79. An Annoying Self-Centered Guy

Izumi tested the newly forged sword to clash with Kuroneko's divine sword. He just wanted to make sure that his new sword could be used against stronger swords without taking any damage.

"Weird. A sword based on sea stone as a material shouldn't be this strong. I'm pretty sure because I've clashed with a weapon made of sea stone."

"So? Isn't that good?"

"Well, yeah. It's just kinda weird. Did that old man add some harder materials? Such as adamantite, orichalcum, star silver, or something?"

"Why are you even thinking about that? The important thing is that you know the fact that your sword is really hard. Isn't that right?"

"True. I'm thinking too much."

Kuroneko looked at the sky that had been dyed with the color of the twilight sky.

"It's almost dark. If you want to test it again, we'll continue tomorrow!" Kuroneko said.

Izumi nodded. Then, they returned to the town.

As they were heading towards the inn, he happened to see Kazuma pushing the carriage. The carriage carried a cage that locked Aqua inside.

Izumi and Kuroneko looked at each other at the same time. They both knew that this was the place where Kazuma met another reincarnator, Kyouya Kyouya.

And sure enough, Kyouya Kyouya appeared.

"Goddess-sama! Isn't this goddess-sama? What are you doing in such a place?" Kyouya suddenly shouted and rushed to Aqua who shut herself inside the cage. He grabbed the bars and bent them, then offered a hand to Aqua.

'Here we come the Flag!' Izumi said inwardly.

Kyouya Kyouya's attitude and demeanor irritated Darkness, even though she usually didn't show her emotions openly.

As the tension rose, Kazuma approached Aqua.

"Hey, it's someone you know, is it? He called you goddess-sama just now. Go and settle that guy!"

Aqua confusedly glanced at Kazuma, then said.

"Ah, goddess! That's right, I'm a goddess. And? What do you want this goddess to settle? You guys are really helpless!"

Aqua came out of the cage. Sometimes, she even forgot her identity as a goddess.

Looking from top to bottom, Aqua tilted her head in confusion.

"Who are you?"

That man claimed to be Kyouya Kyouya who received the legendary demonic sword, Gram. But even so, she still couldn't remember. To describe his character, he looked like the main character in a manga with girls accompanying him, which clearly showed that there were two girls behind him.

"Did you remember me, goddess-sama?"

"Nope."

An awkward silence ensued.

But Kyouya was still smiling at Aqua which made her shudder.

Kyouya asked why Aqua was locked in the cage, so Aqua explained. Probably because Aqua said irresponsible words to him when he got sent to this world, even Kazuma said the truth, Kyouya won't believe there was such a weird goddess.

A fight broke out between Kyouya and Kazuma after he heard Kazuma brought Aqua to this world, and what life she had been through, including where she lived in the stables.

For the first meeting, this guy was really rude. He didn't understand Aqua at all. Moreover, he was a self-centered guy and always felt that he did the right thing.

"Watch yourself and remove your hand! You had been unreasonable all this while. And this must be the first time you meet Kazuma, there should be a limit to how rude you can be."

Darkness, who was usually quiet when she wasn't spouting nonsense, got angry. Even Megumin seemed to be chanting explosion magic.

Kyouya observed Darkness and Megumin excitedly. Then, he started spouting nonsense like how lucky Kazuma got a crusader, an arch-wizard, and even a goddess as his party members.

Kazuma whispered to Aqua.

"Hey, hey, Aqua! Isn't it normal for adventurers in this world to stay in the stables? Why is this guy so mad?"

"Well, I think because he was granted a powerful sword, he completed a bunch of high-difficulty quests from the beginning. He probably had no worries about money. Well, it's the usual case for people like that."

Flame of anger burst inside Kazuma's body. Although from the first two weeks Kazuma could use water magic from Fairy Tail world, the power was not worth mentioning. Even now, he was considered the weakest among the chat group members.

The guy who didn't undergo any hardship because of the powerful sword gifted to him, why is he acting so high and mighty to him who had to work hard from the very start?

Kyouya offered Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness to join his party without even realizing Kazuma was seething in anger.

"He is so bad that he made me cringe. All he could do was talk with his narcissistic tendencies which frightened me."

"For some reason, I'm unable to physically accept this guy, it also makes me want to beat him."

"Can I cast my magic? Can I throw an explosion spell into his haughty face who had never gone through any hardship before?"

Aqua, Darkness, and Megumin were also annoyed by him. That was why their opinion was rather negative.

Kazuma and his party started to ignore Kyouya by walking toward the guild. However, Kyouya blocked their way.

"Sorry, seeing my benefactor who gave me power fall into such a state, I can't just ignore her. It would be better for Aqua-sama to follow me as the hero who will defeat the Demon King.

How about making a bet? You choose Aqua-sama as the 'thing' to be brought along with you into this world, right? If I win, you have to give Aqua-sama to me, if you win, I can promise—"

Before he could finish his words. A sword flew in front of him and stabbed into the ground. A cold voice sounded.

"Can you stop bothering them? You know, you are not pleasing to the eye, even I want to stab you to death."

All of them looked at where the voice came from.

"Izumi? Since when?" Kazuma asked.

"Since that self-centered guy greeted you."

"From the very start?" Kazuma and his party screamed inwardly. They didn't even notice him at all. Even Kyouya was surprised.

"You want to get in their way to challenge Kazuma to a duel? Are you considering if Kazuma had a legendary sword like you? If you want to challenge him fairly, then don't use that sword!" Izumi pointed at Kyouya.

"Well, fine. I won't use this sword."

"You think that's fair? From the very start, you were rewarded with that sword, and made you level up quickly. Do you think Kazuma is like you? Do you think his life is as easy as yours? He worked hard from the bottom in order to survive. But, you actually insulted him and openly wanted to snatch his party members. Aren't you going too far? Huh? You scum!" Izumi always made fun of Kazuma, but it was only a joke. If Kazuma was insulted like that, surely Izumi would not remain silent.

Kyouya wanted to talk back, but Izumi cut him off.

"Don't talk you dumb fuck! If you want a fair fight, then challenge me instead. Be it one on one or together with your party will do! Let's see how strong the so-called hero is." Izumi snapped.

The longer Izumi heard Kyouya's words, the hotter his ears were. His blood was even boiling with anger.

Izumi walked forward, then drew his sword that was stuck in the ground. He brandished his sword to point at Kyouya. Everyone immediately stepped away from Izumi and Kyouya.

"Fine, sin—"

"Stop talking and just come here!!" Izumi shouted to interrupt Kyouya's words once again.

Izumi stood in a relaxing manner while holding his sword in his right hand.

Inside, Kyouya was so angry. Never once in his life had he been treated like this. As a self-centered guy, how could he be able to justify himself for being wrong?
