Sunny After The Storm

Many days have passed. It is now the day of the funeral. Narie and Finn had lost someone, a close friend. Who knew that as soon as rebirth happens, death meets with someone else. The cycle really is balanced.

"God must be watching us as our lives flicker on and off" Delya thought.

Crying and sobbing can be heard throughout the halls. Apparently Narie and Finn's friend, Aslen is a firefighter. It was his day off so he spent it with his family at the mall.

"I heard the boy's seen it all, poor thing..." someone whispered.

Delya looks over at the two grannies silently chatting at one corner of the room. At the other corner, you can see a small fragile toddler snuggling into his mother's arm. Both shedding tears, with one of them too young to understand the situation.

Narie walks over to the weeping lady.

"Oh Sylvia... I'm so sorry" Narie said in a trembling voice.

She stopped there knowing there is no words that can comfort a grieving widow. Finn walks over after greeting the guests.

"Why don't you go get something to eat, you guys must be starving..." Finn persuaded the mothers.

At the table, simple food were placed. It was some of Aslen's favorite dishes. No one said a word while trying to force themselves to take a bite.

Delya looks into the little boy's innocence eyes. "He's in a better place, and if it's meant to be, you'll meet again someday." is what she wanted to tell him.

A couple weeks have passed. The little boy and his mother spent the time grieving for their lost loved one.

One Saturday afternoon, Delya wakes up from her nap. She found herself in an unfamiliar living room.

"We'll help you however we can" said Narie.

Delya realizes that she was in the little boy's home.

"How is he doing?" She wondered.

Delya search the room with her eyes. She found the child sitting by the window, playing with his favorite toy, a fire truck. She immediately knew that the boy was able to comprehend the situation about his father, because there was no excitement on his face. (.—.)<-

"Pyah"

The little boy glance over at the baby lying down on the playmat. He didn't say anything except look straight into her eyes.

"Do you have to stare so intensely?" Delya thought to herself.

Children tend to get along well, but for them it was as they couldn't be bothered with each other's existence.

"Kiziel, her name is Delya. She's your friend." Said a gentle voice.

"...No" he blurted out.

Delya thought "excuse me kid? Fine I won't fight with you for now!".

The lady brought Kiziel closer to Delya. With her hand, she gently patted the baby's head.

"See? She's a beautiful baby isn't she? Pat her gently." She said.

With his little hands, he slowly patted her head.

"Gaah" a high pitch scream let out.

Kiziel's hand were slightly pinching Delya's cheek.

She thought to herself "this little cheeky brat! It hurts!".

A sudden giggle filled the room. Kiziel thought it was funny the way Delya reacted that he couldn't hold his laughter back.

"I didn't know you could smile like that..." Delya thought. "Fine... I'll forgive you just this once".
