Wondering soul

(Hey, sorry, but this is the redo, didn't like where the story was going so had to change it)

They say once you know the grand scheme of the gods, everything will unravel, even the fabric of the universe itself.

Death is something known to all, inevitable and unavoidable. However, what lies beyond death remains a mystery to many. Yet, for those like Cipher, the truth is clear. After death, souls are transported to the Sanctuary. Contrary to its name, the Sanctuary is not a place of peace. It is a realm governed by Vitalis, the god of life, a figure revered across other worlds.

Upon arrival on the planet known as Sanctuary, souls are bestowed with roles and titles that they must fulfill. Whether it be the esteemed position of Grand Wizard or the revered title of Priest of Purity, each role comes with its own set of responsibilities. These roles are not merely ceremonial; they serve as a pathway for souls to ascend to higher realms. Through a structured system of tasks and trials, souls strive to earn the opportunity to participate in the trials of the gods and potentially ascend to godhood themselves, ruling over worlds within the vast universe of gods.

However, Cipher, a boy, no, a soul, was sent to the sanctuary on his own, not escorted with the great god that rules over it, nothing. His eyes widen as he watches the grin on his father's face as he descends the flight of stairs, only a smile of satisfaction playing on his aged face.

Cipher only knew pain, nothing else. He always sat at the sidelines and was the one to feel the pain of everyone else, he was like a fly in the corner of the room observing their every action having no chance to intervene only when it comes to getting hurt or abused.

Now, spending countless years watching others live their lives and have fun exploring and discovering their sleeves as they try to unlock their final title, the one that will make them transcend into the trials of god, having a chance to become a god of their own world.

But, he didn't have such luxuries, he never had a chance, being a dump ghost unnoticed by the system and everyone else, only watching as the god brought more people in, his form too far to see, only like two shooting stars as they passed by. All he had was this overwhelming envy coursing through him, consuming his thoughts and actions, but for some reason he couldn't hate them, he just.. Despise them all.

Looking back down to the raging battle unfolding before him as he watches two people fight a level three ring monster, its large body towered over them like a dragon but instead of scales, it was fur, white pristine fur clads its body, a golden plate wrapping around its chest swirling and going down to its feet, where it clung to the floor for dear life.

And like a fly, he hovered over silently watching it play out. "Rellio, I'll go left and you right, we'll do just as we practiced." A girl with red hair says, her fists fastened with gauntlets. It looked weak and unsteady due to the many fractures around it, and its endurance relatively low.

Rellio, the boy, on the other hand, had a staff in his arms. "They are chi and magic users, unless the girl is using some sort of magical relic." Cipher mutters to himself.

The girl is the first one to go off, going her designated direction, slamming her fists together causing miniature sparks of light. As if it was a signal that the war is about to begin, the creature swings its tail, plummeting it straight to her direction, but before it slams down on her, she leaps into the air, avoiding it just by an inch, as she then runs up its tail.

Its roar echoes through ring two, ripping the air just as many green balls from around them, shooting out small beams of light destroying the very space surrounding it. The shockwave of its roar sends her back and she grips onto one of the hovering debris, digging her fingers alongside the edges of it.

"Rellio! Some help here!" She calls out, a bunch of beams connect together forming one large one, and head for her.

"Right at you, Mika!" a burst of water deflects the beam, sending its course to another place and where it landed immediately blows up upon impact.

Mika nods, a sign of gratification, holding one of the fallen stones, tightening her muscles on her feet as she launches off a trail of fire following her fist in pursuit. She grips her hands together, and slams it into its head, fire dances around and explodes, knocking it back and the boy coming in from the left, his staff pointing at the beast, the tip of it charging up a white light ball infused with a mixture of colors.

It suddenly bursts out a small stream of light reaching the beast then, unexpectedly expanding, the floors lifting around it as it cuts through the very fabric of time, hurling towards the creature and splitting its head from its long neck.

The feeling of inadequacy lingers in Cipher's heart while watching them scream out for joy, realizing they killed it.

It will take a while for me to make chapters since im planning on putting out five at a time so you'll have something to read! sorry for starting it over!
