71. An Idol Group?

Izumi and the others decided to go to a nearby town on foot. As they walked, Kuroneko said that the Isekai setting should have them save a princess or noble in a precarious situation. After that, they can get a reward for saving the princess or noble. But, only got a chop in her head because of her delusional thoughts.

"What the heck are you doing!!? I hereby announce that thou art guilty!" Kuroneko pointed at Izumi with her index finger.

"Can you cure your chuuni disease?" Izumi responded straightforwardly.

"What do you mean by "chuuni disease"? Are you asking for a fight?"

Izumi took a step back and raised both of his hands.

"I just asked you to cure your disease. Not picking a fight. Furthermore, I won't bully a little girl like you."

"Li-little girl? You—" Kuroneko couldn't argue as she realized that she was indeed a little girl. She could only curse Izumi in her heart.

"Just wait! I can still grow. Don't blame me if you are attracted to me when I look mature later!"

"Hahaha, you guys are similar to Zoro and Sanji. Always quarreling with each other." Luffy laughed in response to their quarrel.

Kuroneko clicked her tongue, then ignored those two.

Meanwhile, they continued walking toward the nearest town.

"Luffy, can you sing? It's kinda boring if we just silently walk. Too bad, I didn't bring any musical instruments to enliven the atmosphere."

"Eh, you can play a musical instrument? What instrument?"

Izumi nodded.

"I can play some things like guitar, piano, and even flute."

"Woah, amazing!"

"Wanna learn?" Izumi asked.

"Nope. I'm a captain. Music is the musician's job, not mine."

"But don't you like singing when you're on a ship? Singing is part of the music, you know."

Luffy pushed his palm forward.

"No! Music uses musical instruments! Singing is not included!"

"Fine, fine! You're right. So are you going to sing now?"

Luffy just nodded, then he started to sing.

After Izumi and Kuroneko heard what Luffy was singing, they burst out laughing while holding their stomachs because they couldn't hold them in.

Kuroneko didn't know what song it was, but the way Luffy sang it made her amused. Meanwhile, Izumi knew. It's an iconic song from Luffy when he got lost in the forest while on sky island.

That's so funny when heard directly from Luffy's mouth. Izumi himself felt so nostalgic because he watched that episode when he was still alive in his previous life.

When Luffy finished singing, he tilted his head in confusion.

"What's so funny?" He asked Izumi and Kuroneko who were holding their stomachs while laughing.

Trying to hold his laugh, Izumi gave him a reply.

"It's okay, your song is great, Luffy. You should sing that song more often."

"I should've recorded him a while ago." Kuroneko said while giggling.

When they arrived at the town, everyone looked at them as they were accompanied by a griffon. Immediately, the gatekeeper stopped them.

Izumi could see the gatekeepers staring at the griffon with a hint of fear on their faces. Even though they didn't recognize the griffon, they knew very well that there was a griffon that was causing trouble near the town because it prevented merchants from crossing the main route.

"Is there a problem if we bring a tamed animal?"

"Is that griffon really tamed?" One of the guards asked cautiously.

"Their eyes may be vitamin A deficient. It's clear that we've tamed this griffon. Otherwise, how could this griffon just sit still?" Kuroneko commented that the gatekeepers didn't believe them.

"Hey, it's a griffon. A rare monster. Of course, they're worried." Izumi rebuked Kuroneko. Then, Izumi turned to the gatekeepers.

"Please, don't fret! We're in complete control of this griffon."

Even though the gatekeepers never saw Izumi and the others, they only assumed that Izumi's party was very strong considering they could tame griffons.

After discussing it for a while, one of the gatekeepers approached Izumi while giving him a pendant.

"For safety reasons, please attach this pendant to let others know that your beast has been tamed."

"Alright, thanks." Izumi thanked the gatekeeper.

"No problem."

When they entered the town through the gate, they were quite surprised that the town looked so bustled with people passing by on the streets as if there was going to be a special event to be held.

