144. Summon! Shikigami

Before Izumi left, he messaged his mother that he wanted to go somewhere for a few days.

He felt defeated.

He was submitted to the harshness of reality that was slapping his face in both directions, as much as he himself wanted to get out of that problem and at least make a life-changing decision for himself.

He tried to calm down and suppress his emotion before he went to the shinobi world to loosen the turmoil inside him.

Izumi controlled the wind around his feet to make him fly to the top of the biggest tree in the recently established village. There, Warrod, Rori, Tabane, and Hiiro already waited for his arrival.

Warrod said that team 7 which was led by Kakashi would pick them up somewhere near the Naruto Great Bridge. And they discussed how to get there.

"Hihihi, fret not! I've prepared everything." Tabane said with a victory gesture.

"Tabane-chan, let's not overly display our world's technology!" Izumi was worried that Tabane would use a plane or something. But, Tabane pouted. She brought her face closer to his while glaring.

"Listen to me first, Izumi-chan!"

Izumi spontaneously took a step back while nodding. Then Tabane continued to explain.

Not long after, everyone understood. Even Izumi, who was against it at first, agreed.

"Hmmm, we'll change to a sailing ship halfway, huh? That's fine though." Izumi muttered while holding his chin.

Tabane nodded.

"That's right. Maybe two-thirds of the way is also fine. I don't want to stay on a sailing ship for long, you know!"

"A yacht and a sailing ship, huh? I wonder how you got those things?"

"It doesn't matter! What matters is that we have transportation."

Before they left, Izumi remembered something. Izumi took out ten paper amulets before biting his finger. Then with blood dripping from his finger, he used it to draw a pattern on each paper amulet.

Those paper amulets were Mystery Amulets that he got from a mission to summon one shikigami per piece of paper.

The Mystery Amulets shone brightly and humanoid-like figures began to emerge one after another from the bright light.

Each of them has a unique appearance. A girl with horns, a cold aura girl, a handsome man with jet black wings, a green-skinned boy with a bird-like beak, a dog standing on two legs, a dark-skinned girl carrying a huge voodoo doll, a little girl accompanied by a giant koi fish, a little girl with bunny ears riding a one-eyed frog, a boy holding a thread with his head floating, and a boy in a black kimono carrying a scythe like a grim reaper.

They are Momo, Yuki Onna, Ootengu, Kappa, Inugami, Ushi no Toki, Kingyo Hime, Yamausagi, Kubinashi, and Kuro Douji.

"Ohhh, I got an SSR, and a reviver!" Izumi exclaimed.

Warrod, Tabane, and Rori who had seen Izumi use the Mystery Amulets were still impressed when they saw him use it again. Meanwhile, Hiiro was dumbfounded as this was the first time he had seen such a thing.

Izumi ignored their expressions. What caught his attention this time was that his summoning could be said to be quite lucky. It's rare to get an SSR, Ootengu, from the first ten pulls. Meanwhile, the others are no less bad even though they have different levels of rarity.

Kappa and Kubinashi are DPSs, but their strength is still far below Inugami and Kuro, who are both one level below Ootengu.

Good thing he summoned Momo, Yuki Onna, Ushi no Toki, Kingyo-hime, and Yama usagi. Five of them are valuable supports.

Momo could heal and revive, Yuki Onna could crowd control enemies using her snow and ice manipulations, Ushi no Toki could curse an enemy using a voodoo doll to take greater damage from any attack, Kingyo-hime could heal and a substitute DPS at the same time, and last but not the least was Yama Usagi who could boost allies' speed and attack.

"Hmm, I can create a decent lineup with them." Izumi muttered while nodding.

All of the shikigamis knew that Ootengu was the strongest among them. So before he spoke, no one dared to do so. Moreover, they could feel 5 humans with such high spiritual powers.

Ootengu was confused. The area around him was too unfamiliar. Even the atmosphere was so different from what he used to feel.

Ootengu felt a connection with a boy with shoulder-length hair. Thus, he immediately kneeled in front of him.

"Ootengu greet young lord!"

Knowing that Izumi was the one who summoned them, the others followed after Ootengu.

Izumi waved his hand.

"Stop calling me a young lord! The word "lord" is kinda mockery in this era."

Ootengu was speechless for a moment. But then, he replied.

"Yes, master." All of them answered together.

Izumi nodded, then started to speak again.

"First of all, I summoned all of you here to assign you to guard this place. Look at that big tree over there!" Izumi pointed in a certain direction. He carried on, "That was the place we created. I—" Izumi explained to Ootengu and reminded him that the humans in the shinobi world were so strong.

If Ootengu didn't feel how dangerous Rori and Izumi were, he would have doubted Izumi's words earlier.

"Anyway, these are my friends. So carve them in your mind on how they look!" Izumi showed him the chat group members' photos.

"I understand." Ootengu answered with a bow.

Izumi turned back to Warrod and the others while saying.

"Let's go! For now, they could stay here while guarding the village. Well, even though this place is unspoiled, I at least anticipate bad things that could happen."

Izumi walked toward the yacht and the others followed him from behind.

"I forgot you had the Mystery Amulet. You never used it again after the first try." Rori had completely forgotten that Izumi had indeed gotten the Mystery Amulets. So, Rori thought the Mystery Amulets had been turned into shop coins since the reward could be exchanged.

"Well, all this time I didn't use it on purpose because I wanted to use my ability. Other than that, I didn't have time to use it."

"Make sense. If you only depend on them all the time, you won't be as strong as you are now."

Since the matter to guard the village was settled, they boarded the yacht together. And with the help of the GPS that Tabane had made previously, the yacht sailed toward the destination.

Because the village was located on the island, Izumi decided to name it Kaiyougakure since the village was hidden in the middle of the ocean. It means the hidden ocean village.

"Well, as Sasuke said. Kaiyougakure village is located in the middle of the ocean, on an island to be exact. The location is quite far to the south of the Land of Waves. They were a newly formed village." Kakashi replied to them.

"A new village?" Three of them were surprised.

"Yes. The letter said that their village's location was unfavorable so they decided to form an alliance with Konohagakure village which could be said to be one of the 5 strongest villages in the shinobi world."

"Humph. It's only natural that they want an alliance with our village." Sasuke snorted. He felt that the hidden ocean village was fortunate enough to be acknowledged by the Hokage. But Kakashi denied it.

"Don't get it wrong, Sasuke! That statement is only on paper. If I'm being honest, I actually feel that our village is lucky to be allied with that village."

"What?"

"Why did you say that Kakashi-sensei?"

"How?"

Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura couldn't believe what Kakashi said. Although they might admit that their village wasn't as strong as when the fourth Hokage was still alive, Konohagakure village was still stronger than an ordinary ninja village.

Kakashi smiled before asking.

"Do you still remember about the foreign girl who came to our village?"

Naruto's head was slapped by Kakashi and fell over to the ground with his head first. He immediately got up while rubbing his face in pain.

Meanwhile, Sasuke and Sakura nodded. Kakashi continued.

"You all should remember her since she was sparring with you back then. And just so you know, she's from that village."

Those three kids were stunned. They wanted to confirm whether what Kakashi said was true or just nonsense. Then, Kakashi explained briefly.

"Well, at that time, I wasn't sure if she told the truth. After all, I had never heard of that village. Anyway, what do you think about her?"

Sasuke pondered for a moment before answering.

"She's too strong. I couldn't even land a hit on her at all."

"That's natural. Anyway, just don't underestimate Kaiyougakure village just because they're a new village."
