come back until another 2 years …this is unexpected, let's just suit up and head out I guess"

10 minutes laterJuliet came out in a blue armor that seemed to illustrate her beauty, it complemented her blue eyes and blue hair and the armor gave her the feeling of an ice empress as there was an icy cold aura surrounding her. Oliver came down the stairs as well with an armor that matched his wife's own except it was red in color and the air around him seemed to burn due to the immense heat emanating from his body.

"Mom…dad…w where are you headed to"

"My dear" Juliet said as she approached young aria who was wearing pajamas and squatted in front of him. The cold aura around her seemed to dissipate instantly. "Mommy and daddy got called for a mission and we need you to stay I your room and wait for us. Okay!"

"But what if you don't come back""Of course we will come back son" Oliver said with a bright smile on his face. "Don't you believe in your mom and dad?"

"I believe in mom and dad…they are the strongest" Aria said with a cute smile on his face."Then wait for us, okay! We will be back before you know it" Juliet said as she walked towards the door with Oliver."Okay"With that they walked out of the door, I didn't know that, that will be the last time I speak to them.

*The next day*

**KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*

"Yes" Aria said as he stormed through his house to open the door expecting to see his parents but instead when he opened the door he saw an average looking man with an average athletic figure. Even his face was average, everything about him was just average. He was wearing an army clothing in the color of black and gold."Excuse me but is this the Reid family residence"

"Yes, yes it is,erhm….are my parents behind you" Aria said while trying to peek a glance behind the man to check if maybe they wanted to surprise him.

"So you must be Aria Reid" The man said as he looked Aria up and down before continuing."Am sorry to say but both Oliver and Juliet Reid are no more as they have been killed in battle"

"No, No, No, that's impossible, they promised to come back….they can't just break their promise" Aria said as he began laughing. "Okay mom and dad you can come out now, I know this is all a joke."

"Well am sorry to break it to you kid but there both dead" The man said as he pulled out a cigarette and out in his mouth before lighting it." That's just the harsh reality of this world, no one is safe, am sorry the news came to you like this…but anyway the army will provide all your needs till you reach the age requirement to enter any academy of your choice..."

"Just leave me alone" Aria said as he ran up his room with tears streaming from his eyes

"…kids this days" He said as he left the buildingAfter walking about 5m away from the house, he finally reached his car.

*click* *click*

"Why is this goddamn place so big" He said as he opened the door to his car but then..

*BOOM*

"What the hell" The man said as he turned look at the house, he could see smoke coming out of the house particularly the room where the boy ran up too. He then ran towards the house but upon reaching the house he could see a red aura had encased the whole house."This aura.."The man said as sweat streamed down his face. "..This aura is of that of a king tier beast, did it break in here while I was away" the man pondered.

"Wait a sec…that kid his still in there"Immediately the man grabbed his phone from his pocket and made a phone call."Requesting back-up…king tier beast located, I need immediate back up! NOW!"He then ended the phone call and rushed inside the building, an overbearing aura engulfed his body, his hair began to float and so did things around. A black armor then etched unto his body as he walked upstairs. Reaching the door he immediately kicked it open"Kid are you o…"He stopped mid-sentence as what he saw will be etched in his mind till he dies.

*6 years later*

"Finally I will be out of here" a young teen said. He had white hair reaching his neck level, he had clear blue eyes, and he had very handsome features that will make any girl instantly fall in love in him.

*KNOCK* *KNOCK*

'hmmmm! I guess it's time to go' the boy thought as he began walking towards the door, suddenly he stopped and looked back at the picture on the wall."I will be leaving now mom and dad, I promise to make you proud"He then turned around and walked towards the door, upon reaching it he immediately opened the door to find a tall man with short black hair, he was wearing an army uniform but even that couldn't hide his explosive muscles."Are you Aria Reid?"

"Yes I am"The man then looked him up and down with a disgusted look."Fine, follow me" he said as he walked towards his car, upon reaching the car he opened the door and turned to look at Aria."Get in peasant"

'Rude bastard' Aria thought with a crude smile on his face and veins popping from the side of his head. He was already used to this kind of stares and attitude rom people. Ever since his parents death he life was turned upside down. The money his parents had left for him was destroyed with the rest of his house. Right now he wasn't even wearing proper clothes, his clothes where torn in different parts."Fine I will get in" Aria immediately got in the car and took a seat. The car was a black sedan with a thin glass separating the driver seat from the seat in the back.' What the hell is this glass for?'Immediately gas began to find its way into the car through the vents…even though the man was in the car with him as well the gas was not affecting him as the gas was not able to penetrate through the glass."Cough! Cough! What the hell is going on?"

"Just fall asleep kid, the sooner the better"

'Damn it...i..Am…losing…consiousn…'

…"Hey! Hey! Wake up goddammit" The army scout said as he slapped aria awake."Huh! What the hell…hey what did you do to me" Aria said with a hint of fury in his eyes

"O shut up! We have arrived at the academy, what more do you need know"As soon as he said those words a shocked look crawled it's was unto Aria's face as he looked at the large metal gates which he didn't seem to notice. Written boldly on top of the gates where just two words but he already knew that this was where his future will be decided.
