186. It Started

Sometime after Izumi walked through Danzo's base, he found a suspicious thing. It was a strange mechanic that seemed to open a secret passage after seeing the oddness.

It was covered by a seal formation which was a composite of technique formulas, several symbols, and kanji in disorder.

Izumi didn't understand the formation at all. He didn't know much about the types of Fūinjutsu. Moreover, the formation was too messy.

"Hmmm? Why do I feel these are like a puzzle?"

Izumi held his chin.

Izumi examined the formations in detail. From the shape of the formation, it looked like 4 formations with each end overlapping each other, making them look messy. Not just that, but those formations seemed connected to each other.

Izumi tried to activate them one by one. Light shone from one of the formations, flowing into the other formations until it shone down on all four formations. After that, the formations began to merge into one. And once the formation was assembled, the mechanism on the wall activated and shifted the wall revealing the existence of a secret path behind it.

Unfortunately, the sliding of the wall caused a rumbling sound that alarmed people inside the base.

"Fuck!" Izumi cursed silently.

Izumi spontaneously took out some things from his storage space and put them on the ground, wall and the other way. Then he ran inside.

Somewhere within the base, a person who had bandages wrapped around his right eye and right hand heard a rumbling sound.

That person frowned.

"Where did that rumble come from? Hinoe, Hinoto, Kanoe, Kanoto, check out what happened!"

That man was Danzo. He felt something wasn't right. He had a bad feeling about that. He stood up from his seat. Then start walking with a cane.

Shortly after.

*Boom*

A loud explosion was heard within the base. Danzo's brows rose up. His bad premonition finally came true.

"Who dares to infiltrate into my base? Don't tell me it's Orochimaru. Didn't he cause trouble for Hiruzen right now?"

Danzo was furious because he thought Orochimaru had sneaked into his base. If not him, then it should be his people. When he arrived at the site of the explosion, the four men that he ordered earlier were lying breathless. Their bodies were not intact, there were parts of their bodies that seemed to have been blasted by the explosion.

Just as Danzo came, his men who were at the base also appeared behind him.

No doubt, the only one that could be called his enemy was Orochimaru. Orochimaru should be outside since he wanted to kill Hiruzen.

"People from Kaiyougakure? No. It shouldn't be. One of them killed Orochimaru's pawn. They shouldn't be on the same side. Then, it must be Kabuto." Danzo deduced himself.

The only person who knew the ins and outs of his base well is Orochimaru. And if he wasn't infiltrating, surely the culprit would be Kabuto since he is Orochimaru's right-hand man.

Danzo just didn't think Orochimaru wanted something from his laboratory. Or in other words, taking back something that Danzo had confiscated after Orochimaru had been caught betraying Konohagakure village.

The only path that should have been taken to get to the laboratory was blocked by rocks due to the previous explosion. Izumi cleverly set mines while destroying the wall near the entrance. It would hinder them from catching up with Izumi.

It took Danzo and his men several minutes to clear the rocks blocking the path.

When Danzo arrived at the laboratory, his eyeballs bulged as if they were about to pop out. Then he snapped.

"Orochimaru!!!"

Meanwhile…

"Hahahaha!!"

Izumi laughed while picking up the device that was in his ear. The piercing sound of Danzo's anger through the device could be heard clearly. What was ridiculous was Orochimaru being accused by him.

Izumi already swept away Danzo's laboratory, including old documents a few minutes earlier.

Although Izumi wasn't afraid of being caught, he didn't want to face Danzo who had many lives since a lot of Sharingan was implanted in his body and each of them could be sacrificed for one life. It was too troublesome to fight him.

Not just that. Danzo was strong. If Izumi wanted to kill Danzo, he would need to use all of his strength.

The one thing that made Izumi not understand the logic in the Shinobi world was how people pluck the Sharingan eyes and attach them to other people using only their fingers. And it worked properly without splicing eye nerve cells. If Izumi did the same thing as people in the Shinobi world did, he doubted it would work. Izumi was still unsure and he thought it was better to use a more modern method if he wanted to do it.

Izumi looked around and it seemed that Orochimaru's plan had started.

"Can anyone track where the enemy will come from?"

Apart from Izumi, Hiiro, Rori, Kakashi, and Yuuki-Onna, the others gathered together.

"Hehe, don't underestimate this genius, Tabane-chan. Even though I can't use Haki, my tools and devices are enough to track people from afar."

The first to ask was Warrod, and Tabane replied haughtily. At that very moment, Tabane took out her devices and operate them immediately. One device flew into the sky, and one device was held by her. She turned it on, then red dots appeared on the device.

"Isn't that radar? Is it useful? If the radar only detects people, isn't it useless if we don't know which one is the enemy?" Kazuma gave his response, and the others also agreed.

But then, Tabane taps the device. The display changes and this time it's not just the radar, it's a screenshot from the sky.

The device looks for human body heat and records it from the sky. So, it can be seen which one is the enemy and which one is not.

"Found them! Here, here, and here!"

Tabane pointed out where the enemies were, and one of those places seemed to be being used for a ritual.

A moment later, the place that seemed to be used for rituals turned out to be the summoning of 3 giant snakes using the Kuchiyose no Jutsu.

"Let's go!" Tabane took them all to the great wall of Konohagakure. And her intention was clear, which was to confront the enemies.

"What are you guys doing here, hurry up and evacuate. The enemies are coming."

One of the people from Konohagakure village guarding the top of the wall warned them.

Warrod replied by pointing at the M symbol on the forehead protector.

"That's why we're here, you know this symbol right? We're allies, so it wouldn't hurt to help. I don't have time to explain, you should look for the Anbu for reinforcements!"

After Warrod said that, one of the ninjas who was on top of the great wall went to seek reinforcement.

"Old gramp, you are here with Luffy to stop those snakes! Your abilities are suited to fight something big like those snakes."

Warrod and Luffy nodded. Then Tabane added.

"Oh yeah Luffy, those snakes might be used as food for you later. Otherwise, your portion will be reduced because there is not enough food."

Hearing Tabane's words, Luffy got excited and jumped off the big wall and chased the snake alone. The people from Konohagakure panicked with Luffy facing the three snakes head-on, while Tabane and the others shook their heads with a smile. Warrod told the Konohagakure ninjas that he would help from behind because his abilities could be used over long distances.

Tabane looked at Kuroneko and Kazuma.

"Kuroneko and Kazuma will be together at a point where enemies will appear. Then I'll go to the last one. When I'm done, I'll help you."

"Are we okay? Our enemies are professionals." Kazuma asked in worry.

"If you don't want to be killed, kill them! Think of them as some trash!" Tabane replied.

"It's easy to talk." Kuroneko muttered.

Then Tabane activated something. Metal covered Tabane's body parts and formed armor. Then, the metal in her back formed a pair of transparent wings.

Tabane, who had activated her IS, surprised the ninjas from Konohagakure village. But she didn't care. Ignoring those people, she carried the two of them, Kuroneko and Kazuma to the place they had discussed earlier.