Izumi asked the passerby, the passerby was slightly surprised that Izumi and his party didn't know, but that person shrieked in surprise to see a Griffon behind Izumi. However, after that person saw the pendant, that person sighed in relief.

Izumi got the answer as to why the town looked so bustled. He began to ponder.

"I don't remember that there was an event like this in the anime."

"Maybe a side story?" Kuroneko commented.

Izumi shrugged his shoulders while replying.

"There's no side story like this in the novel though. Maybe the plot of the game."

"Game? Does it exist? I never knew there was a Konosuba game."

"The anime hasn't been released in your world yet. The Konosuba game will be released after the anime is released."

"No wonder." Kuroneko nodded. But then, she turned to Izumi in wonder. "How did you know? If I remember correctly, your world doesn't even have that novel and anime."

"Try later with complete mode on your phone, then explore! You'll find out."

Kuroneko understood what Izumi meant. Too bad, she couldn't browse while on a mission.

In the next two hours, there will be an idol concert that makes the city they come to so crowded with visitors.

Izumi was curious and wanted to know what concerts were like in a fantasy world. He wanted to see the similarities and the differences. Then offer the others to come along. Luffy naturally agreed to come along since he likes music while Kuroneko seemed a bit reluctant.

Izumi reprimanded Luffy for not taking other people's food without paying. If he asked, Izumi would give him some money.

"Then, give me the money!" Luffy stretched out both his palms like a beggar.

"Follow me first! We will sell something. I'll give you the money after that." Then Izumi brought Luffy and Kuroneko to sell the materials they had gotten from hunting.

Too bad in the town Izumi visited right now, there was no adventure guild. So he and the others still had to return to Axel town.

After Izumi finished selling some materials like monster cores, skins, etc. Izumi gave some money to Luffy because he was fussing about asking for money earlier.

As soon as Luffy got the money Izumi gave him, Luffy immediately left, ignoring Izumi and Kuroneko.

"Sigh. This guy…" Izumi shook his head as if he gave up taking care of Luffy.

"Is it okay to let him go alone? That guy loves to cause trouble." Kuroneko asked.

"Hmmm, what do you think?"

"I thought that there would be big trouble."

"That trouble is kinda bound to happen." Izumi smirked.

Although Izumi was quite sure that there would be events that might not happen in the anime, Izumi was actually quite excited. After experiencing the fight against Luffy, he felt addicted to the violent impact of the fight.

Izumi was looking forward to the upcoming event. He would actually be more interested if the enemy that came was the demon general Vanir.

He shook his head, then turned to Kuroneko.

"Let's find someplace to eat!"

Izumi only invited Kuroneko to eat, but Kuroneko stepped back as if avoiding him.

"What's wrong with you?" But then, Izumi continued. "Do you think other people will think we're dating? Don't worry, it won't happen. Besides, other people will think you're my little sister."

Kuroneko clenched her teeth while pulling out her sword.

"Are you satisfied with mocking me?"

"Hey, hey, chill! Fine, fine. We're dating, okay? So, don't be impulsive! We're—"

Suddenly, Kuroneko swung her sword. Naturally, Izumi swiftly avoided it.

"Fuck! What's your problem, little girl?"

"Damn you, Miyamura! Don't avoid it! Let me cut you!"

Kuroneko didn't stop and tried to slash Izumi which made him immediately run away from her.

"Goddamned. You're crazy!!"

Kuroneko chased Izumi for tens of minutes non-stop like a cat and mouse. In the end, Kuroneko gave up because Izumi's evasive ability was top-notch.

"Haaa— haaa— your ability is cheating, Miyamura." Kuroneko took a deep breath while talking to Izumi. Meanwhile, Izumi replied.

"Hey, your sword is also broken. Good thing I have complete control over my Devil Fruit power. Otherwise, everything will be messed up."

Suddenly.

Hearing a loud bang, Izumi and Kuroneko looked at each other. Then, both of them exclaimed at the same time.
