Chapter 1 : Life Is So Miserable
Early morning at 6 am Anna wakes up and makes breakfast. She enters inside her daughter's room and tries to wake her up, "Julie, baby wake up. It's 7 am already you will be late for school"
"Good morning mama" Julie wakes up and kisses Anna.
"Oh my princess, go brush your teeth and come for the breakfast I have made your favourite pancakes" Anna pets her head.
After having breakfast as usual Anna drops Julie at her school and goes to work.
She works at her friend Laila's Beauty Parlour. Laila was very nice and supportive to Anna. They where friends since kindergarten when they were four.
"Hey Anna, the make-up you did yesterday was loved by everyone. You are the star of our Parlour." Laila praises Anna.
"Thanks, Lai" Anna replies and gets back to work.
While doing the makeup of a customer Anna pass outs.
Everyone in the parlour gets panic.
Laila calls Ambulance.
At Hospital,
Doctor sees Anna's report and says with a sad face, "Miss Anna I'm very sorry to inform you that.. you have blood cancer and it's in the 2nd stage."
With eyes full of tears Anna says, "what nonsense..doctor you must be kidding me na..please say it's a joke. Please!"
Laila hugs her and calms her down. She asks, "How can we treat it? Can Anna be Fine again?"
"Well things are very complicated, it's the 2nd stage so there are possibilities of recovery but the treatment will cost around 2 million dollars for all together treatment and the success rate is 40% " the doctor replies.
"How many days will I have if I won't do the treatment?" Anna asks.
"Maybe 2 years" the doctor replies.
Laila grabs Anna's hand, drags her out and says "What do you mean by you won't do the treatment? Have you gone mad? Do you wanna die? Have you thought About Julie? If it's about money then I will help you with it but please don't say like this"
"I'm doing this for Julie. Looks If will sell everything then I might get the money for the treatment. But what after that? Where will we live , how will I get money to raise her, her educations, her dreams, her life, everything will be on mess." Anna replies.
"But without you also she will be in mess. Please think about it. For us, you are more important than anything we will find the way for everything. But please let's do the treatment " Laila pleads.
Anna asks Laila to come with her inside the doctor's cabin and asks, "Doctor, you said it will cost 2 million dollars for overall treatment. But what after that? Can you give a guarantee that till 50 I will be all fine? Can you give me a guarantee that I don't need to spend a penny on my health after it? "
Doctor gets nervous.
"You can't, isn't it? " Anna asks.
Anna and Laila leaves the hospital.
At home, Laila and Anna continues their conversation.
"Anna I know it's hard but we will go through this, please agree for the treatment" Laila requests.
"No Laila I can't. I can't be so greedy. It's not beneficial too. I can't let Julie live in poverty just because of me" Anna replies.
"But Anna we also can't live without you. You have never been greedy till all these years, you know, that time 9 years back when you knew about the baby.. You could have done an abortion and move on in your life. But you chose to give birth to this angel. You are not greedy Anna. " Laila consoles Anna.
"I know it will be hard for Julie but she has to go through it. With the insurance money which she will get after my death, she can have a better life. And you are also there for her to take care of her. But if I will do this treatment all we get is debts and hard life. Trust me I have been through it. People say life is hard without family. But life is harder without money, it's even harder to see your loved one sleeping with an empty stomach " Anna replies.
"Mommy are you going to leave me," Julie asks with teary eyes.
Anna and Laila gets shocked to see Julie.
Then Anna remembers that today Julie had a half-day off and Dan (her neighbour) dropped her home.
"I hate you, mom. I hate you very much" Julie weeps and run out.
Anna and Laila tries to follow Julie. But they missed her.
Anna gets very sad and weeps out.
It has been 24 hrs since Julie was missing. All the police were searching for her and at the junkyard one of them finds Julie.
They informs Anna about Julie.
Anna and Laila takes her inside the home. Anna weeps out and beats Julie for running away from home.
Julie cries and says, "Mommy.. I have heard your conversations with Laila aunt. I know you don't wanna do treatment because of me. But if I will disappear then you will get your treatment done. so, please mommy let me go"
After listening to Julie Anna gets emotional and hugs her.
"baby, no I'm not denying the treatment because of you.. mama hates getting injections.. how can I get that dangerous treatment. I'm just scared baby. I'm just scared" Anna consoles Julie and hugs her.
Few days have passed. The surrounding was still sad. Anna was watching tv and there pops up an advertisement for the pageant competition. She remembers her past when she was all ready to go on stage. But she gets unconscious and then realises about being 3 months pregnant.
From that point she have left all her dreams and transformed from the college queen Anna to the a busy mommy.
Anna realizes that she had lost a lots of things in the journey of being a good mother and now she can't even complete it well.
Then Anna decides to fulfill all her remaining dreams before dying.
Anna calls Laila and tells her about her goals for the remaining 2 years.
Goal 1: To settle Julie's life and get her new family.
Goal 2: To fulfill her dreams to be the miss world.
Laila gets shocked after hearing Anna's goal as it was very difficult to proceed. Because at the age of 25 and being a mother it's near to impossible to become a miss world.
Anna says she only have 2 years to live and this 2 year she wants to live as old Anna who was never afraid of anything, who likes to break law and doesn't care about anyone.
Eventhough Laila wasn't so excited and happy for Anna's decision she still tries to help her to make plans for her remaining 2 years.
Anna and Laila does research about Miss World eligibility and gets all the information.
Where their 1st target is to get into the local beauty pageant and win it. But in city where Anna lives, most of peoples knows her so it was impossible for her to get into the local beauty pageant of their locality.
So they decideds to change their location.
But before that they also have to settle Julie with a new family.
Anna and Laila thinks that the only way to get Julie a decent family who would love her like the real one is to find her real daddy.
So, Laila asks Anna about Julie's real father.
But Anna has no idea about it because at her college time she used to be an absolute slut. She was the type of girl who doesn't believe in love and likes to make out with the handsome boys of the school.
But somehow after collecting and calculating dates and data about Anna's sex life within the 3 months before getting pregnant, they pointed out 5 names who have high probability of being Julie's daddy.
And that's how Anna gets into her 1st step of being Miss World 2021 with her daughter.
