Size of the Fight in the Dog

A loud whoosh , zip line noise emerged from the rubble of the hall. A grappling hook grabbed Hiroshi and Mimiko as they tried to get free of the grip. Flit stood up and charged at them. The zip line retracted as Flit crashed into a nearby tree. As the dust settled , Mimiko tried to look who grabbed them. She saw a huge man with armor and weapons.

" Grandpa? " murmured Mimiko

The man started to cough as he came out of the smoke and dust , cleaning his clothes and coat.

" Jarred!!! " said Hiroshi as he tried to stand

" Hmm yes , lack of oxygen and low bp with few cracked bones..Hmm here eat this pellet of heaven " said Jarred as he gave Hiroshi black coloured pellets

Hiroshi chewed and swallowed the pellets.

" It's Chocolate " said Hiroshi

" Who's late? " Jarred asked

" Nevermind , what are you doing here? " asked Hiroshi

" Well you see , I was collecting tree bark sample for my experiment and I got my coat stuck in a tree branch. I heard few demons talking about the greatest plan to kill you and Hiro as I was eavesdropping. I knew that my tools will come in handy so after they left , I went to my lab , got my stuff and was on my way to the hall when suddenly..a large arm swinged at me. I tried getting up multiple times but something and someone knocked me out always. I hid in the rubbles when I saw that monster because I was scared. " said Jarred as he wimped.

" You saved us Jarred without training or animal spirit " said Mimiko

" You saved our life " said Hiroshi

" Ohhh don't say it like that " said Jarred as he blushed.

" Oh I've this vitality pill that restores your energy and stamina upto a 25 percent of remaining.. I want you both to eat it " said Jarred as he handed them two pills.

" Who's that anyway ? " asked Jarred

" It's Flit " said Hiroshi

" That little monkey? " asked Jarred

" Yup " said Mimiko

" He got swole " said Jarred

" What's your plan to defeat it ? " asked Jarred

" I don't know " said Hiroshi

Jarred came close to Hiroshi and grabbed him by his collar. Jarred slapped Hiroshi 2 to 3 times continuously.

" Are you out of your goddamn mind ! " shouted Jarred

" I don't want to die !! " shouted Jarred as he wimped and teared up

" Woah woah woah " said Mimiko

Flit stood up and locked his eyes at Jarred. Flit shook his head violently and charged at Jarred on all of his four.

" JARRED !!! " shouted Hiroshi

Gor speared Flit from the side , crashing into the nearby boulder. Gor fainted as Flit started to bleed due to a broken jaw.

" Now..Now ..NOW " shouted Hiroshi as he ate the pill and stood up

" Wow , I feel fresh " he added

" I'll back you up , I mean I'll try " said Jarred

" All right " said Hiroshi as he clenched his fist

" Flit....I will save you " said Hiroshi as he whistled.

The High frequency of the whistle caught Flit's attention as he stood up and tried to fix his jaw.

" I can't fight , I'll die " said Jarred

Hiroshi looked at Gor and grabbed Jarred's hand.

" If it's Bleed-able it's Kill-able " said Hiroshi as jumped on the top of a boulder. Mimiko side rolled and rushed at Gor.

Gor was bleeding from his nose and forehead. He bruised his arm and chin. Mimiko kept his head on her lap and gave half of her vitality pill to Gor and forced him to chew it. Gor coughed as blood came out of his mouth. Mimiko , tore a piece of her cloth and tied Gor's head with it and started to heal him.

Jarred tried to look for something useful in his bag as he was talking to himself.

" Where is it , where is it , WHERE IS IT " chanted Jarred as he panted.

Flit grabbed Hiroshi and slammed him to the ground. Flit jumped and tried to squash Hiroshi by jumping on him. Hiroshi rolled away , crawling to safety. Flit looked confused as he wasn't able to find Hiroshi. Things that Jarred threw hit Flit's head , catching his attention. Flit stood behind Jarred. Unfazed , Jarred continued talking to himself and look for his stuff.

" I told you Jarred Don't overpack , Don't but you just don't LISTEN , You don't listen " said Jarred.

Flit grunted and stared at Jarred.

" Where is it , Jarred You forgetful son of a scientist , you are a genius and yet you make these mistakes " murmured Jarred as he talked to himself

" Excuse me ! I think you need to understand we are having a battle here sir " said Camille as her shadow reflected in Flit's eyes.

