Scars Don't Heal
Aruma carried and dragged the remaining students and villagers in a nearby shelter and hid their body with cloths and banner from the festival celebration. A cold wind blew around the abandoned area which creeped through narrow paths. Aruma sat down to catch his breath as he looked for any sake bottle around his waist.
" Damn it , I am out of stock " said Aruma
" Let's inspect shall we " said Aruma as he closed the door of the shelter. He looked around food stalls to look for sake and saw a bottle of rice wine. He grabbed the bottle from the stall and shook it. Aruma broke the bottle neck as he started to taste.
" It's old but it works " said Aruma.
Aruma searched for the source of sound as he reached to the Burning pyre at the middle of the festival ground. Aruma smirked as he gazed at it.
" God's and their merciless way , innocents suffer , innocent people get persecuted but they still have hope that someone , someone who lives above the sky , someone who is omnipresent , shall protect them. They die thinking that someone will arrive , like a prophet or a messiah or a messenger that will save the innocents from the cruelty. What they don't know is that they all just wait for your mistakes and work accordingly , No matter how many innocents are killed " said Aruma as he looked at the fire , feeling it's warmth on his face.
" A god , maybe a protector from someone , for some he is an idol and for some , source of hatred " a voice echoed
" Ahh Lord Varmi " said Aruma as he sipped his sake slowly.
" It's been 30 years " said Varmi
" You are my animal spirit and I am still to this day very much honoured that you choose me. I really don't have anything to say to you really. I tried to think and think in these past 30 years but the pain and the wound just won't make up for the mistakes that the parliament of gods made " said Aruma
" Kae was among the greatest fighters that I have ever seen , you were on par with Gorosuke but he was stronger than both of you " said Varmi
" The animal spirit of the Armadillo really didn't help me when I need it the most. That armour that....that power , I needed to save my dear friend....and you didn't even came to help me. I tried to contact you , I begged but you were just stubborn as a mule. Perhaps you were listening to the orders of the God but I do not. " said Aruma as he stood up
" They need you , those kids really need your help , they won't be able to defeat those two monsters on their own they are still learning and you are a master. I know that the things have been very bad for you over these past few years but you need to realise that time heals all wounds." said Varmi
" I do not agree " said Aruma
" What ?? " asked Varmi
" I said I don't agree " said Aruma
" Why ?? " questioned Varmi
" The wounds remain in time , the mind protecting its sanity covers them with scar but it's never gone. Wounds heal , Scar don't " said Aruma as he finished the rice wine.
Varmi summoned in spirit form in front of Aruma as the rice wine rolled down and came at rest just before Varmi feet.
" I do know that the way a mind covers them is not through alcohol and drugs " said Varmi
" You could have been the next master. You could have saved those villages , the amount of training that you could have invested in yourself would have made you The Spirit master. You could have tied a beautiful knot of relationship and settle or have a family. One of the most loved family in all the villages You could have taken to responsibility to immortalize Kae's name. You could have made him a war Hero like everybody made Gorosuke. You ruined your life on your own." said Varmi as he followed Aruma
" Do you even know how much I have sacrificed. Kae wanted to leave the village that day for his engagement. He was killed weeks before his marriage. He wanted to settle with his family in the home that I am living in today. Kae wanted me to be his best man for the speech. He gave up my name for recommendation when Shen declined the Head Master position. He gave up , he gave up the title just because I could have it. He saved me multiple time and the time I had to repay him I failed. He died in my arms when I woke up injured. As he was taking his last breath..the only thing he said to me was to take care of his wife and maa. You and all those masters that you are saying would have been in a friendly relationship could have saved Kae instead they left him to rot. I went villages to villages carrying his lifeless body as I tried my best to preserve it. I looked everywhere every mountain , every village and every city because I knew that he could be resurrected and what happened nothing absolutely nothing. " said Aruma as he was drunk again.
" Past is History Aruma , You need to move on for Kae " said Vami as he followed Aruma
" I need to find those monsters and beat them once and for all " said Aruma
" You want to save the kids? " said Vami
" For Kae " said Aruma as he grabbed his hair bun and opened it.
Aruma turned around and looked at the hall.
" I think he can do it " said Varmi
" Who ? " asked Aruma
" The vessel " said Varmi
" The one with me or the one with Gor " asked Aruma
" You do know who the vessel is ? " questioned Varmi
" I think it's the one with Gor " said Aruma
" I think so too " said Varmi
" Aruma...best of luck " said Varmi as he disappeared.
Aruma looked at the pyre and started to search for Rhy and Tum.
Meanwhile Flit was flying around in the air trying to get Hiroshi off his back. He swirled and glided , intentionally crashing into trees and boulders but despite his efforts , Flit wasn't able get Hiroshi off his back. Hiroshi tried grabbing the Obsidian but it just penetrated deeper into Flit's nape. Flit flew high near the clouds. Due to decrease in oxygen level and increase in atmospheric pressure , Hiroshi started to faint.
" HIROSHI!! , C'MON BOYO , 1 2 AND 3 " shouted Toraje
Hiroshi shouted and with summoning all his remaining energy , punched Flit's Obsidian. It released high amount of energy and electrocuted Flit and Hiroshi. Flit grabbed Hiroshi as Hiroshi fainted. Flit started swirling and dive down. He seismic tossed Hiroshi into the ground. Flit landed and tried to shook off the pain. The Obsidian had a crack on it.
" HIROSHI!! HIROSHI!! " shouted Mimiko as she rushed at Hiroshi
" Son... c'mon we need to fight " said Gor
" I.... don't.....thin....k " murmured Hiroshi
" Mimiko heal him , I'll buy you some time " said Gor as he folded his Yi-Fu sleeves.
" Aah..ah AAAHH " shouted Flit as he raged
" Finish him " Camille voice echoed
" N.....N... " murmured Flit
" What ? " questioned Camille
" NOOOO!!!!!!! " shouted Flit as he started to punch himself.
" SENSEI!! now's our chance " shouted Mimiko
Gor nodded and rushed at Flit grabbing him from behind. He proceeded to connect to German suplexes to Flit , targeting his nape.
Gor connected multiple attacks as Flit tried to fight and resist his mutation. Flit tried to fly but Gor grabbed one of Flit's wing and broke it.
" LEAVE ME ALONE!!!! " shouted Flit as grabbed Gor by his mouth and threw him away. Gor head busted open as he landed on the staircase.
" No wait Flit " said Mimiko as she stood up
" Flit look at me , Look at Hiro " he added.
Flit stared at Mimiko and Hiroshi. He tried to resist the urge of attacking them. He grabbed his other arm and tried to break it.
" Oh that's bull shit " said Camille as she dusted some Ivy powder on Flit.
Flit lost his consciousness as he fell on the ground. Mimiko grabbed Hiroshi and tried to escape but Flit stood up. This time , his eyes had Camille's reflection in them.
" Damn i didn't knew that i would be forced to do this " said Camille
" You are controlling his body?? " asked Mimiko
" Hell yeah? " said Camille
" Now die " said Camille as Flit charged at Mimiko
Mimiko knew that if she saved herself , Hiroshi will be in grave danger and if she saved Hiroshi , no one will be Able to heal them. Mimiko threw Hiroshi away as she tried to block the incoming attack.
Flit tripped as something caught Flit's leg.
" What the? " said Mimiko as a grappling hook , grabbed Mimiko's dress.
