'' thought you need help with the drinks, it took you a bit '' Julien notes meeting us halfway

'' the bar was packed and we've had a bit of a situation but we sorted it '' replies Carter while I remain mute.

'' everything okay? " he asks addressing me.

'' yeah, all good let's get going ''

And with that he takes the drinks from my hand and strides towards our table, as each one of us grabs a glass my brother cuts in eyeing me.

“you sure you can handle this much alcohol little sis?“ ever the protective brother.

“I think I can handle it I took a little break earlier and drank lots of water .. I should be fine! besides, we won’t be going back home tonight “ I announce nonchalantly.

“how so?!” he asks again arching a brow
