Alienation

Hi readers, I will discuss my feelings toward Amulet World and how I got here from chapters 2,3 and 4. If you do not wish to read it, kindly skip these chapters.

I am trapped, scared and lost. I don't know if I will live tomorrow. Everything I touch, hear, smell and see is deadly. I might be at the only place where humanity can never come. I don't know my way back. The only thing I do here is trying to survive and imagine how great life would have been if I just lived normally. Now that I am stuck in the Darklands, I have all the time to tell you how I got here.

I did have a normal life, friends, school, a girlfriend and a wonderful family but I abandoned it when I saved a person's life. That is because by saving her, I just made the ring choose me. A ring of black and white. This is no ordinary ring, this mantle has been passed on from generations of Amulatians.

Let me explain it better to you, there is a world far beyond the knowledge of us earthlings. This world is exactly like earth but is in a parallel dimension. This interconnected Planet is called the Amulet world.

When the ring chose me, I became the first earthling to ever yield the responsibility to protect the two worlds. Well, of course, I didn't know anything about that then. So I wore it because it looked cool and then showed it to my friends.

Life went on normally for around a month until the portal opened. Amulatians soon realised that it chose me. These people don't know anything about doors. They break my roof and come into my bedroom. I only know that because I was up drinking water that night. They poofed something on me which made me sleep; and the next time I wake up, I am sleeping on the floor on Amulet world. That was the time the Amulatians (people who live in Amulet world) explained all this stuff and said that I would have to take an oath to protect these worlds.

It took me time to take all that in and after I realised what the heck was going on. I remembered that it was a school night. I had to go back to sleep and that too on earth! That was when I got mad. I mean like what the heck man, they take me to another dimension, explain some random stuff I really don't wanna know and then ask me to take some oath. I was going crazy, but you really don't want to negotiate with a bunch of angry Amulatians. Especially when they are pissed off with the fact that an earthling and that too one that is not fully developed is the one chosen to protect two worlds. So I took the oath and the Amulatian said, "Your training will start in a month's time and your trainer will be Allumonius."

Do you know something? When you are alienated in the Darklands, you will need a mood and also a safe place to keep recollecting your past. I am starving and I don't have that mood right now. So see you until I find some real-time to think about my past than a person writing his autobiography right before he is going to be eaten by a slyvester