" Yeah yeah whatever continue , now where was I " said Jarred as he took a pause.

" Should we tell him ? " asked Mimiko

" No , Give it a second " said Hiroshi

" Found it !!! " said Jarred as turned around

" Oh it's you " he added as he looked into Flit's eyes

" Ah A brave one , What aren't you scared ? " questioned Camille

" Ah , No " said Jarred as his legs shaked and he sweated profusely.

" Sir are you having a heart attack? " questioned Camille

" No..I don't " said Jarred as his gripped his Stress ball

Camille shadow leaned in closer to look at Jarred's face. She saw a slender tall looking guy who wore a black lab coat and carried multiple items hanging around his utility belt. His untrimmed hair covered his forehead as he wore thick pair of glasses and had a slight fade of beard.

Flit who was controlled by Camille leaned his giant body , and grabbed Jarred. Camille manifested on Flit's shoulder as she walked down his arm. She got closer to Jarred. Jarred looked side ways and signalled Hiroshi.

" Mimiko , Come here " whispered Hiroshi

" Why ? " questioned Mimiko

" He is buying us time , c'mon quick we need to figure something " said Hiroshi as took few steps back.

" My god , that's the most awkwardly attractive face I've ever seen " said Camille

" Remove the glasses " she added

" No i can't see without them " said Jarred

" You dare talk back ? " grunted Camille

" I ain't taking order from a Demon " said Jarred

Camille flexed her nails and slowly ran her index finger across Jarred's face.

" Wait a minute , I remember you " said Jarred wimply

" You do ? " said Camille

" You got your ass served by that Black Lion demon thingy " said Jarred as he gulped

" You saw all of that " questioned Camille in astonishment

" You haven't healed it properly " said Jarred as he laughed

" IS THAT NOTICEABLE??? " shouted Camille as she used Flit eye as an mirror to see her reflection.

" Huh...A Demon conscious about his appearance , Awkward " said Mimiko

" I heard that you bitch " said Camille

" Hey , don't talk to my friend like that " said Jarred

" WHAT!!! " shouted Camille as she gave Jarred a death stare.

" Please?? " requested Jarred

" Silence!! You can't do anything and now you'll witness death of everyone close to you " said Camille

" Jokes on you , I have crippling Depression and no social skill , which means I've no friends " said Jarred

" Oh that's sad " said Camille , Mimiko and Hiroshi together

" I'll spare your life , I guess " said Camille

" Hahaha " laughed Jarred

" Why you laughing?? " questioned Camille

" I bought enough time for everyone , now to end this " said Jarred as he started to shout

" AAAAHH!!! SPIRIT OF THE TARANTULA " shouted Jarred as he screamed on the top of his lungs.

" What ? " said Camille , Mimiko and Hiroshi together

Jarred shouted and squished his way out of Flit's grip. He took a deep breath and bite Flit's palm. Flit was unfazed.

" Anticlimatic " said Hiroshi

" It was way cooler in my mind " said Jarred

" Punish him " said Camille as she disappeared.

" That Bitch is playing mind game with us " said Mimiko

" I heard that " said Camille as she was disappearing

Flit swinged his arm violently. Jarred face turned pale 😵‍💫 and he felt nauseous. Flit searched his pocket and found a hard wooden piece. He tried to eat it , thinking it was chocolate. As he bit into it , but realised that it was a whistle. He blew it as hard as he could. Flit screamed in pain as he threw Jarred and covered his ears. Hiroshi caught Jarred and slided in between Flit's leg. Jarred threw his clackers at Flit's feet which tangled his feet as he fell on the ground. Flit tried to dig a hole to cover his ears until Jarred stopped.

" What's that ? " asked Mimiko

" I couldn't hear Shit " said Hiroshi

" It's a dog whistle actually " said Jarred

" I didn't over packed " he added.

" We have few minutes , decide how we gonna do things " said Mimiko

Hiroshi looked at the sky and grabbed Mimiko's hand.

" I have a plan " said Hiroshi

Flit stood up and tore the rope of the clackers. He shook his head and roared , looking for Hiro and Mimiko. A pellet landed near Flit. Curiously , Flit ate the pellet. One after another , Flit ate a dozen of pellets. The pellet path lead him down the staircase. He saw Jarred , who was standing at the bottom. Flit raged as he charged at Jarred.

" I am gonna die " said Jarred as he gulped.
