The Awakening
" What was that noise ? " asked Kanako
" What noise? I heard nothing. " said Kazuki as another noise was heard from the bag.
" Show me the bag Kazuki ! Now ! " exclaimed Kanako as she twisted Kazuki's ear.
" Oww oww Okay ! " said Kazuki as he opened the bag.
The baby which was given to Kazuki by the dying farmer was inside the bag. The baby yawned as he opened his eyes and stared at Kanako.
" YOU BROUGHT THE BABY TO SUCH A DANGEROUS PLACE AND DIDN'T EVEN HANDED HIM TO SOMEONE RESPONSIBLE?? KAZUKI YOU IDIOT " shouted Kanako.
Kazuki pointed at Kanako while gritting his teeth. The baby mimicked Kazuki's pointing.
" Don't tell me what to do " said Kazuki
" Oh yeah ? " questioned Kanako
" YES " shouted Kazuki
" WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU TRY ! " shouted Kanako
" Guys c'mon stop we are in a middle of something here what are you guys even.. doing " said Jetchi
" I think they have gone crazy " added Jetchi
Both of them looked at Jetchi and rushed at him, grabbing his collar and pulling him towards them simultaneously.
" You think we are crazy " said Kazuki and Kanako simultaneously.
" No no...No " said Jetchi as he shook his head in fear.
" Whatever you guys are doing stop it right now, we got bigger problems to solve, stop being so immature " said Gorosuke
" Uh - Oh " said Jetchi
" What ? " questioned Kanako
" Guys look " said Jetchi as he pointed behind Kanako and Kazuki.
A group of Rin-shi hopped towards the group direction. Jetchi tried to gaze through the thick fog but wasn't able to see it clearly. He squinched his eyes and saw many glowing eyes. Kazuki, Kanako, Gorosuke and Jetchi took a fighting stance in order to fight the upcoming enemies. Kazuki grabbed the baby and tied him around his kimono. As the fog cleared few Rin-shi appeared infront of the group.
" Guys get ready these guys energy is way of the chart..I can feel that they are definitely getting a boost from either Camille's drugs or the moon " said Gorosuke.
" I hope Aruma is doing fine " Gorosuke thought to himself
" Ryu...Aruma please stay strong " he added.
Rin-shi stopped hopping. They twisted their necks and started to look at the baby very carefully. In the realms of the demon, younger the soul, the more potential of Ki it has. Thus the strongest demons who ate hundreds of woman or atleast 50 newborns would be granted a higher position in the realms, increasing their power and skill. As the lust for power and gluttony of higher position thrives in the demons, the often sought to eat infants and woman. Rin-shi sensed that Baby and Kanako have more Ki potential that Gorosuke or Kazuki. Rin-shi gaped their mouth and their teeth turned into fangs as it grew in size. The blinded Rin-shi were overwhelmed by their own natural instinct. They not only broke free from Camille's mind control but were able to act independently, relying completely on their natural instinct. As they slowly growled like a wild animal, they forced their eyes to open up and the stitches on their eyelids started to break. With murderous intent in their eyes they locked their eyes on the Baby and Kanako.
" I think we are gonna need more than just good luck " said Jetchi
" If they want the baby they have to go through me first " said Kanako
" We need to save both Kanako and the baby, the Rin-shi will slowly grow more stronger as the time passes. We must have hurry before it's too late " said Gorosuke
" Ok, which one of you dumbshits would like to eat a knuckle sandwich first " said Kazuki as he clenched his fists.
The Rin-shi looked at each other as they were bleeding from their gums and eyes.
" THE... AWAKENING...WE MUST " said a Rin-shi in a coarse voice.
The Rin-shi started to attack each other, chomping and eating each other simultaneously.
